my Wordfence just reported me that on 7-Mar-2024 three twenty-nineteen language files were automatically modified :

1)wp-content/languages/themes/twentynineteen-en_GB.po

2)wp-content/languages/themes/twentynineteen-en_GB.mo

3)wp-content/languages/themes/twentynineteen-en_GB.l10n.php

I have to mention that i have auto-updates turned to off.
First of all are these changes legit? Especially the /twentynineteen-en_GB.l10n.php bothers me but i really couldn’t see anything suspicious inside the contents of the file :

Secondly, how can these files be auto-updated since i have auto-updates turned to off?

For some reason, my blog posts are not separated anymore. They are all located on the same page. I don’t believe I changed anything, please let me know how to separate my blog posts.

and got this

i want to show only my content, for this i have removed header, post/page title by additional css, but still some space coming before main content. how can i remove or manage it. i am able to do it with twenty two theme blank template but its need to apply oen by one on all post/pages. i want remove it for site. thank you

The below snippet is in /js/touch-keyboard-navigation.js … when I first created my child theme in 2019, I customized div.site-branding in /template-parts/header/site-branding with a logo and to add a search field. All worked swimmingly since (or at least no one reported an issue??) … but last week I was told that the cursor didn’t “stay” in the search box, and they couldn’t type a search term.

After seemingly endless troubleshooting, I found that it was due to this little snippet. I looked in the theme repo and it seems like it’s always been there.

Any idea what the intent was? Any unintended consequences of removing it?

Hi, I’m using WordPress 6.0.2 with theme Twenty Nineteen, version 2.3. I’m just trying to create a home page. There are two attributes missing. If I do

Dashboard > Pages > Add New

then on the right side I see Page Attributes, and under it is just the
Order attribute with default value 0. Per the doc

there should also be Parent and Template. Why are they missing? What can I do about it?

The number of menu items on my page have been constantly growing. Now I have the following Issue:
If I expand for example the Menu ?Inner circle“ the last menu items are ?hidden behind“ the page content.
Is there a way to place the menu items always on top of the page content?
I tried changing the z-index for hours but could not fix it.

I’m an amateur web manager of small company.
I found that the gap between the menu bar and post title is too big; it takes almost one-third of the page.

I’d like to shorten this margin as much as possible. Is it any css code with that?

I built this site in the Twenty Nineteen theme a few months ago, and at first the site showed up fine when I plugged in https://theevolvingman.com. A couple of weeks ago something stopped working, and now when I visit https://theevolvingman.com I get a “Your connection is not private” error. Do you know what changed?

I would think it was an expired SSL certificate, but whatever SSL certificate I had wasn’t bought separately–when I built the site in Twenty Nineteen it automatically worked in https.

Hi, when I change theme the images inserted in the articles do not appear. Also because if I click on the articles in the home recent article the link does not find the article as well as the menu links and there is no succession of tabs 1 … 2. ..3 of the articles in the home

Using 5.8.1 with a basic Underscores theme:
when adding the cover block, it automatically adds a 50% opacity to anything put in there, and then the paragraph block goes white on white; removing the opacity default results in not being able to see where the paragraph block entry text is because the text is white and the background is white … how can I change/fix that so the paragraph block, at least, is always black text by default; I tried to change .editor-styles-wrapper in the css and style-editor.css, but it doesn’t seem to do anything

Hi!

I notice on my home page that Group blocks, Paragraph blocks, and Gallery blocks seem to all stop about 1/3rd from the right side of the page.

However, the Media & Text blocks seem to stop about 1/5 from the right side of the page, so they extend substantially farther.

How do I fix this so that all blocks have the same uniform width except (except for the full-width Cover block at the top)?

At the bottom of my client’s home page, I am seeing a message that appears to be an alert that people have replied to my page, and I can’t see a way to delete it. Any help? The text is above the footer and below a form and says:

2 replies on “What is Nantucket’s secret?”

Love to get rid of it.

Tags show at the bottom of posts on the wordpress.com version of Twenty-Nineteen, but not on my .org site that uses the same theme.

It’s possible that I’ve customised them out of sight, but they don’t show even if I switch off all customisation.

To clarify, Display tags is switched on in the contents options.

How to solve this? ‘Hoe werkt het’ and ‘Tips’ have a submenu that is visible in Chrome but not in Edge.

The user likes the way the top image appears on this page:

Hi, my site was working fine using the Twenty Nineteen theme and then it must have updated or something but now I don’t see any of the widgets on my homepage. I can still see them here: https://www.mitchelljoe.com/blog/category/uncategorized/ – it’s the Recent Posts, Archives, Subscribe, and Search, but they aren’t here on the homepage like they used to be: https://www.mitchelljoe.com/blog/

I updated to the latest version hoping that that would fix it but it didn’t.

Hi,

The background on my site is solid white. I would like the option to change the entire background to black, not just the footer or header. Additionally, I would also like the option to change the background to an image. Are either of these options possible? And if so, how do I do that?

Since the recent Chrome Update the featured image is aligned left and not center. Works in Firefox, Safari but not Chrome. See link to a demo installation here https://demo.wpwissen.com/twentynineteen/

If you shrink your browser windows the featured image is not centered anymore. Is this a bug in chrome or something that needs to be fixed in the theme?
