WikiWP theme did not load as shown in demo, and I cannot customize it like any of the examples shown at bottom of page below –

Could that be because it’s not compatible with WordPress 6.0?
It appears that WikiWP was created 2017.
Will downgrading to earlier version of WordPress fix issues?
If so, which version of WordPress?

I created 3 posts to experiment with the theme.
Logo image does not load upper left in left sidebar..
There is no way to delete searchbar in left sidebar, or move it up or down.

There is no way to create blocks of text or block headers with color backgrounds as seen on Wikipedia home page – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

There is no way to create 2 column text like under References at Wikipedia, or to add a column on right like seen on topic page here – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanitis

Anybody know a simple method, plugin, or css, for hiding the post content on category pages? I’d like any given category page to show the titles of the posts only, without showing a preview of the content.

I am hoping this is an easy fix, but ALL of my image CAPTIONS do not display correctly, they use the same fontsize/style as Paragraph text and align left.

Is there any way to change this so it looks like it does in the Editor window (smaller and central).

wikiwp theme update???

This theme is so perfect for me. I am trying hard to make it work. I’ve deactivated and deleted every possible add-on looking for conflicts.

There are two problems:

1. NAVIGATION PANEL: On initial load the navigation panel is overwritten by what appears to be a page load
2. SITE IDENTITY: The site title and tag line appear in the navigation panel instead of the main page
2. TOGGLE BUTTON: The navigation panel toggle button is missing.

Basically, the entire header for the main pages is missing

NEITHER OF THESE PROBLEMS MANIFEST WHEN USING THE CUSTOMIZE SCREEN

After creating and activating the child theme the layout is completely messed up.

Why doesn’t the page title appear in the browser as it does in demo?

I get my url in the browser. Why?

The theme is only installed and enabled, not modified.

Unable to share a link because this is local on my computer.

My customizations child theme don’t reliably display. This is both internal and externally changes don’t show up. I thought perhaps an old copy of style was cached either on the server in my browser. Tried deleting all themes then installing just 2017 then reinstalling WikiWP and my customized versio of your child theme sample.

Hi. I’m trying to list (recent) posts by an order other than the default published date. I’ve tried countless plug-ins offering “order by” options, such as by title, or by modification date, but they make no difference, and posts always appear in their default order. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

On smaller screens the icon at the top of the dark navigation sidebar obscures widget title and part of the widget. See here. Please can you offer some advice?

I see that, depending on the size of the screen, the logo is either in the middle of the screen, or on top of the navigation bar. Where is this behavior encoded?

I would like to do the following (both):

– Decide myself the threshold for the screen dimension
– Use a different image for mobile

and then either one of these two:
– Enlarge the maximum dimensions of the logo
– Make the site description appear right of the logo (instead of under) for mobile

I’m not asking for detailed instructions (of course they would be welcome though). I have a child theme and I’ve customized some options already. But with the logo I really don’t know where to start, I’m a noob, and I can’t find the lines responsible for this.

As default your menu (navigation) has the following title shown in your WikiWP theme: Pages

How do i remove this title?

It is a part of <span class=”menu-title”>Pages</span>

It seems to me, that I cannot do this when customizing the theme under > Widgets > Navigation nor under > Menus

Responsive menu has stopped working even after disabling all plugins. Not sure why. Does anyone please have an idea what it may be. Or maybe let me know which direction to go. Or short instructions of how to setup menu correctly so I can check if it’s correct.

I am working on my small wiki site, I like your team a lot, so I switched from the paid theme to your theme. However, I am facing the problem as see in the images. The theme is broken with I added the table in the Page, and Front-end editor. I am using WIKI Pro from WPMUDEV website.

At first I thought that it is the plugin it that has issue, but when I tried with all the default theme come with WordPress, they are working fine. At this point the plugin only has issue with your theme. I am willing to donate to support you if you help me overcome this issue.

Hello, I want to use WikiWP to create a single page website that emulates Wikipedia. I want to hide the left hand menu, or remove it. I have reduced it to a minimum because I have no other pages to link to apart from the static home page. Right now the menu displays as

Pages
The Message
Categories
Uncategorized

I also want to remove the horizontal slider at the bottom lhs of the page.

Love the theme, and I’m going to use it, thought I have some questions:

1. How do you remove “Related posts” from right sidebar?
2. How do you remove “Related posts” underneath the article?
3. How do you remove “Last posts” underneath the article?
4. IS there an option to have the right sidebar not shown?
5. Can you manually edit an Author’s page or create an author’s page? There’s no room for even a small bio, which I prefer so people know who the author is.
6. How do you create a table of contents? (I see it in your Demo Post on WIkiwp.com but can’t find a way to make it.)
7. How do you edit the content in the left sidebar above ‘Navigation’? Would like a custom menu rather than having no control over it.
8. IS there an option to remove “Powered by the..”? A fee to be paid or? I would like other information to be displayed there later.

I would like to extend the content of my pages/posts to the whole width of the screen if I am not using the sidebar (on the right). Which options in wiki.css should I adjust to fill the content to 100% of the screen?
