This theme isn’t bad, but I sure don’t like nag messages that won’t go away unless I do something. You would have gotten a better review if you’d asked nicely and at least had your nag message go away for at least a little while before popping back up to remind me.

…if it didn’t have an admin notice on EVERY SINGLE ADMIN PAGE demanding a “positive review” on www.remarpro.com. Dismissing these notices does nothing, you are stuck with them permanently unless you want to go into the code and remove them yourself. In case anyone else is getting annoyed by these, this PHP snippet will help:

Excellent, simple, effective, eye popping, not bogged down with every feature that could be crammed in. And the author is Hawaiian or from Hawaii, or just loves Hawaii. Gotta 5 star that.

The theme displays nagging messages in the admin section that come back on every admin page, begging for a review, a like on facebook and another one trying to get you on an e-mail list.
It would be acceptable if those messages showed in the relevant theme page exclusively but not all over the place. Bad practice.

I can’t speak to the full version but I used the free version for a simple website years ago and the theme is still updated and the site works just as well as it did originally if not better, with no real maintenance on my end. Attractive features and stuff. Hopefully the full version opens up a lot more customization options.

Hats off to Organic Themes and the Swell Lite theme. It’s an awesome responsive theme and they’ve even been kind enough to always respond to me on Twitter when I had a quick question about support.
The organic customizer is a great feature and makes editing the page more seamless. Kudos to this company.

I love the Swell Lite theme! Besides being beautiful and relatively simple, it is absolutely perfect for my needs.
Of course after installing it, I found I wanted to tweak it a little. I found answers to most of my questions on the WordPress forum, but also from the old support page on the Organic Themes website (https://organicthemes.com/).
It was there that I found Rebecca, the superlative support person for Organic Themes and Swell Lite. I was very impressed with her quick response time when I emailed a question. (Because I am using the free version of the theme, I wasn’t sure I’d even hear back from anyone!) Rebecca’s expertise with this theme’s code is immediately apparent. Her help and suggestions are concise, to the point and very clear. It is a real joy to find a tech support person who is willing to go the extra mile to help. What an asset she is!
So now I happily have two websites running child themes of Swell Lite. Thank you for this wonderful responsive theme and your excellent support!

I love this theme but…
I had a question about whether it is possible to change the link colors… I have since discovered this is a feature of the premium version, but the point is no-one replied to my question – it has been over a month now and it is still unanswered.
The support for the free version seems to have been withdrawn completely.
So this is really only a ‘free’ theme if you use it ‘as is’ or if you have enough programming know-how to make any required changes yourself.
It also shows the full posts on the posts page and I’m wanting to change it to show summaries (changing it in settings> reading doesn’t work). So I’m on my own now trying to figure out how to do that… or just switch themes.
This is a site I am creating for a friend so it isn’t worth it to me to pay $69 a year for support – better to switch to another theme (except now my friend has fallen in love with this one – well it IS beautiful)!
…if it is your main theme for your main website, and your happy to pay $69 each year for support then it is a very beautiful theme.
