How can I make more of my post content visible in excerpt mode?

My site was working perfect a day ago and then now my right sidebar has completely disappeared.

I did not change any code. I’ve only been publishing blog post. So this is a bit frustrating. The side bar is full of information, so I would really like to have it back.

Can anyone assist in retrieving my right sidebar again?

I’m having a little problem with my featured images. They don’t seem to be full size. As you can see there’s a difference in size between the images featured on the homepage vs on the post page. One example:

As you can see the image on the homepage is smaller than the one in the post. Already tried to delete the ‘featured image’ in WordPress but the result is still the same.

Is there a trick in Vortex to make the featured image full size?

I would like to have the categories on top, instead of the side. How can I do that?

I’m working on the menu bar of my website. I cannot seem to figure out in the style sheet where to change the typeface used in the menu bar.

I was also trying to figure out how to centre up the entire menu bar under the logo. From what I can gather, this may be fairly complicated, so no worries if there isn’t an easy answer to this one.

I am of course using a child theme and only editing it, not the main Vortex theme.

I went on my website a couple days ago and realized that when I click on the About me page and Privacy Policy page, the content areas on the pages are blank. I refreshed a couple times and it is still empty. The home page, other pages and posts all seem fine.

I emailed my website host for help, they said: “It looks like the [plugin] code/script used inside those pages and the theme are not compatible or causing conflicts”

I don’t get it because the pages were fine before. My website host said: “this can be compatibility with version updates or any recent change like adding or updating any plugins.You can try disabling any plugins you have added or contact theme support/forum.”

I don’t think it was any plugins so I am now here. Really need help!

I am using wp4 with vortex and I am trying to use header image size 940×100 instead of the normal 940×200, i looks too thick for my website. However when I upload the 940×100 image, i was asked to crop it shorter and was not able to display the full length of the image. It did say that the suggested image size is 940×200 but i thought its only a suggestion…..

Any ideas, thanks in advance.

I have install vortex theme but It resized automaticaly the entry-featured-image on the main page which is link to the post and I don’t want to.

It cut the border and I can’t see the texte as you can see in the second post…

Hi there,

The breadcrumb is not showing up, although it says it is ‘built in’ the theme. Of which I assume no code has to be adjusted or placed somewhere.

I do see them on the menu, but not as a seperate thing below the menu/header. Which is quite regular I suppose.

For this theme (but not for others I’m using on other sites), the Add Media and Links buttons in the post editor have stopped working with the upgrade to WP 4.0. The button “clicks”, but nothing happens.

Can someone help me with extending the overall width of the sidebar to 300px. I have completed many searches on this subject and have been unable to find any resources to explain this. I played around with the code a bit but I am not entirely familiar with CSS. Can this be done? My website is https://www.brandonmarshphoto.com/blog as you can see the ads are slightly cut off so I am assuming it is just under 300px.

I cannot get a featured post to show no matter what I do. I am on a Mac. Images in the post itself work great, but I cannot get an image to show as featured. Tips? My web blog designer is on a PC and she can use it fine. But I can’t, as I’m on a Mac.

How can I remove the following from underneath my post title?

* Black line

All I want to have under the post title is the date and my name as author of the post without any commas and black line.

I would like to change the font within the headings of my side bar. The problem is that they are within the widgets and I don’t know how to do that. I don’t want to change the font within the rest of my blog, just the headings on the side: “ABOUT”, “INSTAGRAM”, “CATEGORIES”, “RECENT POSTS”, etc. That part. Do I try and enter the CSS code within the widgets or is there a way to do it within the CSS Stylesheet Editor that will not change the font within the body of my blog?

Please I hope you can assist. I am getting errors in the hatom-entry section for Google Structure Data. some info shows some does not. I have read all the forums and quick fixes for this issue. However the code for Vortex is a bit different and I can’t seem to resolve this issue. I really love the Vortex theme and would like to fix this. Can you assist please?

I’m outputting my header image at the dimensions specified (little or no cropping necessary). I’ve output it a bunch of different times as either a png or jpeg from both Photoshop and Illustrator (at 72 dpi, with raster effects also at 72 dpi).

While I recognize the difficulties in getting a serif font to look good in lo rez outputs from either of these programs, I am able to get the png versions to a point where they’re at least acceptable, but when I upload them as the Vorex header, further compression appears to happen so that the text in particular looks like dreck.

I’ve had better luck in the past with paid themes from Themeforest, but am wondering if this problem inherent to Vortex, WordPress or both?

Can anyone help me here? It’s not the end of the world if I have to install a different theme, but want to find out as much as I can before doing this.

I am not sure if this has been resolved before. I am new to www.remarpro.com and though I absolutely love your theme, I am having trouble with the h1 tag. I want to place it for each post title. My website is spillovercoffee.com

Does the theme automatically assign h1 on each title (e.g FRUGAL LIVING TIPS TO STRETCH THAT BUDGET)or do I have to put it manually when editing the text of the post itself?

Hi everyone, trying to find out how to display more than one Post Thumbnail (Featured Image) instead of just one. To better understand what I am saying, here is a link to a reference website. There you will see multiple post thumbnails.

So, based on what I’m seeing in the code, I believe I am doing this correctly. I go into the editor, select the CSS from this theme (in this case, named style.css), and have tried to change all of the light blue/aqua color to a red based color scheme. I found the correct hex code for the color on the site, however, when I changed the values to the colors I want, it only changes the colors in the dashboard! I can’t figure out why it isn’t altering the colors on the site. The hex for the aqua colors seems to be #00a498 and #008c8c. Any advice on what I’m doing incorrectly?

Whenever I have a portfolio featured image i have to resize the image, otherwise it seems to focus on the center of the image which is undesirable. Once the featured image is resized, however, it is smaller than the other featured images and left of center.

How can i center the resized featured image?

Hi,

my sidebar isn’t showing up whenever you click on a post to read. I would like it to show, but I cannot figure out how. There is a <?php get_sidebar(); ?> in my single.php file. However if I bring it to the top of the file, it first shows my sidebar in the center column, and then under that my post. It doesn’t show in the right column.

How can I fix this?
