Issues Accessing WordPress Dashboard

I am having an issue accessing my Dashboard page via https://johnswebsite.ddnsgeek.com/wp-admin/

Interestingly enough I can access all of the other pages of my site, such as:
https://johnswebsite.ddnsgeek.com/wp-admin/edit.php
https://johnswebsite.ddnsgeek.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php
https://johnswebsite.ddnsgeek.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

But when I go to https://johnswebsite.ddnsgeek.com/wp-admin/
I get the following message
This page isn’t workingjohnswebsite.ddnsgeek.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

When login in to wp-admin I get “You do not have sufficient permissions…”

I have a very old website I made for my husband in 2012. We have barely edited since then. We might have done an update 5 years ago. Today he tried to login to the backend to update it. The password worked ok, but gave this error message:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I have followed these instructions https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-an-admin-user-to-the-wordpress-database-via-mysql/ and created a new user. But I get exactly the same error message.

I have tried to deactivate plugins, but there is no ‘active_plugins’ option in the options table. Also when I tried to do this via FTP, when I tried to log in on my FTP client I got this message: “servers host key was not found in the cache. You have no guarantee that the server is the computer you think it is’ So I didn’t continue.

If I don’t have any plugins, what else could be causing this problem, and could the site be hacked? The content of the website seems exactly the same.

It was a very basic simple wordpress site, I don’t even think I used a custom theme, just the standard one at the time. We would like to redesign the site, but we fairly urgently need to change an address on it that is out of date.

Website Down due to Plugin

Hello,

My website as of a few days ago crashed. I think it is due to a faulty plugin. I want to go to my dashboard with the /wpadmin at the end of the url but that part of the website is also down. How would I access the dashboard to deactivate all plugins?

I am unable to access my dashboard.
I downloaded, installed, and activated the
Amazon Auto Links – Amazon Associates Affiliate Plugin and for some reason I can no longer access my dashboard. This issue occurred immediately after I activated the plugin on my site. I am in the middle of preparing for launch so this matter is a bit urgent as I need to complete the creation of my website.
I do not have access to activation url or key or codes or transaction ids because I can not access that information.

Hi, I can view my website www.davidcauson.com. But when I try to log in to update it etc and do this by typing in https://www.davidcauson.com/wp-admin/ it just comes up with a white screen and loads of code. Accesing the dashboard or Admin area

Using www.remarpro.com I have created the site https://money-socrates.com/jobs/ using the Socrates theme and Hostgator (as hosting).

I want to make changes but I cannot access the dashboard or my admin area, probably because I am out of my home and I am trying to access it from another computer and IP.

Please advise.

Hi, this is so basic, I am even embarrassed to ask… I installed MAMP and www.remarpro.com on my Apple PPC. It all went swimmingly, thanks to WPBeginner’s tutorials! But now, the next day, I can’t figure out how to get back to my WordPress Dashboard. When I enter the local path to wordpress, it takes me to the customer-facing blog page and I don’t see where I can actually log in with my username/password. I don’t see an .app file for wordpress either, just .php’s. Please help!
