I have a cookie banner widget from jetpack but once enabled it seems to re appear everytime I open the widget panel at the bottom. clicking ‘close & accept’ on the cookies banner also closes the widget panel so back to square one!

it does say on Jetpack that it can be set to show only on homepage if you set it to that but that’s also dependent on the theme

what’s the case here? is it possible? or is there another way to show a cookies banner for Singl?

I’m just replicating my old site from a wp. com to a self hosted. org one and the Singl theme is missing a bunch of features like the ability to change fonts or colours. The “subscription form” box is there to be ticked but it just doesn’t show. Is that a compatibility issue with WordPress 6? Or a self hosting thing?

Is the tour dates list dynamically created by a plug in, or is it merely an old-style manually created table within a child page or post—which is somehow displayed on the homepage?

I haven’t dug around CSS in over 10 years, and I gotta say, things have changed quite a bit. So now I’m confused.

I can’t figure out how to change the colors of links, as well as other elements when I hover over them. They’re green now, and there’s a shade of blue I want. I found this bit of code, but it doesn’t do anything for me.

I found code to change the width of the content area, but it doesn’t change the width of the header image. I’m guessing I just need to add something before the brackets, but I’d rather not guess and I’d prefer to hear from you guys.

I’ve moved to a self hosted site, and am having trouble with my header image now not displaying. I’ve added it in the customizer a few times and while the file is still there, its not displaying in the preview or on the site.

I’m trying to use singl as a single-page theme, but having this issue with the menu for anchor links.

To reproduce:

1. click hamburger menu
2. click “TEST” link (which is an anchor link)

Expected behavior:
page scrolls to anchor, menu collapses

Actual behavior:
page scrolls to anchor, menu remains and obscures content

The Singl theme appears to render too wide on mobile (phone) browsers. I have disabled all plugins and even eliminated the background image completely, but the problem persists. Interestingly, you can even see it on the demo theme here:

If you go to the “phone” browser demo or simply open the demo on a phone, you will see that there are scroll bars on the bottom and it slides left to right.

Is there any way to resolve this so the theme defaults to the actual width of the phone and I no longer have an issue with scrolling left or right?

I have a section for only registered users on my homepage.
Posts that are for registered users only are not shown on the tag and category pages and when there are no posts nothing is shown.
But when there is no content on these search engines occurre a soft 404 error and the pages don’t appear in search.
So would it be possible to always show the category btw. the tag description on top? So there’s at least a little bit of content on those sites.

I’ve just set this new Singl blog: https://jijiangfasheng.wordpress.com. It is on wordpress.com for the moment, but will be transferred soon to www.remarpro.com on a private domain.

The main audience is in China Mainland, thus I would like to add links to my Chinese social medias in the social media menu, such as Weibo and Youku. However the preset icons don’t include those media. Is it possible to add personalized icons?

I am trying to identify what the actual element it is that acts as the container for inserting rows and thus, my content. By default, the Singl theme makes a big white rectangular block as a container for each row for inserting content. I am looking through the style.css file to find it so I can reduce the padding or margin as it is too thick on all sides and I need to modify that. Where in Singl’s style.css file can I find this info? Or, what is the best method for modifying these blocks or making them transparent?

I have installed Singl and Jetpack on my blog (self hosted). I had to perform minor tweaks in the CSS file to have the subscribe form display properly.

Basically, all you need to do is replace:
.subscribe-form-wrapper .widget
with:
.subscribe-form-wrapper .widget, .subscribe-form-wrapper .jetpack_subscription_widget

Is is possible to change the site title font to a custom one, that I have installed on my laptop. (Note that I’m not using a web host, though I do have the premium package which allows me to edit the css). If not, is it possible to replace the site title with a background-image?

I’m trying to align the social links in center position.
no matter how I try, it only aligns to the left..

and responsive mode on iphone makes header text’s font size not affected and the letter alignment is broken.

is it possible to resize the header font smaller in reponsive mode on smaller display?

I have a free WordPress account and am using the WordPress site to publish and edit my blog. I want to keep things simple and start with a free plan and theme until I’ve been blogging long enough to know I want to invest more in the blog.

I was very happy with the Singl theme at first until I found that the <!––nextpage––> tag does not work on this theme to break a post into multiple pages. The advice to add <?php wp_link_pages(); ?> on single.php for themes where this tag doesn’t work automatically is either something I haven’t been able to figure out to do or something I can’t do as a free user (when I go to Customize, WordPress tells me I need to upgrade to Premium).

I was frustrated enough with this to start looking at other free themes, but none captured the same look and feel I was able to get with Singl. Is there a way for me to create multiple-page posts on this theme as a free user?

I am planning to build a musician/band website and Singl seemed like a great option.

One thing that I thought would make it look pretty neat would be embedding a video as the background image.

Hi, I’m pretty new at this so forgive me if this is an ignorant question, but is there a way that when you click on a Parent page it will display all the content from the Child pages underneath it?

For instance, I have the following hierarchy:

MIXES (Parent)
– 2005 (Child)
– 2004 (Child)
– 2003 (Child)
– 2002 (Child)

When you click on the 2005 or 2004 link it will take you to the page where it displays content only from that page.

However, is there a way that when you click on MIXES it will list all content from the Child pages (ie: 2005, 2004, 2003 etc)?

I was after some help with the Singl theme please.

Firstly, i would be looking to freeze my navaigation bar at the top, so when i scrolled down the nav bar would be visable all the time (similar to ‘freeze top row’ in excell). Is this a possibility/how would i do it?

In addition, i want to be able to add a couple of links (text or image) into the bar next to the social buttons. The idea is i can get rid of the drop down menu and have all my internal pages linked from a frozen top pane.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Singl doesn’t work with WP 4.2.2. When it’s activated it causes a “The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.” error. Any reason why this is so?

I’d like to make the Div “Bottom Panel” float on top of the body of the page when the panel is expanded. Currently, the footer is displaced by the expansion of the Bottom Panel. Idealy, when the arrow to expand the menu would be pressed, the the footer should remain static and not move.
