I have reached out to my hosting provider and Elementor and they’re telling me that my Sinatra theme needs updated or changed. I’m trying to make a change on my home page but keep getting a “Server error 403” message. I was able to make changes to my other webpages so I don’t know why I’m having this issue with just the home page. If I add a section in Elementor and add basic text then it’ll update. But if I try to move that section up, then I get the error message. I’ve also tried adding something from my Elementor templates and it won’t save.
When I contacted Elementor, they sent me a video that showed if they changed my theme then it would save. Please work on keeping your theme updated as many people are using it. I really don’t want to switch to another theme and have to redesign it all over again.
I’ve had many issues over the last 4 years where everyone points to the theme not keeping up with updates to WordPress and WooCommerce.

]]>The breadcrumb container (and subsequent breadcrumb menu) is partially obscured by the header menu of my site. I’ve adjusted the spacing under Customise > Header > Breadcrumbs to various pixel values, but no matter how high I go (i.e., 100 px), the breadcrumbs remain partially hidden by the menu. I’m keen to fix this but can’t find a solution to have the breadcrumbs visible.
]]>On my homepage the title that appears in my tab on Google Chrome is saying the name of a featured blog post rather than the name of my website. Do you know what setting I should go to in order to change this? All of the other pages the titles are showing correctly. There is no option to edit any details of the homepage in my dashboard either as it’s not showing as an individual page which is strange. My website is still not live because of this so I’m unable to share a link.

It’d also be nice to limit how many posts show on the homepage when the homepage is set to show blog posts. It makes it hard to reach the footer.
]]>When I try and edit a page, the background and the text are white and I cannot see what I am editing. If I change themes, I can see the page but when I change back to the Sinatra Theme, it all goes white. Now if I preview the page or look at it on the regular home page on the site, everything looks normal. But if I try and edit the page in the admin console, it is all white.
How can I fix this?
]]>I love the clean look of the Sinatra theme. It’s generally easy to set up, but the latest update v1.3 seems to have broken the buttons – the options I choose in customise do not work on live page.
I set up a sample page to customise all my settings. The just remains black with white text and does not pick up any of the hover and text colours changes. I’ve done this on several WP sites.
I tried adding the Sinatra Core plugin, not sure what that does but it didn’t help. So I uninstalled it.
I also added Kadence Blocks plugin and customised a nice button there, but as soon as I added the link, the buttom text formatting seemed to be over ridden by the hyperlink defaut colours which I set in the Sinarta theme customiser. So I don’t know if that is a Kadence issue or a theme issue.
All I can do at the moment is have a black button with white text, with not hover action – which is not a good long term solution.
I would like to add the Search widget in topbar. Added this code to class-sinatra-customizer-top-bar-php

]]>As soon as the Sinatra theme was upgraded to 3.1 the custom login settings for the Ultimate Member plugin no longer worked. I rolled back to version 1.2.1 and it now works fine again.
Please look into this. I like to keep things up to date but having my site members no longer able to login is not an option.

On our WordPress website (using the free version of Elementor, Sinatra theme), we have encountered an problem with child pages.
We created a child page with the URL: sreesrehab.com/locations/anna-nagar, which is subpage of the “locations” parent page.
However, WordPress is displaying this child page as a standalone page at URL : sreesrehab.com/anna-nagar/. This has resulted in duplicate content.
We need this page to only be accessible as a child page under “locations,” not as an independent page.
If anyone could offer assistance, resources, or if you know where we could find relevant help, it would be helpful.

]]>I am working on a new site build with the the Sinatra theme and am having nothing but trouble. I had a really hard time getting the site logo to display at all on my site. Now it displays very small. And on top of that I am unable to make any changes to the custom css. In fact, it seems that all changes that I make in the ‘customize’ section are not reflected on the site. Things appear find in the preview, but none of the pages on my site reflect any custom changes. Is the theme broken, or could there be something else that I am missing?

]]>Hello, I have been searching for ways to increase the font size of the primary navigation menu label on my site, using Sinatra Theme. I did not see that the theme was no longer being maintained before building my site.
The font size appearance designation would apply to both the Menu Items as well as the Mobile Menu Button Label when it is just a hamburger in mobile view. I was able to get the size to increase once by adding html (<font size=36> and <h1>) to the menu label field in the customizer, but it reverted and no longer shows increased font size after closing out the Customizer. I have searched for custom CSS to add but what I have found and tried for this also does work for me. The only workaround I have found is to increase the Base Typography under General Settings for the whole site to the maximum font size and then going through every other part of the site and reducing the text size. If I am missing something, please help! This seems like a basic design need for a theme.
]]>The Wordfence security plugin has flagged this theme’s companion “Sinatra Core” plugin as abandoned, since there have been no updates to it since February 2021. I see from the plugin’s support page that it – despite its name – is not actually required to run the theme. However, the theme’s last update was only 2 months later than the plugin’s last update, so soon it too will be flagged as abandoned, and users are already wondering about how secure it is if nobody’s monitoring it, not to mention at what point it may stop functioning with newer versions of the WordPress core.
There is no author link on either page, and if I try to access links in old support replies, I get a security error. What happens when a theme with 40,000 active users is abandoned by its author? Do WordPress volunteers step in to update the theme, or are those 40,000 sites just out of luck, and faced with the choice of whether to chance keeping the theme, or rebuild their site with a different one??

Hopefully the Sinatra team will fix this. I wanted to go there to learn more about the theme and how to work with it.

I’ve chosen the “Sinatra” theme to work with, and so far I like the design …. but I would really like to try and adjust the height of the “pre-footer / call to action” bar. The width I can work with and change, but I would like the bar to be a little shorter (height-wise) and I cannot figure out the code to adjust it down … maybe it can’t be done?

The styles are reflected in the site, but I don’t see that actual CSS code in the page source, which normally you would. Where does Sinatra save the Additional CSS from the WP Customize admin panel?
