With the last theme update, the page header images are no longer visible on every page. Set Featured image is not working.

Hi, I apologize that my question is so elementary. I want to use a child theme to override some of the css settings. I have set up, I think, correctly – the css file for the child theme does load in the page, but is overridden by the theme’s main css page. How do I reorder these, to respect the child styles?

How can i fix it?

I’ve set up a child theme in ving which handles style.css perfectly well. However, quite a bit of your styling is handled by main.css. The problem is that styles.css loads before these – not afterward – so any changes I make to header size, font colour etc in style.css is overridden by main.css. Other than manually editing main.css, how can I get ving to prioritise style.css ?

Hi! I finally have the website in a layout i like. However, in making these adjustments, I seem to have lost the correct allignment for smaller screens. Now when i shrink the size of the screen, the elements overlap. Can you please help me with the alignment adjustments? Please???

Hello. Beautiful theme!

I was wondering if it is possible to keep the featured image for “Recent Posts” on the front page, but to remove them from the posts themselves.

For example:

Either of the two recent posts have a featured image, but there is no need to have the image repeated inside the post itself. Is it possible to have this removed?

Hi,

I just purchased Ving Plus from the developer website, and downloaded and installed the theme successfully. However, as soon as I try to Activate it or use the Live Preview, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_shop() in/home/ [I’ve removed my server and user name from the url here] wp-content/themes/ving-plus/functions.php on line 356

So far I’ve not created any child themes or modified anything, this is straight from the theme as installed. ?? Ving worked perfectly when I was trying it out earlier, but as soon as I purchased and installed the premium version this error occurred. I technically don’t need the WooCommerce element of the theme, so if any possible fixes involve turning it off that’s not a problem. At the moment I’ve reverted to the regular Ving theme with my child modifications, so providing my site url probably won’t help. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Is there a way to either add a fourth featured post or limit it to only 2?

Or if not, is there a way to center the 3rd one?
On a PC web browser the third one is aligned left and looks weird.

I have been working on the Ving CSS files for the last our but i can’t find a way to remove the sidebar completely and stretch the main content on a page.

Where in the CSS should i look?

Any simple way to add a logo? I was opening up a div with the image but that dosen’t work it seems.

I cannot find how to move the title to the leaft in the header. The title goes on the lady bird, I would like to move it so it wont overlap.

Hi – i can’t seem to remove the big header image from the pages i want it removed on. Can you please help?

After installing and activating Ving as a new theme for my site, only an empty page is shown on the frontend.
However, after logging in to the backend, the frontend reappears. Logging off results in frontend disappearing again.

I tried that with several other themes without changing anything but the theme: no problem!

I am using php5.6. Would love to change to Ving, can anybody help?

Although I have selected “hide” header text in the customization menu for “site identity,” the header text continues to display on the site once I have saved and exited Customize.

I was also wondering if there is a way to change the color of the footer links:
“Proudly powered by WordPress | Theme Ving by Divot Singh”

And, finally, if there is a way to remove the diagonal stripes on the Primary Menu?
