The home page opens at top but other pages do not.

Is Superhero v1.4 compatible with WordPress v4.8.2?

Hello, the theme works well in responsive on mobile but there is a small problem when you narrow the browser window on a computer. The top of the page is hidden under the master-head. By putting the menu in position: fixed in 600px resolution, I solved a bit the problem but I do not wish to have a fixed menu on mobiles. What can I do ?

I am trying out this theme.

I wondered if it was possible to have the logo and nav menu on the same line.

I had 7 items side by side and took 2 away. I still had to code to get the menu to stay on one line. But then you see, the logo becomes smallish.

If I code too much, then it doesn’t look so well on mobile.

I’ve used this code to get the menu on one line:
.main-navigation {
width: 60%;
}

#masthead hgroup {
width: 10%;
}

I saw under the Customizer also and still the Featured Content doesn’t appear to me.

The version of my Superhero Theme is 1.4. Might that be the problem? If so, there’s no update button.

I like the design of your web theme (superhero). I did some modification on the theme. In the footer it has “Proudly powered by WordPress: Theme: Superhero WordPress.com”. Can I remove all of the wording or remove “Theme:Superhero WordPress.com”? Thank you for your response.

Please what is the ideal recommended picture size to use for the Background Image? Tried out several and it doesn’t fit perfectly -except with the use of an additional plugin. Since this is already an in-built WP Customizer feature, I’d rather avoid using a plugin for such a minor fix.

I broke my cardinal rule about not updating themes, but I don’t know if the update had anything to do with my problem, or if I caused it some other way.

May we know what was altered in the recent update of the theme?

I’ve recently lost my sub-menu items (instead of the UL expanding down, just an empty 1/3rd height bar of colour… no text, no additional LIs. I can mouse over and click the bar and be taken to the location of the first sub-menu item.

So… any chance the update broke it, or (more likely) did I?

I had a Superhero Theme blog on wp.com and just migrated to wp.org. Gulp. I downloaded Superhero again, but on wp.org it did not give me the two color theme variations that it originally allowed me to choose from on .com.
I REALLY liked my original blog look on .com. Is there any way to recapture the same colors that came as one of two standard options before? I had previously selected the brown/red theme.
Also, I really DON’T like the yellow/blue theme that is in the side bar boxes and want to change those, if possible.

Hi, I added a pop-over email script to my header.php and it works fine on a desktop computer. Problem is that it doesn’t seem to load on the mobile version. Does anyone know where I might put that script to get it to load in mobile?

i have had the fuetured Content Slider on my page. I use 960×500 px for the images.

I would like to have all that smaller?
Maybe 500x250px.

If i change the imagesize its stays big only stretched on 960×500

I’m trying to add the slider of the theme on my home page but it doesn’t work. They ask me to add a “Featured Content” that it will work but even if I do it, the slider still doesn’t work.

I have the Vagabond theme that comes already with a slider.

Recently a note below my contact form appeared (after I upgraded to Superhero 4.1) that states:

You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””> <b>

cite=””> <cite> <del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong> </strong></em>

This appears just before the “post comment button….. I would prefer that it not be there….how do I remove it from all pages?

I am using the Superhero theme with wordpress 3.9.3. I am not the person who created the site but I am now tasked with maintenance. The navigation is fine on the desktop site but on mobile, one of my links is missing. When I go to the appearance, menu area, I am not seeing where my navigation is being pulled from. Where should I be able to find the actual navigation setup?

Is it possible to put a big picture on top like the Superhero screen grab? I don’t care about a slider, I just want to put a big picture like the one in the advertised Superhero theme.

I do not have “Featured” anything under Customize. I do not want Jetpack.

Where do you change the font in the theme? Edited style.css in the theme, for the line that says body {font-family …………….}, but it has no response to the site.

first of all thank you for the perfect WordPress theme for my needs, I really love Superhero. I’d just like to change a few minor things, but as I am just learning all about HTML, HTML5, CSS and CSS3 I need a little help. (BTW: If someone is interested: There are great free tutorials on w3schools.com that even include editable previews so you can fool around with the code yourself and see what happens.)

My questions are:
– Can I have the navi links below the header image instead of to the right of it?
– Can I have an english flag that links to the English version of my website in the top navi (to the right of the other Navigation links)?
– How can I get rid of the yellow underlines under each sidebar item?
– Can I put the larrivee images that link to an external site in the footer instead of the sidebar?

I am trying to create a slider using the Featured Content Section instructions here:- https://wordpress.com/themes/superhero/

However, the section in step 5 (Appearance → Customize → Featured Content.) does not exist so I cannot add the tag.

Any help will be appreciated.

I’m having trouble getting the Featured slider feature to work on the French side of my WPML site. I’ve tried tagging the French posts with “Featured”, and I’ve tried to add a tag on the French side that is recognized as a translation of “Featured”.

I’m wondering if anyone has had any experience with this who could help me out.

Is there any common code available that can be used in the main theme or preferably in a child theme, so that a menu can function in a similar way to the privacy you get within the “pages widget”.
I can use the widget but

Everything works fine apart from the theme leaving about 20px from the top.

Is there a way to set the featured posts to show in the recent post feed on my main page ?

I want my home page to show my posts chronological ,
Even my featured posts.
