I have created my first blog post. The problems is that the preview chops off the featured image. I would rather skip the preview completely, and just have the full post show when the page opens, but I can’t figure out where in the CSS to change it. So I have two questions…

1) how to remove the preview completely and go straight to the post on the page

and/or

2) how to change the size of the featured image box to allow for larger/different sized images.

So in the readme file, it mentions first that the suggested photo dimensions for the slider is 950×460. Then later, it says it’s 960×450. Which one is it?

Regardless, the photos I’m using are much larger in dimensions, but they still appear to be stretched and blurry in both the slider and the featured image in the posts section. Is there a way around this? Am I doing something wrong? I tried changing the dimensions to match the suggested sizes (960×450) but it still appears low-res.

My mobile menu seems to have disappeared with the most recent update.

The name of each page shows up as a page title. How do I remove this?
In another theme I worked with it was an option in “customize” to remove them.

I am trying to change two things on my website https://www.conquerthecoreny.com

1. I need to change the footer background color from #212327 to #17376e. I cannot figure out what .css file the footer.nav is in.

2. I would love to split the body into two different colored rows, instead of just one with the bright green. Is there a way to change that?

On a side note, if the .css file in question is not style.css, how can you determine which file should be changed?

Dear All,

we were really fascinated with the university theme when we first saw it and decided to build our website with the theme.

Our developers did a good design with the theme. The problem now is that the website is just too slow. It takes ages to load and if it finally loads and you click on a link say ‘view universities’, it takes several minutes to display. But if you click on a link to another site from the home page it takes just seconds to connect, which means something is wrong somewhere with the theme or our site.

Our site is hosted on a VPS pro – Linux server. We are using wordpress version 4.2 and you can see the site at https://www.nuguide.org.

Does anyone know what we can do to make the site or theme work faster, please?

why do i see strange symbols in the left hand corner of every page of my website? I deactivated all of my plugins.

I have a static home page and the menu bar instead of having a solid line border like the other pages has a left and right arrow underneath which appears when I hover over them. I want to remove them and just have the plain bottom border.

In the Themes directory, University is shown with what appears to be 3 columns under the main picture. How do I get that to happen? Thanks

How to change slidercontainer and slideimage size? I want to add to the bottom shadow. Slideimage must be 960x325px and shadow is 20px high. Of course, everything must be responsive and work correctly.
I have a problem:
1. Images are not in aspect ratio. They are abnormally enlarged and deformed.
2. Slider is abnormal height of 480px. It’s not a defined anywhere.

Hello, I love this theme but I can’t figure out how to modify the effects/fades of the slider. I just want images to slide from left to right.

Also I attempted to change the caption on the images that slide by, went under screen options, chose custom fields and entered slidecaption with and without quotes – neither way did it change the caption. Is there something I missed?

Hi, I would like to know how to remove the sliding menu which is set by default to my front page. I’d like to make it gone and make it look like all the other pages. Hello all!

I would like to change the height of the Main menu navigation bar. How would I do that? I couldn’t find the padding for this in the css.

I was also considering removing the curve on the menu and deleting the transparent shadow background as well, but this is all new to me, so any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Centering content – removing right sidebar for the University Theme

Hello, I would like to remove the right sidebar to eliminate the empty space on my pages. Is there an easy way to remove the “right sidebar” on the pages of the “University Theme” so that the pages content will be more centered though still left justified? Thanks
