This site is a staging site of my main site where the plugin was first installed and setup. Is there possible a path that is not generating properly because it is a staged site? Creating the staged site automatically corrects most links from blackbirdandcompany.com to test.blackbirdandcompany.com.
I’m afraid to test on teh main site incse I can’t log back in.
]]>However, you have to have admin access to the website to view the CV.
Can this be amended?
]]>I accidentally locked myself out of my WordPress dashboard after modifying permissions with the Members plugin. I attempted to resolve the issue by deleting the plugin via FTP, but the issue persists, and I still can’t access my dashboard or administrative functions.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance on how to restore access to the dashboard without affecting my website’s content and functionality.
Thank you in advance for your help!

After more than a week trawling the Internet, fruitlessly, I decided to seek help here:
My site works perfectly, but I am having issues with the admin user. I have an active directory and users log in to register/add their websites – all these users logging in via google login and are getting registered as admin and they have access to entire website . I’m not sure how to fix it .
I can log in as admin. so cxan all the users unless I manually change their access to the website . the users can execute any admin option that is done through wp-admin/admin.php – that works perfectly for ALL – putting the site ar RISK.
Things I have tried (and don’t work):
None of the above helped.
I am at a loss. Any help before someone trashes the WordPress forever would be really appreciated.
Thank you.
]]>I have a user group – Store Vendors that I grant access to wp-admin and management relevant to them, such as adding and editing their own products, which works welll.
All restricted areas of wp are not showing for them. One vital exception is Woocommerce. Woo shows and that sort of is good, since they need access to orders, but they have full admin access to woo, all settings. Integration, VAT, Payments.
I tried tweaking things in members plugin. Restricting woo restricts everything woo. I would say this is a bug, and a big one at that.
How can I allow backend access, but only give them order management of own orders in the woo panels. In my case I have Kadence email customizer and also payment stripe plugin, that they should not be able to access either….
]]>I’m in a challenging situation after attempting to change my WordPress site’s domain and would greatly appreciate your expertise.
To add to my woes, I had sought advice from both WordPress forums and www.remarpro.com, only to be redirected back here with the hope that the UpdraftPlus community might have the answers.
The core of my dilemma lies in my UpdraftPlus backup. I am hesitant to create a new WordPress account to restore my backup because I fear I’ll end up with duplicate subscriptions for both WordPress and Elementor Pro, which could be a needless additional expense.
Is there a way to restore my UpdraftPlus backup without having to create a new account, or to ensure that my current subscriptions will be recognized and not duplicated? Any guidance on how to proceed without risking further complications would be a lifesaver.
Looking forward to any advice you may have.
Best regards,
Reece
Last night I changed the WordPress address from (the following is an example and not the actual address) https://myname1.sg-host.com/ to https://companyname.sg-host.com/. This morning, when I went to log into the dashboard, I was unable to. The browser is saying that the URL is taking too long to respond and the page cannot be reached. I tried both WordPress addresses (the original and the new). The original always redirects to the new one and then I get the error.
]]>Yesterday, I used FileZilla to FTP into my site and delete a plugin file that, for some reason, was not removed from my site when I deleted it from the dashboard. (And it was causing performance issues).
Just after that, I was able to see the front-end of my site (https://allthingsfadra) but receive the dreaded error 500 when trying to access the Admin dashboard.
Things to know:
– This only occurs when using the network in my house (wifi)
– It is accessible by anyone (including my web host) NOT on my wifi
– I can access it from my phone when I’m using cellular
Host says it’s not a security issue on his end. If it was it would block me from the entire site, not just the admin page. And the block would have expired by now.
Xfinity (my network) says they don’t see any security blocks or issues on their end and they’re baffled as well that it’s just the admin page and not the whole site. Regardless, I did fill out a form for them to remove any possible security blocks *just in case*
I’m at a complete loss and so is everyone I’ve roped into this. Any random suggestions will be considered!
