I don’t want the “Home” post in the bottom bar of the whispy theme. I would rather have it as a post which allows more flexability. How do I get rid of it. If I go to “All Posts” then select the Home post then trash it, the contents of the post goes away but not the “Home” button. Any ideas?? Calendar, Recent posts and Archive show up in the left and right columns (3 columns layout) despite not enabling them !!!!

I have been using Whispy because I want the three columns–actually since I started with WP a year ago, I chose it as it was exactly the layout I wanted. However, there is one obstacle that is driving me nuts. It only shows the first 5 posts of 20 and the others are totally unaccessible–even do not show on the recent posts in right column. And they are not in the order I want them–they show first one first… I want last one first. Then I figured out to change the dates… Vioia–it worked–but only for Reason one–when I redated Reason two and tree… they did not show up at all. Also I would like some space between posts…. A WP developer worked on that one for 30 minutes–and gave up. I have tried at least a dozen other themes but they do not take my format well… I am so frustrated… the forest service is going to destroy 300,000 trees and I can’t even get my blog to work. I put last post as a page so it will be seen…

With this Whispy theme the style.css is first loaded followed by CSS files of all the plugins. For example :

I need style.CSS to be loaded last because I want to apply some global styles that override my plugins.

This didn’t used to happen with other themes, or older versions of wordpress.

Is there a way to remove this from posts:

Can someone advise me on how to move the tagline to just above the header image?

Whispy Theme v1.5.4
When I choose custom color for background, it doesnt reflect the change on older links but just the new unclicked links and if I change the color again, it will not chnage in the link that I just clicked but only refreshes in new linked pages on website.

Here is my website https://www.spicysideup.com and as you can see, different pages have different colors.

Any help on how to fix this will be helpful, I have 9 plugins installed and have tried deactivating them one by one and almost all of them at once – that doesnt fix it, I have changed the theme to something else and also completely deleted the theme and reinstalled but that doesnt make any difference.

I have edited style.css to make my site in total 1100 px wide in stead of 940. In all sections I have succeeded except in the header image. I tried to edit header.php, but it didn’t work. The image I am using is precisely 1100px wide and 198 high. The height is not the problem, but the widt is.

Please can anyone help me? I also tried everything in de resolved thread about header image info, but that wasn’t enough.

The 3 column option isn’t working on my blog https://blog.sublimedesigners.com/. Let me explain why it works on the home page, but not on the post/static pages please advise on how to fix this problem.

Also the alignment of the widgets on the left sidebar are right 1. either left aligned and not centered or 2. there isn’t enough space to match the right sidebar.

Things in the right sidebar are pretty proportional being centered and having white space on the left and right of the right sidebar.

I want the left sidebar to look identical to the right sidebar with having white space on both the left and right side of the left sidebar and with the items in it being centered.

Please advise on how to fix these two problems.

I also downloaded this theme on 3/13/2013 and installed it so it’s a new download with the latest updates to make that clear.

I cant get the 3 columns to work. I want to show widgets on the left side too. I drag a few widgets in the the “Primary Left Widget Area”, and select “Whispy Options : 3 columns for Post Layout and Post Index page layout”. But doing those two things doesnt seem to work.

Is there anything else that needs to be done?

When I click on a post title on the home page of a blog, a page with no content comes up.

In single.php we have

get_template_part( 'loop', 'index' );

I changed index to single to get it to work again. Should this be

get_template_part( 'loop', 'single' );

I have a problem with the three columns template in Whispy 1.5.
Three columns template doesn’t work on the homepage. Template works only on the additoinal pages. How to get main page in three columns?
When I apply Appearance/Whispy optoins there is the error:

Hi, first of all great theme, thanks very much!

I would like to change the width of the content area on the pages.
It is now 640px, I would like to change it to 800px.
That would make the total width 1100px instead of 940px and that includes also the header images.

Which file(s) should I edit? Can you give me hint?
