Hi

Is there a way to remove the search box from the top of this theme at all? It’s a lovely theme, but I do prefer a search box with other elements where people will find them.

You have been very patient but I have another question.

I made some adjustments to the css for the blog and need to do the same for a block that will hold articles and special pages. It has to be in a reusable block so I can use the same laout over and over. (Or will that just work out when I make changes to the stylesheet?)

Also, the sidebar will have to be different than the blog sidebar because of the different information each will hold.

How do I configure the landing page so that it contains one image that fills the whole frame with the frame. The site title, tagline and menu set so that the text color can be changed depending on the image. I am trying to put two or three article or blog titles there also that could be linked to the article.

Where do I choose a drop-down menu for navigation?

What CSS code will hide the menu on mobile usage?

Hi, Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ve tried editing the image, changing the alignment, and sorted through the CSS using the inspector. I can’t seem to get rid of that thin white line along the left border of the screen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

My writing tips and prompts page is my splash template. It’s what you click on to enter the site. I used to have a widget with newsletter signup, but I removed it. Unfortunately, the writing tips and prompts, which is the blog, won’t view a full screen. The post shows on half of it and I can’t figure out the problem.

These are the last few things, I swear!

I’m having issues with my signup showing up on my Writing Tips and Prompts Page – https://baerbookspress.com/?page_id=3638. I have it set for Page Right Sidebar like the others, but it’s not appearing.

The second issue is my page names. You’ll notice they all have page_id numbers and not page names, example: https://baerbookspress.com/?page_id=3649. I checked the Quick Edit for this page and it has a title and slug. I can’t see what other area I could go to change it. The permalink doesn’t allow for editing.

Hello,

I’m setting up my site and ran into a problem. I want the splash screen button to appear with this color: #aa1e0f. I changed it under Customer – Colors – Splash Page Button, but it won’t change.

I also was wondering about the blog, which points to my Writing Tips and Prompts https://baerbookspress.com/?page_id=3638. The picture doesn’t show with the extract. Is there a way for it to appear? Along with the posts, is there a place where instead of the excerpt having just elipsis, it would show a button to read more?

I tried, but it doesn’t seem to work with this theme.

Also, is there any way to have different backgrounds for different pages? I want to have images as the background for two of the pages and just the regular background for all others.

I just changed my website theme to Storytime (free), but am unable to get the front splash page. I uploaded the header image but it doesn’t show up either in the preview or after the page is published.

I know I’m doing something wrong. What am I doing wrong?

Due to version 1.0.5 of Storytime and the new feature we added relating to the splash page and front page if you had your blog there, we found out this caused some unforeseen layout issues for many sites.

To fix this, we decided to upload version 1.0.6 that reverts this theme back to what it was in v1.0.4 until we can correctly implement the changes and new options with additional testing.

I have several blogs and I am looking to replace the Twenty Seventeen theme that I use on them. I found Storytime and think it’s a beautiful theme but it doesn’t allow a featured image on the homepage when the blog option is selected in the Homepage Settings.

Storytime does allow a featured image (a splash page) for the static page option but I want my latest blog entries on the homepage. So, two questions:

? Any chance you are going to modify the theme so that I can add a featured image to the blog option?

? Any chance you’re going to modify the theme and add a scrollable section for blog posts beneath the featured image on the static page option?

I was using mailchimp and google analytics before with a different theme. Ever since I switched to this theme, nothing wants to connect. Mailchimp does not know why this is happening and has tried to help but have failed. I noticed my google analytics not working this week.

I have posted the codes in the header.php file like instructed. I do not know what else to do and I really enjoy the look of this theme.

When selecting “Page Right Sidebar” as template, the right sidebar is shown as you view the page, but when going into “customerizer” any widgets added to that template do not show up. You have to add widgets to “blog-sidebar” then set visibility to show on page “about”. I haven’t tested the “page left sidebar” yet to see if the same problem exists.

I notice that none of the pages have the administrators edit link when viewing (like the single post template has). I am unable to figure out how to add it. Also I would like to enter a link on the blog sidebar before the widgeted section only my files don’t include a blog-sidebar although it appears and is called by the template. On what files can I make these changes.

Hi, I’ve been trying to change the font color of the main navigation menu, but I cannot find an option to do so anywhere. I’ve also been trying to change the hover color but am having the same issue. Is it possible to do either of these things? I messed around with some CSS, but nothing seemed to work. The site is currently under construction, so I can’t send you a link, sorry.

I’m creating a basic photo gallery site using your theme. I needs to be as “clean” as possible and therefore I’m looking to remove the search functionality. I already tried the “Disable search” plugin and various CSS scripts to remove it; but no luck as of yet.

Can you tell me how to remove the search function from the theme?

A related article on my website is scheduled to publish 15 minutes after my YouTube video is published. The published article shows only the YouTube URL. The YouTube embed appears properly in the editor. If I switch the template from Storytime Child or Storytime to Twenty Nineteen, the YouTube embed appears normally.

Deleting the YouTube embed block in the editor, saving the article, and adding it again doesn’t change anything. The YouTube embed shows properly in the editor but not in the published article.

The workaround is to publish a new article immediately for the embed to appear normally (see link below).

Storytime v1.0.2 template is missing the display custom header code in header.php to display the header image.

The workaround for my website was to create a child theme, copy the header.php file from storytime, remove the existing code for “site-branding”, and paste in the display custom header code from the WordPress developer website.

The images on my pages are not centering even though I set them to. Relevant pages:
