Hi,
I am seeing that my images are showing up twice. I’m NOT using featured image and wanted to keep the image in the post as it works with the copy. Is there some CSS code I can enter that will only show ONE image when people are looking at my post listing? (I think I’d prefer the non-captioned image but whichever’s easier is fine)

Hi all. I’m running the latest version of SmartAdapt (free).

On my phone, the mobile dropdown menu appears, and I can scroll through the list of pages in the menu, but if I click on one, the menu doesn’t actually take me to the new page.

This is the case in my child theme. I also live-previewed the parent theme and have the same issue at tablet and phone size in the preview.

I created a new child theme and live-previewed it, and I’ve run into the same issue. No matter what, the dropdown menu doesn’t work.

I’ve tried deactivating all my plugins to see if they were a factor and they weren’t.

It does appear as though the issue is with the parent.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

I love the theme, but now the entire posts are showing instead of just the summary.

I can’t find any setting (other than the normal one under “reading” in WordPress settings, and it’s already set to show summary.

My comments on my website and on admin site under comment section gone missing after update…How to retrieve them back! Please help!

For some reason I’ve been unable to use “Post Name” permalinks for the last couple of WP updates/versions. They used to work but now I get “too many redirects” if I enable the cleaner post name option. Strangely, other pages on the site seem to work but not the home page. The .htaccess file has the mod rewrite code, which I assume is why the other pages work. But unless I resort to Plain permalinks (i.e. domain.com/?p=123) the home page won’t load. Any suggestions?

I migrated my blog to https, and changed every content to https too.
The only mixed content warnings I still get are google fonts imports that are done via http. But I can’t find where i can change these to https.
Can anyone give me a tip?

I have amended a document and after reloading it as a media file no hyperlink has been embedded. I am not sure I am using the right terminology here, but basically there is no option to click on the link and open the document.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

How to I remove the top right search feature? The one on the right of the top nav bar.

I only see a search.php file in the themes plugin folder and tried renaming it but no go.

Hi I am using SmartAdapt theme. I managed to shorthen the blog post on the home page to just the snippet using the_excerpt. However, it now shows […] without any hyperlink.

I would like to change […] to hyperlinked “continue reading ->”.

Where and how I change it please?

Trying to figure out a weird glitch using the Smart Adapt theme in WP 4.3.1 — at the bottom of a page, where it lists Related Posts, I get two stray bullets (unordered list) on the left of the related posts, and two stray numbers (ordered list, 1 and 2) on the right of the related posts.

I had this website built for our not for profit arts group. Showed designer the issue, never got resolved. Very frustrated looking for help, at least how to explain issue to someone who could fix it.
Website displays as very narrow strip on smart phones. Is this a big fix?

I’m having some surprising behavior with the responsive design just adapting the width of the window trying out my site.

When the window is wide (and every wide) the Widget area moves down the page, whereas when the window is less wide the widget area is up where it should be on the right side. So it’s acting in the opposite way to the expected. Have I messed up a setting somewhere? (I thought it was related to the Layout Width in the Resize component part of the Customize menu, but can’t make that work.

I also tried to look up the code that controls this behavior but could figure out where it is. I’d be curious to look at that part too.

How can you activate the social Icons:
I added the smartadapt socila icons widget to the main sidebar, but apart from the text I cannot see anything. Is there a code I have to add to the field present for any single socila media listed in the widget?

I would like to translate the buttons and front end text into Dutch. I have translated the .pot file using POEdit and placed the .po and .mo files in the languages folder. How do I tell smartadapt to use the translation?

I have started using this theme but from the beginning the menu does not work in mobile. It says “Menu not found”.
If you resize the window to around 400px it also shows this error. It is in the left menu. How can I fix this?
I tried several things, such as enabling the vertical bar and so on.

I am using the SmartAdapt theme for my corporate intranet with mostly no problems. When we view the site in Google Chrome, it looks great. However, I have noticed when we view the site in Internet Explorer, the formatting is not great – the fonts don’t look right and my widgets are a bit askew.

I have amended the Compatibility View settings in IE and this has made a slight improvement.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi. Really like your theme. Only small issue is that when I visit my blog using Safari (iOS), an empty menu is added that displays as “Menu Not Found” at the top of every page. The regular dropdown menu (three lines in top corner) still works fine. All other menu’s work correctly in on computer and iPad. Please let me know if I can fix this. Can’t seem to find the area that’s controlling this behavior, but for some reason when I view the mobile version of the site, all of the content except the header section loads quickly, and then after a short delay, the header appears. This happens with every single page being viewed on a mobile device.

I think this is a great theme! I’m not quite sure what might be wrong, but when I view our website on my phone, the margins and position of all content are scattered on the homepage. The rest of the pages on the site display as expected. The desktop version displays totally fine. Any ideas on what I may have overlooked when I updated the css or php files?

When I add an image gallery (through the WordPress media manager) to any of the pages in my site, I can view the thumbnails fine.

If the images are linked to an attachment page,any attempt to click and enlarge them causes a black popup window and indefinite loading animation – the image never loads. I see the following error in my console:

If the images in the gallery are linked to the Media File, instead of the Attachment Page, they load fine.

This is only an issue with SmartAdapt and my child theme. They work fine with Twentytwelve, and I tried disabling all plugins which didn’t help.

Can anyone offer any insight here? Thanks in advance.

Before I download this theme, I was wondering if it is possible to change the colors?…Enlarge the top bar and put a logo instead of text there?

…and possibly get rid of standard sidebar navigation menu. My blog is very long (lots of vertical reading) and I would like to possibly widen the middle content “box,” and also bring some of the videos from the bottom up to the top. I seem to have an increasing bounce rate and I am not sure what is attributing to that, but want to try a few things. Thank you in advance. My site is READ.eat.DEW.write.

ALSO: If I upgrade to the paid template, will I lose all the customizations that I have made? It’s the only thing holding me back.

Hii, I installed this theme and customized it and added social buttons via settings. I selected facebook like, Twitter and Google+. But facebook like button is not appearing in the post. instead of that, a blank space is there. please help as i am completely new at wordpress. I would really appreciate that.
