update admin email address when confirmation not possible

Greetings, I have been trying to change the Administration Email Address and can see a instruction “There is a pending change of the admin email to …” however this request has to go to the old Admin Email Address to be confirmed. This email address was shut down before I knew that I had to change the address. I cannot re-start the old email address so there is no way to authorize the request. This must have happened to someone else out there! Please help!

This topic was raised in a forum over a year ago and never resolved. The admin email in settings is years out of date. I enter one of my emails, but do not get the confirmation email I need to effect the change. I have tried three different email addresses, but have received no confirmation email at any of them.

I’ve been trying to change the email address to which admin notifications are sent – I change the email address, it appears to save, but when I refresh the email page, the address reverts to the default administrator email set in WordPress settings.

Anyone have any help with this?

First, I am not very knowledgeable – need clear direction.

we want members of our organization to be able to create their own username and password. I have loaded this plug in and believe I have it set.

Questions: will the new user be able to create their own name and password? after read the FAQ’s it appears to me that no, they can’t. Our users want that option.

I am currently the admin and want to set up an additional admin account with a different email address to allow that person to do the approvals. I saw that question in the FAQ’s but didn’t find an answer. Can this be accomplished? If so, how?

Thanks for understanding, I am managing the site for our just over 100 members and they are requesting their own sign on’s rather than one global sign on for all 100.

Currently I am able to receive the email because I am the admin. I need to send the email to two other person.
