Hi,

I am using a child theme of Squarex Lite which I developed myself. I have changed the settings of the header to take all the screen minus the navigation menu on top.

However, the header image size is too small for the size of the screens I am going to display this on –?I would like the featured image to be 1920px wide.

I tried copying the thumbnail function from the parent theme’s functions.php to the functions.php in my child theme but it doesn’t seem to be working as the header image is still only 1400px wide.

Could you please help me change that?

I am really happy with this theme. I think it might actually be THE ONE.
But there is one big thing that I need to modify and I do not know how.

The site will be basically a portfolio to display my images. But I would love it if the content (text and images) could be scrolled horizontally and not vertically. That is, if instead of a vertical scrollbar, a horizontal scrollbar could appear to scroll the images horizontally, one next to the other (while the menu stays fixed at the top). Someone told me I should include a div and change the width of something… Could someone tell me exactly what it is that I have to write in the code in order to remove the vertical scroll bar or/and make a horizontal scrollbar appear?

I would be very grateful if someone could!

I`m new with WordPress! I have two questions regarding the menu.

1) I have customized the color of the hover, as well as the color of the background of the selected item on the menu. But then these changes wont appear in the site. I cannot solve that and dont know why is that, then Id like to make those changes manually in the code. How could I do that? I think it has to do with .main-navigation, .current-new-item background, etc. But then Im afraid to touch something it is not. It`s not the color of the font what I want to change or the color of the menu background in general (white), but the color of the background when an item is selected or I hover over it. I want it to be always white (or, since the background of the page is white, no color), whereas now is either black or gray.

2) Would it be possible to reduce the space between the categories on the menu?

If someone could answer, especially 1), I`d really appreciate it!

I can’t get rid of the ‘date posted’ & ‘written by’ tags on the website. I have tried multiple plugins and editing the CSS. It only appears on my shop pages. Can someone help me this is frustrating as it looks unprofessional on my store.

I’m planning to release a big update for this theme. Squarex will be refactored, although the design concept and minimalistic square style will remain. If you have any wishes related theme features, please leave them here.

I only want to display social media icons on my main menu, right below the logo.
So far it works fine on web display, but on mobile display there is a hamburger icon you need to hit before being able to click on the icon, and this is obviously useless here. Is there any way I can disable this mobile menu, without touching to the responsiveness of the website?

A serious issue has happened with my Squarex theme. My featured images are not loading to the correct image size as they seem distorted. When I looked at other posts the images are not loading within the blog posts are not loading at all.

I have download the theme and it’s great.
However, I would like to disabled the header ONLY when reading posts:
for example, I have to set a featured image on every post otherwise, image is not showing in the main page, see here:

However, when I want to read a post, example here:
https://arianor.net/sapphire-blue-sea/
There is this annoying header distorting the picture, when the picture in the post is very small below.
How can I disabled this header please?
If I deleted the featured image, the images of the post are not showing in the main page, so how can I get rid of the header while keeping the main page with all the images?

I have been running the SquareX theme for a couple of weeks now and love it. I have had on-going problems with my previous theme (Hamilton/Minimalist) so jumped ship to SquareX.

I have only one reservation about the theme. When the cursor hovers over the blog posts on the landing page the opacity of the white while hovering is too great, I would like to lower it. At the same time while viewing in the mobile mode the black opacity is too high resulting in the images being too dark.

Any help in regards to changing this would be a great help. Thanks in advance,
