No Sidebar “About” section widget from WordPress? Twenty Sixteen Theme

I am trying to add an “About” section on the sidebar. I’m using the Twenty Sixteen theme. I have added other widgets (Categories) successfully but was unable to find an “About” widget or anything like it. When I tried to create one with “Paragraph” widget, I was unable to change the fonts to match my site and seemed to have very little control in general.

Haven’t been able to find the answer anywhere. I’ve avoided using the HTML solution because I don’t want to mess with the code too much. WordPress makes widget control much harder than it should be…

Cannot add Employee Description

Good morning! I’m using the default/built in “Employee” section of wordpress to track our employees, log their qualifications, etc. We use these employee sections to have a small blurb about the teacher on the page linked to this post. You can see several examples on the page.

However, for Joy Bryant under “Elementary,” wordpress will not save any descriptions that I make for her. Anything I write in the “Employee position” or “about employee” box simply disappears after hitting update. It’s allowed for a picture to be added and her name/title, but that’s all.

Anything else I try and update, the page spins for several minutes showing that it’s processing, and I’m then returned a wordpress error. The error is HTTP ERROR 500. I’ve tried using simple html, plaintext, etc, nothing will save.

Any recommendations? I’ve tried using a different device, clearing browsing history/cache, etc., all to no avail.

Menu Not Showing Everything

When I’m on the desktop version of my website, it shows ‘about’ and ‘contact’ in the top right corner of my homepage, but on the phone version, it just shows ‘about’, or just ‘contact’ in the drop-down Menu, depending which order I put them in in the Appearance—>Menus

Super frustrating- how can I fix this so that it shows both ‘about’ and ‘contact’ in the drop-down Menu on the phone version of my home page?

The team gallery on the about us page is fed by /team/, but the last member of the team doesn’t show up there.

Being able to insert text above the photos on the team “page” would also be a solution, but can’t seem to do that either.

Hey there!

I’m trying to use Forminator to set up registration for my continuing education program. I’ve copied the shortcode and have added it to my website, but when you click on the link it takes you to a black page. The message reading in the address bar reads “about:blank#blocked”
Any ideas about what’s causing this to happen?

About Page Bug

My About page on my Dashboard is different than the About page that’s showing up when I visit my site (even from an incognito window). It shows my old text (Michael instead of Ryan, which I changed it to), as well as in a weird format. Why won’t my about page update? I’ve pushed update and publish many times

In the ABOUT widget in the sidebar:

I can not upload any image when I click on the upload button. I tried to delete the widget and create it again and it won’t work. The text can be updated fine though.

I worked ok at the very beginning when I chose the theme and started to work on it a couple weeks ago.

Remove Forced Links In Dashboard Menu

Your plugin forces About Links into the Dashboard Section Menu I believe using the Welcome.php file.
I do not display this option in my WordPress Admin areas as I have a custom Dashboard & Menu and your plugin is forcing it to display.
How can we remove this forced display of the About Simple Calendar Menu?
This is the link (/index.php?page=simple-calendar_about)
I realize if I edit the welcome.php it will most likely remove it and any updates will overwrite.
Please confirm which sections to edit?
