Awesome theme. Less is more. Works great and stable across the board with WP 6.5 and now 6.6. I cannot express how pleased I am with the roll-out of Full Site Editing, blocks and Gutenberg. TT4 lean mean and subtle, hence, it brings out your content and not itself. TT4 is your best friend listening. Transition from TT3 was a flick of a switch. I trust that transition to the next TT5 or 6 will be just as smooth. With TT4 you are guaranteed to benefit from the latest of core WP, as FSE is the clear path WP is on. Here it will not go wrong. TT4 is like home or the iPhone or a homephone. With TT4 you will not need to undo things when moving to next theme.

I do understand the benefit of no-code but this is too much. There are still so many advantages to use functions.php and css file in child theme. At least leave a option to switch into the legacy theme editor.

Hi. He fulfills his task. Using the “Full Site Editing” (FSE) function, I managed to easily create a look that, I think I can safely say, suits me. I am happy with it. Thanks ??

Lots of patterns to add and modify.

After a bit of a learning curve, Twenty Twenty-Four has enough features out of the box to create a legit, but simple sites. In my experience, this is first Automatic theme robust enough to build a marketing site.
I’m still learning and finding features, but it did nearly everything I needed with the full site editor and some added CSS.

Its a big waste of time. To much bugs and problems. The badest wp theme ever!

This theme and its template and patterns site editor is a waste of time. Poorly constructed, there is little or no documentation. Global styles are hopeless, attempting to override in CSS only breaks other parts of a template or pattern. There is no hierarchy of classes, instead, globally customisable blocks are assigned everywhere. Good luck trying to customise a responsive header. Try editing your footer and see how your new styles are propagated globally throughout the rest of the site. I am exasperated. I have worked in WordPress exclusively for the last 17 years and have loved the ability to customise in CSS. No longer. I don’t know what to do now, search for another framework? Go back to hand-crafting PHP websites? Confused, disappointed, let down.

The site editor is a real mess: it’s unclear what you have to edit and where to make the simplest change stick. When using the classic editor for even the simplest job, white spaces appear where you don’t want them. Font sizes disappear on the front end, and it’s a battle to discover where the setting is. Additional CSS only works occasionally to tweak the design – presumably overriden by the over-controlling CSS of the theme. To achieve both a desktop menu and a responsive menu, I have to edit both the “navigation” function in the site editor and the “menus” function under appearance (the latter to edit the menu created by the responsive menues plugin). And the patterns are also a mess- by default my images inserted using the block editor werere made a horrible orange monocolour – you have to fiddle with the settings to change that – why?
The end result looks OK but what a muddle it is to use it.
For heavens sake, Keep It Simple!

Visually it’s awesome. Just needed to take some extra time and learn the usability side of things, but once you understand it – it’s flawless. Thank you.

Sadly, you cannot customize a single thing!

A bit hard to use because I am used to old themes I think.

This is my favorite default theme in years.
With so many templates and patterns, I’m at least 80% confident that everyone will be able to get at least very close to what they want out-of-the-box.

Recently starting using Twenty Twenty-Four as part of my move towards a more core-based setup. Really glad I did. Full site editing has been a refreshing way to build websites and the possibilities of what you can achieve are almost identical to how I was building before. Very clean looking websites as a result, too.

It’s the first block theme I’ve used for production sites, and I’ve been impressed by the greater flexibility and degree of customisation I’ve been able to achieve with little effort compared to classic themes via the customiser.
Recently migrated 3 sites to use Twenty Twenty-Four. These sites used different classic themes (Astra, a Twenty Sixteen child theme and Fluida) and I had little trouble migrating all with existing or better functionality. Initially all were migrated replicating the previous look and feel, very easily. The only comments from users: sites faster and work better on mobiles.

I really like the design, which is why I decided to use this theme for my new website. I wasted the whole day today trying to personalize even the simplest things.

Nice fonts and shades but with some strange effects that are seemingly impossible to customise.

I’m using this as a starting point for my first theme using the new Site Editor. It demonstrates a lot without being too complex under the hood. Thank you.
PS. I agree with the reviewer who said the new editor is complex. I’ve made a living selling themes for the last decade and it has taken me a couple months to wrap my head around the UI. I would like to see a simplified design mode: a *single page* that lets “Mom and Pop” swap header/footer/homepage patterns and change fonts/colors without having to hunt all around for this and that.
Not that this has anything to do with this theme, just sharing my experience with the new editor.

I have been using WP for 15 years and so have had to deal with non-FSE themes for a long time.
Recently I have been evaluating FSE themes.
I think Twenty-Twenty-Four out of the box is fantastic:
I did a test on GTMetrix – this is with NO CDN and NO caching enabled and no effort made to fix any initial issues, ie this is out of the box, on cheap shared hosting:
Grade: A
Performance 100%
Structure 99%
Web Vitals:
LCP 487ms
TBT 0ms
CLS 0.01
Top issues: NO major ones, only 5 Low impact ones
I think this performance is very impressive!
The theme’s description says:
Twenty Twenty-Four is designed to be flexible, versatile and applicable to any website. Its collection of templates and patterns tailor to different needs, such as presenting a business, blogging and writing or showcasing work. A multitude of possibilities open up with just a few adjustments to color and typography.
I strongly agree. Congrats to the development community!

All that code to make a simple hero with a headline, a paragraph and a button!!
Same rubbish as we can find in Themeforest. Of course, the theme is completely useless as you must to use that joke called “Gutenberg”.
Automattic needs to find front-end developers as they cannot a simple HTML line without adding 200 classes and creating a HTML full of useless code that adss NOTHING to your website.
I would recommend to use old and classic themes made by professionals.

Bonjour, je ne trouve pas le champ : “Recherche” dans Twenty Twenty-Four où est-il, merci ?
]]>Rating: 1 star
Beautiful theme, but unfortunately they can only be modified by highly professional users
I don’t know why WordPress makers insist on forcing us to use the new editor in their default theme
This editor is incomprehensible, very complex, and not easy for the average user to use
I hope to provide an identical copy of it that can be edited with the classic template editor

Love it!

Thank you, beautiful WordPress people for this wonderful theme! One funny question, I’m used to themes with block patterns and don’t see any patterns here. Does this theme have patterns? If not, could you please provide a quality link to a tutorial so we can learn to add or make our own block patterns (I’ve been getting confused with some tutorials)? Thanks again.
