]]>I’m terribly sorry for posting this, I know there have been other people creating threads about this error but I haven’t managed to solve the problem from those threads.
I’m trying to translate a WordPress theme called “WorkScout”, from English to Swedish.
When I’m for an example trying to translate the text “jobtitle, keywords or company name” to “jobbtitel, nyckelord eller f?retagsnamn”, I am getting an error message telling me “Error: Not Acceptable when trying to translate”
I’ve read that some people have solved this problem by disabling ModSecurity, and eventhough I’ve done this I’m still getting the same error message when trying to translate.
Do you know of any other possible fixes to this problem?
I would appreciate help tremendously, if you would be able to.

So I have been working on my website for a month (www.papertradelinks.com) and the past couple of weeks I haven’t had any problems since last week when my website started showing the 406 Not Acceptable Error. This error, and the server not responding error (either one of them came, Its really occasional) always showed up everytime I tried to login to wp-admin or my own website. Not only that, all my devices on my home network face the same problem. The problem is temporarily resolved after restarting my router after 10 minutes and clearing cache, and I can login to wp-admin again, but even the slightest modifications I try to make to my website make the server unresponsive again and the website and wp-admin stop loading again, and I have to restart the router again to make it work.
So I thought it was a problem with my URL or network, but after trying to edit my website (wp-admin) from a different IP (my friends computer) I faced the same problem of 406 and server not responding. Restarting my friends router also made it work temporarily, and it was the same story all over again, that too from a different IP!
I also tried to access my wp-admin and website from proxies, and they were able to access, but again after I tried to edit anything in my wp-admin through those proxies, even the proxies showed server stopped responding and 406 Not acceptable!
By now, even my cpanel shows server stopped responding.
So I looked up about it online and found about the .htaccess file. I tried to find this file in my directory and couldn’t find anything like it (I checked the show hidden files), so I created a htaccess file and pasted this into it:

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>
I couldn’t name it .htaccess and upload it while its hidden so I renamed it in the File Manager in cpanel to .htaccess.
Still nothing seems to work. Please help!
I’ve checked my FTP for this and it seems fine.
I have also reported this to the instantfreesite forums too incase it is nothing to do with wp

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/post-new.php could not be found on this server.I have tried uploading a fresh copy of post-new.php but that didn’t work. Does anyone else have any suggestions as to how I could get the bookmarklet to function?
]]>Up to this point I’ve had little reason to complain and what I did complain about turned out to be my error. This new issue may be as well. 
When I went to Options >> Discussion to add someone to the comment blacklist (first time needed!) I found myself receiving the following error message when I hit “Save”.
“Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/options.php could not be found on this server.”
I also get the same error when attempting changes in the “Writing” Options. All other appear to work.
I’ve made no changes to databases or such. Upgrades to the last few versions have been done manually with no issue. Everything else seems to run just fine.
Any ideas?

this is the first time i came across this kind of error and so i cut and pasted my post line by line to see if it would work. To my surprise, i narrowed it down to this line:
You will realise that its quite a squeeze when you insert into an adaptor.
Then i narrowed it down further to single words
and found that its the conbination of words “insert into” thats the problem.
Has anyone come across this same error?

I have looked into my htaccess file, but there is nothing different there than yesterday. I checked in my C-Panel (WP is not installed with C-Panel) error log. And i get “[Wed Nov 16 01:31:09 2005] [error] [client **.***.***.***] File does not exist: /home/matblogg/public_html/archives/2005/10/”
I don’t know what to do. I searched the forum. But nothing that helped me in this matter.
