I’ve been using Zakra Authorie for around 4 years. It’s a lovely, clean theme that presents my novels and writing blog in a great setting that’s easy to navigate and provides a host of useful features. Never had a problem with it in all that time, until I came to apply the most recent update. But the fault was mine, not theirs, and their friendly (and rapid!) support team came to my aid within the hour. I was up and running again right away. Top marks to everyone at Zakra!

Works great with Elementor. Stable and reliable, very customizable. When I take over an existing site, I almost always re-theme it using Zakra because I know it will work and I can make it look like whatever I want without having to hack the theme.
Support is great, always available and actually helpful.

I paid quite a lot of money for a lifetime license, trusting I could try it out for 14 days and get a refund in case it was not working well for me.
Their policy says “we’ll be happy to provide a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase. No Questions Asked!”
Sure enough, I was not super happy and requested a refund within the 14 days after purchase in unmistakable terms.
Refund was never issued. All I received were messages with a million questions, why I did not like what I bought.

The constant changes in the code drastically alter the appearance of the website, requiring frequent adjustments to the child theme, incurring additional costs if you want to maintain your style. The constant and non-functional changes break the site no matter how much effort you put into it.

I discovered this theme a few days ago, and the free version is really good. It has a lot of capabilities for implementing a very functional website.
So I can recommend the corrections mobile menu with auto close/ auto hide when the user tap the menu with anchor point or another side the screen. Also the functionality to put the menu in different positions.

A fantastic and simple template. No issues so far after several years of use. All automatic updates went smoothly. Highly recomendable.

We have used this theme across a number of different websites over the last couple of years. The support for this latest update has been utterly terrible. The update breaks the design stripping elements that came with the original theme, changing random pages from a full width to a default (sidebar – although no side bar) layout, changing fonts, styling, spacing, backgrounds, block widths, font colours, background images and so on. I raised this issue over 3 weeks ago having to wind back sites and servers. The support responses are inadequate, do not address the issues and appear to be deliberately evasive and non-responsive. I strongly recommend not updating to the latest version of this theme and I highly recommend not using this theme until there is a stable version. I can see many others are also experiencing these issues. To fix all the issues generated with this update will take hours and hours.
