I have Customizr layout setup with latest posts summaries appearing on home page showing latest 10 postings. We love it! I also want to add a ‘Blog’ button/page to the menu that shows all categories and older posts. What is the most efficient way to have both of these? I dont need a plug in to achieve this do I?

I am new to WordPress and creating websites, I do not know much besides editing the text in my pages and a few other things that was shown to me. I was recently told that adding a Blog to my current site would be good for business and SEO. I need help on how to do this please. Is there a step by step guide for this at all? I am currently using WP3.5 and my Theme is Custom Community. My website is www.weclean.co.za I know how to add a new page etc, but I do not know how to add a blog page without messing up the current look of the website. Please respond in easy to understand terms… Thanks for any help that comes my way.

2 blog pages: changes in wp_config_php is not working

Hi, I added 2 instructions in the wp_config_php file following a solution given in the forum but I don’t see hoe=w it works. How can i set 2 blog pages following these changes:

/**
* WordPress Database Table prefix.
*
* You can have multiple installations in one database if you give each a unique
* prefix. Only numbers, letters, and underscores please!
*/
$table_prefix = ‘wp_’;
$table_prefix = ‘wpenglish_’;
$table_prefix = ‘wpspanish_’;

Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong or what I’m missing? Thanks.
…by the way i lost my work because it asked for an installation and i didn’t back up my website:((( so now there’s nothing and i have to start from zero but i want to resolve the issue of the 2 blog pages before i start all over againg thanks

I have set up a website. Now I want to convert a page I mistakenly set up as a static page into a blog page. I have tried to change it to a blog page in the “Reading” set up page, but when I select my “blog ” page it goes to a “404 error, gnarly dude” page.

How do I set up a blog page on my WP website?

What is this “404 error” page?

Hello,
I am somewhat new to using WordPress. I have a personal website hosted by Godaddy using WordPress. The site consists of the typical blog homepage, as well as additional static pages for info, contacts, pictures, etc. I am trying to change one of the pages (for my son)from a static page to a blog format type page but can’t find how to do that. So, I would like the main page to be maintained as a blog, with news and public type stuff for everyone to see. I would also like the “baby” page to use blog style content management but be a private, password protected page without redirecting to a second website. Hopefully this makes sense.
