You can only select while editing a record. Don’t you think it’s not very convenient?
I want to create layouts and assign them. So as not to choose them all the time.

Shortcodes are not working if they belong to a pattern (template part type, or pattern type). They do work if they are just shortcode blocks in a post.
All plugins disabled. If I enable “Twenty Twenty Three” theme, they work.

Currently it inherits the styles associated to links. But I want it to be the same as the headings font. Tried many different methods, but no luck.

I did install Noto Sans from Google Fonts.
I changed the theme settings for text, headings etc.
Opera and Edge do show Noto in text and headings.
Firefox, Chrome, Brave don’t show the Noto font but a default sans serif font
– both in Desktop-Version and on mobile phone.
I cleared the browser-cache.
Because I did this the same way like in other WordPress instances of mine I have no clue what to change and would be glad about an idea : )

I was looking for information on how to properly add colors that are set using the theme.json, style variations json files, or user selected colors within the full site editor to the TinyMCE editor color palette.
I was trying to find a way to query/return these the hex colors created with any of these and dynamically apply them using the walkthrough here Override TinyMCE��s default colors in WordPress Classic Editor and Advanced Custom Fields WYSIWYG. So far, all of my searches have drawn up short.

I created a custom shortcode that I have been using on my site for a while now (code in functions.php, then use Shortcode block on template or page).
Now I wanted to move both this shortcode and an icon into a custom pattern in order to reuse this construction on a couple of templates. For some reason the shortcode is not rendered inside this pattern. It shows it verbatim “[back_button]” instead of rendering the button.
Is that a bug or a feature? Are shortcodes supposed to work in patterns at all?
(Just for clarity, since I use the German translation which is confusing: Using the term “pattern” I mean the purple-coloured thing.)

I��m using the Twenty Twenty-Four Theme for my ecommerce.
I��m trying to change the fonts of all elements of the website. I have installed fonts that were not in the list of fonts available. After installation, I have proceeded with changing the style settings but nothing happened. The website still shows the default font.
In particular, while making the changes in the style page, I could see some elements changing their font (for example the menu in the header) and some not (for example the text). Anyway, none of the elements for which the style was changed did change their font effectively.
What am I doing wrong?

]]>Using the 2024 theme and the Pages template, it became obvious that this template isn’t well adapted to Mobile devices. The contents block in this template is set to a screen width of 50% of the device screen, which is fine on a desktop, not so good on a tablet and just terrible on a mobile phone. Now yes, being somewhat experienced with CSS I can make the changes needed to handle that but surely your devs can come up with a way to enable users to do that without having to learn CSS? You know. borrow a trick from some other page builders where you can set different cut-off points for various devices? Either that or allow users to select a different, mobile friendly template in developing the website.
Of course, if there is a way to change the content width dynamically and dependent on the device I’d love to know. I’ve recently found nout that you can hide an element (sometimes) depending on the device, which is useful, so it shouldn’t be too hard to extend that to changing other items like width. It’s been possible to do this in Divi and Elementor for years.

And everything was great until I made a child theme… I created only a child theme folder and basic style.css, no other changes yet. And 2 things happened:

Is it possible with CSS to move the mobile menu hamburger to align to the left of the page instead of the center?
]]>I have set up page jumps from a referenced page back to my front page that was easy but i want to jump back to a specific header line. I have read wordpress/support/user-manual/pages/page-jumps/ but can’t get it to work in twenty-twenty four. When ever I try to change the HTML as described in the support manual it tells me that the HTML is bad. Before I read the mentioned manual I had tried <a id=”myplace”> </a> before and around the header record and after reading I tried <span id=”myplace”> </span> as the manual suggested but nothing works. Is there a way to jump back to a specific line?

]]>When in admin mode and editing site, I cannot see my home page. When I go to Pages, it has a Sample Page, but it’s not my home page. I can’t find it anywhere. However, when I go to DennisDavis.net, I see my page. After clicking on about every link I could, I went to Themes and clicked on “Customize” and my page came up and I could edit it. I believe that page should be accessible via the Pages link, or what am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

]]>How can I remove the Previous/Next option from Posts in the Twenty Twenty-Four theme. I’ve tried some CSS tips found on Google Search using:

But nothing works. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve tried placing this under customize.php and also on Site Edit->Styles->More Options->CSS What could I be doing wrong?
SUGGESTION: Perhaps a checkbox under Settings->Discussion might be nice to turn the Previous/Next off/on.
