I am using the Wordsmith Anvil and and cannot use the Customizer for widgets or menus because the customize.php is mostly blank. Is there a fix for this?

Hello,
I am using WordPress 3.7 and the Wordsmith Anvil theme for shapesofgravity.com. On my home page and others, the query entry line in the “Search” box beneath the side menu is shifted up to nearly meet the top border of the box. Only the lower portion of the magnifying glass is visible. Please help.
Thank you for a great theme!
David
I’m having an issue where the length of category drop down menus are effecting the spacing of the parent category menus on the top bar. Or maybe there’s a coded limit on the amount of categories allowed in this top menu and its including the submenus. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

]]>Wordsmith-Anvil was updated to Version 2.1 and approved by the WordPress Repository on 10-06-2011. However, for some yet unknown reason the version available for download is 1.6.8; which, was the older version from four months ago. The new version is much better, has several more options, some bug fixes and is the version you should be using. Most likely the erroneous version on the WordPress Repository will be corrected soon. However, in the interim, you can download the current version from the Wordsmith-Anvil Theme Site Downloads Page.
Hopefully, this information helps those of you wanting to download this theme.

When a server upgrades from PHP 4 to a newer version, the allow_url_fopen is set to OFF, which is responsible for disallowing include files to use absolute file paths. This is a new security feature, and this is done by design. Theme and plugin developers will have to make fixes to their code if they want to be standards compliant.

I emailed back and forth with the theme author a few months ago, and he seemed disinterested in fixing this.
]]>An update is available for users who downloaded version 1.6.6 of this theme and received the error message: Warning: argument 1 for anvil_title_display_w_logo() or Warning: Missing argument 1 for anvil_title_display_no_logo(). The errors have been fixed and those fixes are included in version 1.6.7, which, is not yet available from the WordPress Respository. In the interim, the updated version can be downloaded at Toms Skyline Design. It is a .zip file. So, once you download it, you simply upload it from the Install Theme tab on your Theme Admin Menu. Select upload as the option. Then activate the new version. Even if you have already setup your top and side menu, you will still need to quickly go the Menu options and re-save those menus.
