I run a child of the swift theme. I upgraded my system to PHP 7.0. The PHP compatibility checker plugin reports this error:
FILE: /var/www/wp-eehmke/wp-content/themes/swift/lib/admin/np-setup.php
11 | ERROR | Function split() is deprecated since PHP 5.3 and removed since PHP 7.0; use preg_split instead
When I replace the mentioned function call as suggested, the error is corrected.
]]>After Migrating the site from the original location and updating the database to reflect the new URL, the site no longer appears correctly. The header image is gone as is all the posts on the page and each page there after. IF the swift theme is removed we then have all the posts appearing without the formatting they would nomally carry.
Any suggestions?
]]>Is it possible to change the width of the non-sticky sidebar?
]]>I am trying to apply the custom CSS:
.rss-aggregator{
list-style-type: none;
list-style: none;
}
.feed-item{
list-style-type: none;
padding-bottom: 25px;
}
to remove the “bullets” from the LI tags. The padding-bottom instruction works, but the bullet points are still there.
My test site is pbdigest.com/test. I should mention that this problem doesn’t exist in other themes.
Any thoughts?

I am not able to change menu colors- Modern Nav menu (below logo) from Swift Design Options-> Colors options. It shows all blank/white fields irrespective of the colors I select.
Which css (and where) I can change to change the menu colors?
Also I want to change the font size of headers- H1, H2, H3. The size does not change irrespective of selecting custom font in Design Options->Font Options->h1,h2,h3… tags

]]>Hi all,
I’m running the free/basic swift theme and noticed that the ALT tags for images on the homepage are not being displayed properly. For example, I have an ALT attribute for an airplane photo set to alt=”airplane” and also title=”airplane”. However, when I hover over the photo, the browser (both Chrome, FireFox, have not tried IE) shows a popup displaying the title of the post, NOT the image alt despite having the alt set to “airplane”.
Is this a known issue and can anyone else replicate the same issue?
Thanks for any help/assistance.
]]>i have a wide ‘gap’ between where the post shows and the sidebar, on my main index page. it’s basically where one can add ads like adsense, etc. i do not use this section but it shows up as a wide blank space.
does anyone know where i can make adjustments for this? to lessen or remove this section of empty space?
this only happens on main page. if you click on any post to read rest of post contents the post width is normal.
thanx in advance,
alx
Hi,
I wish to use a left sidebar in the blog page but the blog does not appear to respond to template changes.
I can see the correct sidebar (left) for other pages but not the blog.
The blog page is not my home page. If I disable blog for that page then the sidebar shows correctly, with blog no side bar. Is it hardcoded in somewhere??
Any ideas are welcome as if I cannot get this to work I’m going to use another theme.
Thank you

]]>Popular Posts widget not displaying thumbnails correctly on homepage (default thumbnails are shown, not featured image thumbnails) However, the thumbnails are correctly shown on the singe post view. Seems to be a bug with this version 5.73
Has there been a fix?
]]>None of my side bar (widgets) are showing up – I disabled all the plugins – and still nothing shows.
Thanks for any help – this is very frustrating – I am really good with WP – and CSS and I just can’t figure this out.
