I have a question which I think, or am hoping, is easy to answer. I just don’t know what I am missing… Basically, I am creating a WP theme myself and I want to add an image for one site as a background and a video for another side as a background. If I use my text editor (without WP) and use the following code for adding images / videos, it works perfectly fine. But when I copy & paste that same code into my WordPress files, the image or video will not show up. I googled a lot, but keep getting the same codes that I already have and that are not working for me in WP. If anyone could explain me what I am missing, that would be great!

I would like to add an image to the post to be found when searching in Google.
I know how to add stars to a post, but how to add an image to it?

Since i’ve updated my wordpress to 4.1 (aysel theme) I’m not able to add images to my posts (nor can I set a featured image). When I click the add image button, wordpress tries to start an image gallery at the buttom of my browser. I can select images in the first 10 seconds, but I’m not able to scroll down and there is no ‘set image’ or ‘select image’ button showing up. I’m not able to scroll upwards anymore and I have hit to the ‘go back page’ button from my browser.

I allready tried to deactivate all my plugins. Here’s the list of plugins i’m using:
– Contact Form 7
– Icegram
– Icegram Analytics
– Icegram Themes Pack 1
– MailChimp for WordPress Lite
– UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
– WordPress Importer

I also tried to switch back to theme Thirtheen, but dat did not make any difference too.

When using add new media from the wordpress menu on the left side I’m able to upload images. But I can only upload the images, and not add it to a post or set it as a featured image with the image gallery thing. I think it has something to do with the grid image gallery thing that has been introduced in 4.0, but i’m not able to find any solution to my problem.

Can someone help me please?

The same plugin on the same server (Godaddy) only the second installation of WordPress to operate normally. I tried putting the advice from different forums but to no avail.

Also, when the site tries to insert a gallery that is not possible because it appears as a blank window that does not have any galleries.

On the error log page on the server the following message appears:

I’m having some problems trying to add a simple image to my homepage.
I’ve created some space after the dotted lines and that’s exactly where I want the image (centered), but I’m getting confused with the code I need to use and where I need to add it in order to get this done. Do I need to edit the front-page.php or the stylesheet? Or both?
