add widgets to customizer widgets list?

Hi,
is it possible to add widgets to the available widgets list in apearance>widgets, so that I can use them in the sidebar or footer?
I’ve been surching online, but all I find is how to add a widget to a sidebar or footer, but I know how that works. I haven’t been able to find any information on how to add a widget to the available widgets list.

Any information on this will be very helpfull.

I would like to replace the “prowdly powered by wordpress” text with three widgets (So basically, keep the layout, white background, but replace that text with three columns with text widget etc).

I have installed Footer Putter plugin to create the widget area, but not sure how to hook it into the site footer (class site-info).

I would be happy to change plugin if there is another one that works better for this purpose.

Adding new widgets to Responsive theme

I am brand new to wordpress! I have added a new widget to my child theme responsive but whatever I drag to it goes away when I refresh the screen. It also doesn’t show on my webpage? I added the line ` to my index php where I want it to show up by nothing appears on the screen. I think it is because the widget I drop in doesn’t stay? Any ideas? The site is called notabletravel.com.

Currently the TweetBox Plugin only allows for 1 widget box. I am workin on a complex website with many different sidebars that contain different info depending on the page.

Is there any way to get get this plugin to show multiple Widgets to add in the different sidebars?

Cannot remove widgets

There are widgets in my sidebar that I cannot get rid of. In fact – There are (apparently) 5 widgets in use in the sidebars total (links, archives, categories, meta and recent articles) but when I go to the page where I am supposed to be able to add or remove them – all of these show up in available widgets, but not under the sidebar as being in use. In the instructions, I am supposed to see them in the Sidebar 1 or Sidebar 2 and drop and drag it out (back to available widgets) if I don’t want it in my sidebar. But both Sidebar spaces are blank, which means I cannot “drop and drag” them out of the sidebar to remove it. Is there any way to resolve this? I am using the WP theme called Live by Herdo, if that helps, any. Thanks.

when i open
presentation->widgets

i see some widgets named “Text” “Text” what are they for? are they just place holders for other widgets to be added later?
