I tried setting the results page to every page available within “settings” and tried every page template I (as well as creating custom page templates) and I cannot get the ‘results page’ to respond to any formatting change.
No matter which page or page template I output the results to it will completely disregard that page’s format and layout and replace it with no formatting or layout with the sidebar displaying left-aligned and underneath the footer (which is also unformatted).
Anyone else having these issues? Anyone have any ideas or helpful info? I really need this plugin for my business directory site but cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong.
P.S. I am using the theme “Vantage” by AppThemes: https://www.appthemes.com/themes/vantage/
My site is not up yet so I can’t provide a link, but I can send some snapshots of my issue if that helps.
Thanks!!

]]>The plugin works brilliantly apart from in how it displays the results page. In the column to the right there are the 5 default widgets (search, pages, archives, etc).
I set up my site so that these widgets don’t normally show (although I do normally have a couple of different widgets). I’m not sure why they’re present here. The formatting is also slightly off.
Is there a way to remove the added widgets? I tried making the results page so it takes up the full width of the page but then the widgets just go underneath the results.
Here‘s the link to the search results page. The theme is Stargazer.
Thank you

]]>I was wondering if there’s some clever way of displaying the query in the results.
Like maybe I could have 1 echo for the taxonomy query and 1 for a keyword query and then make a control flow to print whatever the situation necessitates. Like “Search results for “BLAHBLAHBLAH” of the taxonomy “Monkey Pants”.
But for the life of me I can’t figure out from where to grab this info. I am not a PHP narwahl yet. More of a PHP donkey working my way up.
Anyway if you could tell me how to query the strings I will write up a nifty control flow and even send that back to you if you like that kind of thing.
Thanks!
