The Home page is a static page. The Blog is our News tab.

The content for the front page has three sections at present, a current event, a wishing people well during this crisis, and rows of button links to our partners.

Everything looks fine, but when you scroll past the last section everything starts over again. So there are two copies of everything. It is most strange.

The content is not present on the Page to delete when I look at “Text” in the editing window.

Most perplexed. Please help me sort this out. I originally posted this query on the Fixing WordPress Forum. The suggestion was made that I post the query here.

I don’t know if this is a problem with WordPress, the theme I use (Weaver II), multiple browsers, or my OS (Linux Mint). Fonts on my site display about half the size they should.

Open up any page on my site using Chrome or Firefox, right-click on a content paragraph and select “Inspect (Element)”. The computed font size shows just under 16 pts, which is supposed to see what I see, but on screen it appears as 8 pts. (I compared it to the same text shown in a word-processor on the same system).

I don’t have control of the default content font size in CSS. No matter what size I use (whether points or percentage), it’s ignored. So I can’t compensate by doubling the font size.

My browser font size is set to Medium (Chrome) and 16 pts (Firefox). Changing the browser font size makes no difference, but that is probably due to the CSS.

If you go to my site, does it appear the same way to you? Why?

(This also seems to be true of some other sites I visit.)

Hi, newbie to this forum.

Since the auto upgrade to 5.3 I’ve had no end of problems. Constant errors every time I upload an image and when I try to post anything. It’s been horrendous!

But I’ll get onto them in another thread later. Right now my pressing issue is I’m unable to amand my site header image. I select the image I wish to use, but when presing the “Select and Crop” button, absolutely nothing happens. The image is usually visible for editing purposes but it’s completely blank. This may be related to the issue I have uploading new images as the same thing happens.

Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere but I cannot see it. I have a screenshot but can’t see how to upload it.

I’m upgrading someone’s site and trying to fix some styling complaints. One error that I’m seeing in the browser console is for a missing file: /wp-content/themes/weaver-ii/main.css

This file is NOT in the weaver II theme – is it generated through one of the settings?

I know that I should upgrade to the new Weaver EXTREME but I can’t do that until I figure out how to capture the styles for the site.

I am sure this is answered somewhere, but have not been able to find it.

I would like to widen the content area for my site(s). Most use Weaver. Here is my site:

As you can see, I was able to widen the header area, but not the content area.

Any help? And, is there something available, similar to the old dreamweaver properties, where I can make the width of the site responsive to whatever screen it is viewed on? I don’t mean on iphones or ipads; I mean, on computer screens. Is there something that would make it adjust automatically? I sort of hate the wasted space on both sides.

my blog’s comments stopped working.
standard settings were “email and username required”, people entered the name, email and site, and the comment, pressed “submit comment” and got either error message, or page does not exist, or just a blank page.

I unchecked the “email required”, now if users comment totally anonymously or indicate just the name, comment is published.

If a user submits an email (even though not required), it shows the mistake/blank page again.

Is this a theme-related problem? how can i fix it?

When I go to Weaver II Admin – Save/Restore Tab – and click “Download – All current settings to file weaver-ii-backup-settings.w2b on your computer,” I get a 403 Permission Denied screen. Any ideas as to how I can download the w2b file to my desktop so I can convert to Weaver Xtreme? Thanks!

I recently added a new header and background color to the website. I clicked publish and it updated the entire website on the dashboard. However, I can’t get it to update on the web. Just the home page is updated on the web. The subsequent pages do not show the new header or the new background color.
I am using the sub theme ivory. The new background color is green, with the ivory highlights.

Selecting the “Hide Sidebars when this post displayed on Single Post page” option expands the content to fill the page, but the sidebar is still displayed below the content section, it is just displaced downward.

I’m not sure if it happened with the recent WordPress 4.2.1 upgrade but it is affecting a large number of posts on our UnderwoodCommunity.org site. I use posts as pages on the site to enable a many-to-many relationship between facilities and uses. If the visitor scrolls down the post it results in a very unprofessional look.

This appears to be a bug since it happens regardless of the post configuration.

Instead of the usual option to select ‘live view’ or text input to posts or pages for some reason I have no option only text input.

Is there some way to enable the dual functionality as if there is I cant find it?

Or a way to restore the functionality which has never been there, if you see what I mean.

Hi everyone.

We’ve just noticed that when you go to the blog page of our site (https://www.love-yourself-naturally.com/articles/) and click on a post link, it takes you to a page where there is just an excerpt of the post instead of the single post page.

In the “post specifics” area of the settings, we’ve got the blog page set as 3 columns of excerpted posts. And when you click one of the posts, the page looks like the blog page but with just one excerpted post.

We’ve tried changing the number of columns and removing the excerpts, and this fixes the single post page… but also changes the blog page layout.

We have been making a few updates to the site recently, but just with regard to colours, fonts, images, etc. So no idea what’s going on.

Any ideas? All thoughts welcome.

To answer a question asked in a different forum (when I was told to post here), yes the theme does still have its template file single.php.

I have 2.1.12 set to the mobile responsive stack sidebars. I think it looks fine on a narrow screen setting. But Googlebot does not agree. it keeps saying

Not mobile-friendly
Page appears not mobile-friendly
Content wider than screen
Links too close together

This page may appear not mobile-friendly because the robots.txt file may block Googlebot from loading some of the page’s resources. Learn how to unblock resources for Googlebot.

While I like Weaver II theme a lot, it may be easier to find a theme Googlebot likes than spend a lot of time figuring out how to unblock whatever resources the Botman thinks it needs to render the page.

I have a text widget in the right sidebar. I changed the text and it showed up when I viewed the site, but reverts back to old text.

I love using Weaver II and I would like to put my logo above the header where the site title and tag line is. Is this possible?

I tried to write in the forum but have a hard time navigating it. Not sure if it went thru.

I now use weaver 2 and was waiting for weaver extreme to be down loadable from WP.org.

Do you know when it will be available here?

Because there have been no updates for a while, is the theme presently in danger?

My problem in that I am hooked on WEAVER.

I would really like to go pro.

But My comfort level would be when the theme is completed and here on WP.org. But I do worry about the weaver 2 without updates. I am not techy and would like this to be seamless.

Hi, I’m currently using version 2.1.4 I’m having a problem with the theme constantly resetting itself to the small mobile format, when going to a link. This means that if somebody is referred to a page remotely, their first view of that page will be the mobile format. And when they click the full size button, the theme will reset the link to the home page, losing the link, which in some cases they won’t be able to find on the site very easily.

I would like to have the option of the mobile device but why does Weaver always reset to the mobile format, then out of the blue revert to mobile while I’m editing a new post after 4 or 5 updates?

I’m pretty new to WP, advanced beginner probably. I am working with this theme and cannot figure out why I am seeing this issue:

I have a website https://www.thechurchofholyapostles.org where the mobile version is not updating with the rest of the site. Specifically the sidebar, I posted a widget with the times of mass at this church, however the old times show up in the mobile version.

I have tried deactivating all plugin’s, and not sure what else to do… any suggestions?

I am using weaver II but it shows hyphen after site name in browser tab. I contacted wordpress they said it is due to the filter which weaver is using so only makers can help. Plz tell how to remove hyphen after site name in browser tab?

Currently setting up a training website. Different Authors are contributing to content that is placed on a Page not on Posts

I’m using Weaver II theme

I like the way the Author gets displayed on the bottom of Posts. I would like the same functionality for Pages.

Secondly after the above, I would like to setup a page that gets generated on the fly similar to the page type of Site-Map is generated, but listing Author names so a student can just click on the name of an author and see all of his/her content.

Third, if the above 2 can be accomplished, possibly add the author listing to the bottom of the Site-map page.

Thank you in advance, I know I’m kind of asking for 3 items, but they are all related and in order of priority.

I have a podcast feed on another site which has a blog, but no search. It would be nice if I could search the main site and get results from the podcast feed, too. Is there any way to have an additional feed searched using the default search form?

For the past several months I have been getting the below error message (many times) in my error_log file. It all seems to deal with a NextGen issue AND a Weaver II issue. I have used the latest updates for NextGen as well as WP. Really would like to get this issue fixed. PLEASE help!

I’m using Weaver theme and would like to make the items on the top navigation bar more central on the screen. As you can see here – https://www.love-yourself-naturally.com/ – the menu is off to the left. Is there any way I can change this?

I am using Weaver II 2.1.12 with the cyclone slider. Only one of the menu items have a drop down and when i add a shadow to the menu the drop-down menu hides behind the slider.

Is there anything that could resolve this?

I just noticed something weird and very embarassing: My E-Mails are not being obfuscated, on quite a few sites using Weaver. Some plugins do work, like “WP Mailto Links” and “Email Address Encoder”; but many others do not, in particular “Email Obfuscator”, “Obfuscate E-mail” and “PHPEnkoder”. With the latter, simply nothing from the appears on the pages, the E-Mails are not protected!

At first I thought this must be a bug with incompatible plugins, but it remained when I switched them all off. Then I tried with two other themes (2014 and Tatami) and there the obfuscators do work. So it really seems to be a problem with Weaver.

Can you help? Ta!

Thanks so much for this wonderful theme! I appreciate your keeping it up-to-date and for the most part it looks great in my i-Phone.

The only problem is that the right column with my widgets, including the search form disappears when I look at it in my iPhone. Is there a way to make the right column go down underneath the page as some other themes do? I don’t mind putting code in a child theme if I need to, but I don’t know how. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Also, I have no idea what it looks like in tablets and other phones. Is there a way to check that without actually having each type of tablet/pad and phone?
