I love this theme, and now that I’ve found it, I won’t change …

I’m aware of that there aren’t any widgets ‘n stuff, but my question is: Is there any way one could work around, and somehow put in a Subscribe! link?

I’m somewhat technically challenged, so I wouldn’t even dream of where to begin.

I really like this theme and I appreciate that you have placed it up here for all of us to enjoy.

I am trying to edit the comment form to not show the website url textbox and I have tried many things but they are not working.

One thing I did try was to change it with css and doing so made the entire comment form vanish from IE but it was all 100% the way I wanted it on Firefox.

I have tried using the functions and comment php files in the templates folder and still no success.

Please direct me to where I place this and also what do I exactly put there.

I really do not want to have to redo anything (edit core files) because when I update WP they will all go away and I will have to do this all over again.

I love this theme, it’s exactly what I needed! I’ve been recently adding new pages and now my menu is a bit too big. The last few page links disappear off the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to make the text in the menu smaller? Or maybe to collapse/expand subpages?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, I really don’t know much about CSS!

Hello, I’m using the Split Me theme on my personal weblog (in Dutch) at https://www.webwings.nl/ However the background (padding) of an image in a post is always the colour #EBE4D5, how can I change this? Maybe in a custom CSS, but how is the class called?

I would like to remove OR, if nothing else, change the name of the “by Author” at the bottom of each post. Is this easily accomplished without have to “code”?

Simple question: How can I add a small block of text to the front/home page? Since there are no widgets possible, I haven’t been able to find any plug-in that can do this. I’m just a WP beginner, and not sure how this homepage works; it’s clearly not an actual WP Page that may be edited…

Help on this would be so very much appreciated – thank you.

Is there a way to remove the “By Author” line on Pages? I’ve tried a bunch of CSS methods and even adding functions: nothing seems to work. Most themes I have used do not include the byline on Pages, just on Posts.

I’m just installing your theme and have noticed that the Post Title Color changes when you customize it for the main page/feed, but remains the default when you visit an individual post page. You should use the same css class for them both. For now I will create a child theme, but this should be easy enough for you to fix as well in your next release. Thanks!

I would like to make some css customizations that I won’t lose from an update. Your css structure is not what I’m accustomed to. Do you have a procedure for making a child theme?

Hi! I’m enjoying the theme so far. I’m trying to change the font colors but the changes I’m making don’t seem to be setting in. I’m probably missing something obvious.

Also, do you have recommendations for a header image size that works best for both mobile & large screen displays? Right now the menu seems to be truncated on smaller screens.

Actually, there is a php error if you update the theme. I forgot to add a if( isset… ) for the theme options.

Meanwhile, you should go to the Theme Options (Appearance > Split Me Options) and click on Save Changes one time. This will populate your database and remove the error.

I will fix this on the next theme update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I am kind of struggling with Soundcloud embedding options.
I have no problem including a <iframe> from soundcloud in a post, the player displays well INSIDE a post, but does NOT show in the main page.
Is this possible with your theme?

I would love to have this option to be able to play the tracks staight from the home page.

There is an issue with PHP 5.3 and earlier.
I’ll work on it.

The error message is something like this: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/husky/meowkitty.com/wp-content/themes/split-me/inc/custom-header.php on line 20.

The line is this one: wp_get_attachment_image_src( get_post_thumbnail_id( $post->ID ), 'large' )[0] :

I should find a fix to the [0] part of the code.
