I have tried creating a child theme using the WP Mint Magazine. Unfortunately, some styles do not get imported (i.e., font and link colors). Are there additional steps needed to ensure to make a child theme?

there is a bug in first style, when decrse the size of browser the last item
in this style disapare totaly.

1) how do I add an excerpt
2) how do I remove the author tag

I want to change the excerpt’s length(number of caracters) in Top page.
I can do it the category page by WP setting, but how to do it in this theme original setting?
