a blank page appears with “-1” displayed at the top left hand side of the page.
I have
but yet, the same issue is still happening. But when I am logged in, and visit that page, I am able to see the Add post page, but she keeps seeing a blank page with -1

Clicking “Attempt recovery” does not do anything.
Please advise. Thank you.
]]>All plugins are up date, as is WordPress (v 5.8.2). I also have WooCommerce (v 5.9.0), BulletProof Security, Health Check & Troubleshooting, UpdraftPlus and, in trying to diagnose the problem, Really Simple SSL. WooCommerce also did a database upgrade in the last few days (during the course of trying to fix the problem).
I’ve tried deactivating all of them and also switching to a default theme.
When all plugins are disabled, the beginning of the error message given in the console is
Uncaught SyntaxError: nothing to repeat blocks.min.js:1:128050
Uncaught TypeError: wp.blocks is undefined post-new.php:1676:1 .
My test site (on a different host but the same versions of WordPress and WooCommerce) is working fine. Tech support at host of the live site says they can edit or add posts without any problems.
I’ve installed the Classic Editor plugin and was able to edit posts, but my custom post types and layout rely on the Gutenberg editor, so this isn’t a solution.
Any insights would be really appreciated!
]]>I would like to allow my members to be contributor (to only write post without accessing wp admin). So firstly, I assigned the default wordpress “contributor” role to my members, and my members are able to see the top admin bar in front-end but not able to add new post. (The page only refresh and shows nothing when they click the “add post”)
Then, I created a new role in Ultimate member , and at the wp capabilities section, I checked “edit_posts” “edit_others_posts” “upload_files” , and assigned this role to my members, but my members still couldn’t add post. (same situation as above).
Any other way I can do to let my members able to write post without accessing wp admin?
]]>I’m working on a Mac Powerbook running Mac OS Big Sur 11.0.1, and I cannot create a new post using Safari Version 14.0.1 (16610.2.11.51.8).
I do not have this problem in Google Chrome Version 93.0.4577.63 (Official Build) (x86_64).
When I click on Add New Post in Safari, this is what I see, in the order that they appear on the screen: 1) Floating Social Bar Options, 2) Hide Social Bar? 3) Search Keywords, 4) Metadata by 5) Description 6) Keywords, 7) Title, 8) Speed Booster Pack (an installed plugin) 9) Preload Rules for this content 10) Critical CSS for this content (like from Jetpack), 11) Optimize JS for this content 12) Move JS to footer for this conetent 13) Document
When I do the same in Google Chrome, this is what I see, 1) Add Title 2) Type / to add a block 3) All the same stuff I see in Safari
IOW, both Title and content sections are completely missing from Safari.
If I collapse all the subsections (Floating Social Bar Options, Search Keywords, Metadata by, Speed Booster Pack, then Add Title and the content section are visible. If I then expand the sections, Add Title and document disappear once I’ve expanded any three of the four sections.
Obviously, I can work around this problem, but it’s almost certainly confusing some users on Macs, especially if they don’t have alternative browsers to test.
The column on the right, that contains Post, Block, and Preview, etc. remains visible at all times.
]]>Completely cocked up the theme but nevermind.
Then when pressing the Add Page link, it doesn’t load.
I deleted the whole site. All of the files and database.
I’ve put a clean install of the latest wordpress on there, with a new database name and got it back up and running.
There are no plug ins installed.
When I press the Add Page or Add Post, it doesn’t load the page.
What’s going on?
]]>I just tried add post and that got me to the blank screen also.
I am using 5.3, though it must update automatically because I did not do it–can that cause issues?
The last time I edited a post was around 28 November–I sent out a revised post in my newsletter function, so I edited on that day it within a few days before that.
My theme is Weaver Xtreme Version 4
