Remove date and comments on static page

Hello!
I’ve set a page as my static page, and I have not been able to figure out how to remove the published date at the top, or the section that calls for comments at the bottom.
I have not been able to locate the style page, for some reason

"Section" size differs incorrectly

The layout of the theme looks great on the archive, category, and single post. When you do a search or click on a tag, the layout of the section is off. It is narrower and smashes the photos (that is a technical description). I can’t tell where this is in the css or if it is somewhere else. Please help!

Tables not lining up

Any ideas why my tables aren’t lining up? They worked fine in my old theme. I installed a table app, but haven’t tried it yet, and would frankly rather just fix whatever’s causing the issue. How to change title font color.

I can’t figure out how to change the site title font for this theme. In the CSS, I have the following:

#site_title {
	color: #666;
	text-decoration: none;
	font-family: 'Meddon', 'Century Gothic', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, cursive;
	font-weight: 100;
	font-size: 1.75em;
	line-height: 1.75em;
	padding-top: 0;
}

I can change the font-size and line-height with this, but nothing happens if I change the color or font. Where can I make those changes with this theme? Any advice would be appreciated! My site is at: https://www.danjacobwallace.com

I just noticed that the dropdown menus (using wordpress custom menu) on my client’s site are appearing higher than they should and covering up the top level menu item in Firefox 13.0.1. It is fine in Safari and the dropdown appears below the top level menu item.

I know what it is, but for some reason you cannot insert an image into a post or page. You can upload fine, but when you click on the “insert into post” button – nothing happens.

At first I thought it was WordPress itself, maybe a bad install.
But I’ve re-installed and even done a fresh install, uploaded the theme – still the same.
It is a great pity because the layout and overall look of the theme is good.

No matter how good the theme, if I have to spend 20 minutes going through all the files and translate strings I will not rate it higher than 2/5.

Stop allowing these themes into the Directory until they add internationalization support!
