This theme used to support transparent PNG images in the main slider, now they just spin with the loading symbol. JPG images are just fine.

If not supporting transparent images any longer, anyone have CSS code to remove the border from the one slider image on the temp2.sandrajackson.biz page, which is a sort-of fix to my original problem with transparent images. Any help would be appreciated as this is my template for building property sites.

I don’t know why I struggle with this every time. I need to add a simple share link I already have to only the single.php file. When I copy and paste the template parts to a single.php file and upload it to my theme, it breaks my blog posts. I cannot find a step by step how to to do this correctly in the mess we call google. Please tell it to me like I’m five. I don’t want a template I have to tell it to use every time I make a blog post. I want to edit the default template for every blog post. Please help! ??

I’m using the WP theme called Sixteen. I’m now using version 1.7.2.

I had a problem with entering and displaying mixed English (or Chinese) and Arabic texts on the same page.

At the moment, it seems that the switch to RTL or LTR is at the “site level”, not the “field within page” level. That means I can’t have both LTR ad RTL languages entered or displayed on the same page at the same time, otherwise the direction and punctuation of either language is incorrect.

Is there a solution, e.g., custom CSS, plugin, etc., to enable mixed LTR and RTL languages to be entered and displayed on the same page in a site.

Our website is momentoflife.net. Lately, we have pages that need mixed Chinese/English (LTR writing system) and Arabic (RTL writing system) languages on same page. Is there a plug-in available to auto-change from RTL to LTR according to the language entered/typed on the post (page)?

Currently, what you saw on this webpage (https://www.momentoflife.net/?page_id=25827.) is not typed in manually, it is just an image. The reason is, if I type in the arabic texts, the punctuation, e.g., comma, full-stop, etc. always ends on the right hand side of the sentence. Instead, the correct thing is the punctuation should end on the left hand side of the sentence.

I have managed to change the colours for the background of the site and the main content.

I can’t find out how to change the colour of the site container (I mean the narrow strip that shows around the edge of the content and also between the content and the sidebar).

Can you tell me where to find that please?

It would also be nice to close up the space between the content and the sidebar

I have one menu which shows correctly on the top navbar. However today, the same menu is suddenly appearing on the left-hand side over the header image. I’ve checked all the settings and I can’t see why it’s suddenly appearing there.

Please note that some of the rotating images are dark so if you can’t see that menu, refresh till you get a lighter image and you’ll see it’s obvious

I’m trying to center the main navigation of this site:

The menu was centered, but after several updates*, it shifted left, and I can’t seem to figure out what CSS is acting on it to move it left. I’ve tried playing with several things in Chrome Developer Tools, but nothing seems to move it to the center.

(*This site isn’t updated very often – I know, SHAME ON ME! – so I ran a lot of updates all at once. Everything else is ok, so I’d rather not roll everything back just for what seems to be a simple CSS fix. Honestly think it’s just something I’ve missed.)

I’ve just created this website using your theme, thank you. Can you tell me how many images I can use for the header? Currently I have 12 (twelve) images and I have it set to randomize the images, but it seems like it only randomizes the first 5 or 6, not them all?

After the update to version 1.7.0 the navigation on mobile and smaller screens is gone. I heard this from someone else and noticed it on a clients site as well.

A rollback to 1.6.5 solved it for now, but this needs some extra work. Can you please fix this asap?

I noticed the update to Sixteen version 1.6.1, but missed information in the changelog. So I’ve downloaded and compared it with version 1.6.0 and they are identical. Why?

I installed the update to version 1.6.0, but it broke the display of category pages on my site.
The pagination was correct, and almost all elements of the page displayed, but the content area, which should have displayed page featured image thumbnails, was blank.

I was able to restore back the previous installed theme v1.5.6 which immediately fixed the problem.

So far as I can tell, this may never have worked. It wasn’t a big deal for a while, but we now have so many posts that it’s awkward not being able to go to past collections.

I am having a problem with my main navigation parent and child pages. For some reason the spacing is so big that you cannot click on child links.

Client Galleries and Digital Scrapbooking both have child pages that cannot be navigated to because of the spacing issue. If you are super quick you can click on them, but it’s not very user friendly..

I am attempting to use a custom font for the headers on my site and for whatever reason the custom font is only displaying on the header for the main page. It does not display on the header for the individual pages even though they are coded in the same place. Please advise

Hello,

whatever the number of slides I chose the title of the last slide is not taken into account when on the website. It is always the title of the previous slide that appears instead.

I explain: when I configure the number of slides to 5, for instance, and write 5 differents titles and descriptions for each slide, the 5th slide will automatically show the title and description of the 4th slide, on the website.

The same when I configure the number of slides to 4: the title and the descpription of the third slide will be shown, for both, 3rd and 4th, slides. It means, that I can’t have two different titles for the two last slides of the slider.
It bothers me, because I would like to use each slide for differents topics and named them with different titles.

Can you help please?

I Upgraded to 1.5 of the free sixteen Theme and now like everyone, the slider and more option are not working. I read that it was changed to be added in the theme customizer from wordpress but anytime i go on the customizer i get a blank page with the loading circle…

looks like a had a similarly hard time in upgrading as did many others.
firstly, so that i don’t run into upgrade problems i am using a child theme of sixteen but on upgrade to v1.5 iran into 2 major errors.
the first was an undefined call for the slider in my child’s header.php file – thankfully i just cut out the code at line 39… not ideal but at least i don’t get a big horrible error msg.
the next thing was losing my custom footer text. i’d set it previously via the sixteen settings – on upgrade it disappeared but when i tried to set ti through the wordpress customiser, it just didn’t work.
as a fix i’ve hard-coded it into footer.php in my child theme – but is there a way i can fix it properly please as i don’t want my client having to do that!

I’m trying to upgrade my theme to version 1.5 but the Nivo Slider doesn’t show on the first page. I looked at the theme code for it and it’s completely changed between version 1.3 and 1.5.

Most of my pages were created using Optimize Press and I was not expecting the slider to work on those pages but I have tried creating pages with the Sixteen theme and it still does not work.

Hi! i’m using Sixteen theme and while it looks nice, it doesn’t show the excerpts of the posts in the category pages or the homepage. It only shows the thumbnail of the “featured image” of each post.

I would like to change color on navigation box but I do not know how to do it.
I try with:

I changed the color of the navigation box and it was ok but when you click on, for example , contact page displays the old color.

Does anyone know how I can change the size of the sliders on my Sixteen-theme website (www.dierdrew.us)? The photos all appear too large, much bigger than the header. Is it possible to make them smaller? I’m new to this, and will really appreciate any help!

I would like to hide long pins in my posts (yet keep the image pinable) using the <div style=”display:none;”> image </div> code. However, when I add this to the text file, the image is hidden but it is no longer viewable for pinning to pinterest as suggestions. Is there other text I should be using to get the desired effect?

After enabling a SSL certificate I wanted to switch to default https but then the header image disappears.
Is there a way to set the header url to ‘/wp-content/uploads/…’ (without the the http prefix) so the site will work for both http and https ?
Maybe there are other settings that also need to be adapted to work with https prefix ?
