When I first stated using the Simple Catch theme, all of the posts automatically posted with a right sidebar.

I’m not sure exactly when it happened but in one of the updates, the default setting is now No Sidebar. It is not a problem for new posts as I just set the format before posting the article. However, I just noticed that all of my old posts (several hundred) have all reverted to the No Sidebar setting.

Is there anything I can do to force the posts, especially the old posts, to default to the right sidebar setting so I don’t have to manually change all of the old posts?

I created a blog a few years ago and that included a scrolling slider at the top of the homepage.

I have now returned to the blog to update it but I have hit a snag. I can’t edit the slider any more.

I want to update the slider images but the feature that existed previously appears to have gone (..appearance / theme options / featured slider) Due to an upgrade I think something has changed.

Anyway, if anyone has had a similar problem and solved it please do let me know. Thanks.

I am currently using the ‘Simple Catch’ theme for my blog. When I try to add my newest story to the front page carousel, I got the following message last night:

500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I also get this error message when I click on the following links in my appearance menu:

-Background
-Customize
-Header
-Edit CSS

I’m also getting the following error message on my Themes page, which only shows 8 themes on the main themes page, and 15 themes on “add new.”

–An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.–

This has been happening for at least 12 hours now.

What’s going on? How can these issues be resolved in a quick matter.
I will be changing WP templates this month and doing content migration with about 4 years of posts and would like to make sure there are no internal errors happening, so this can go smoothly.

I have installed Simple Catch theme in my world press site. When I publish the post, it also APPEARS in the Main Header of the site.
Why it is happening like this. Kindly help me to resolve this issue?

I upgraded the Simple Catch template today, and it seems my page layout is broken in the Safari browser.

It seems to work ok on Chrome and IE on windows 10.

I just tried everything I could think of to translate those links in the front page and (following pages): po & mo, content.php, page-blog.php, and so on but nothing seems to work.

I finally had to go to the CSS and insert a “display: none;” on the related lines…
(I have a child theme of course)

Could you please tell me where I need to go ?

I just launched my website, and the Featured images are not showing properly on the homepage. It’s not the right dimensions; for one article it’s showing the whole image, for the other, just a little part of the image. But in both case, only a little square is supposed to be selected to be shown.

Strange thing is, it was ok in the preview mode.

I tryed to use a Thumbnail Editor, and every thumbnails are ok. I don’t understand. It’s as if suddently, wordpress is not taking the right dimension/thumbnail for the home page.

Can someone help me please?

My site is https://appletechtalk.com. I am running WordPress 4.4.2, a child theme of Simple Catch 3.1, BBPress 2.5.8 and bbPress new UI plug-in 3.5.0.1.

Someone just brought to my attention that my Forums do not appear on my Forums page. All that shows up is the sidebar.

I’m not sure when these disappeared or why. I tried rolling back my theme, bbPress and the bbPress New UI plug in to a couple of versions ago but that did not correct the problem. I then switched to the Twenty-Fifteen theme and the forums appear on the page again.

Can anyone give me an idea what happened or what I can do to fix it?

My web site is https://appletechtalk.com. I am running a child theme of the Simple Catch theme.

The default text color in the theme is a medium gray. After I enter my post content, I select all of the text and change the color to black. It then appears as black when I look at the post but when the post actually gets published, some or all of it reverts back to the gray. Even if I go back in an reset the text to black on the post screen, it publishes as gray.

On this page I had selected all of the text and titles to be black but you will see, some of it published in gray. If I select a specific color for links (I use a dark red), that seems to work correctly but the black does not.

Any ideas what is causing this and how I can fix it?

Hello,

I changed the logo and site title/tagline but it is not showing when you go to my site. Here is what I did, I clicked on:

Appearance
Customize
Site Identity
I put in my title and Tagline
I uploaded a photo for my logo (I used png and jpeg)
Saved info.

When I click “visit site” from the dash board, I can see the change. When I log out of wordpress and put in my site name it looks as though no change was made. There is no title/tagline and the word “logo” is showing when it should be my picture.

Please help me understand what I may have done incorrectly. Should I have checked off certain boxes? How do I get my logo (picture) and title/tagline to appear in the header? Thank you

Hey guys, my site at https://www.variousgeekery.com has an issue.

If I use the visual post editor to write a post, on the front page it has no line breaks between paragraphs, but if I go to the post itself on it’s permalinks, then it looks fine.

To get the posts to show properly on the front page, I need to switch to the text editor and insert the line break code.

I’ve left the post “The Hound voice search app looks awesome!” and “Don’t worry about the robot uprising quite yet” as they are so you can see what I mean. Any ideas?

“\themes\simple-catch\functions\simplecatch_functions.php”

For this, I created a file function.php in child theme like this:

I have created a homepage (www.horg.si) with the theme Simple Catch. I have made Simple Catch child theme and everything had worked fine till now. Now mx page is not visible and i am getting the following notice:

Broken Themes

The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

Name Description
SimpleCatch-child Stylesheet is missing. Delete

Is there any way to get a backup or is it possible for you to restore my homepage?

I just want the my slider can rotate but it dosen′t.
I want 2 sliders, but the problem is that when I write the ID and I save it, just the #1 featured post is there.

I already check the time of the transitions and that all the post have the featured images, but it still dosen′t work.

I’d like to know if this theme has what I’m looking for…..

These are the things I want out of a theme:
-mobile/tablet compatible
-top bar with drop down menus
-multiple widget areas with capability to view photo and story title (click to story)
-flipper with large image and title for 3-4 current stories
-advertising space (do I have a better chance of getting advertising here than on WordPress.com?)
-social media logos
-option of having article previews including image, title and a few lines then click to whole story (rather than all stories running down the page)
-is the website dark until finished?

I’m using the simple catch theme (thecolddeadhand.com). I use post thumbnail editor to resize my images. I created slider thumbnails for each of my featured images, and they showed up on the homepage slider perfectly. Now for some reason they suddenly are too small for the feature post slider. What happened? These aren’t large images, but I was still able to crop them and use a portion of the image for my featured slider, now it shows the full image but it leaves a ton of white space on both sides.

My slider pics have a dotted background. It was all okay until i changed one slider picture, the second one out the four. My website is https://www.qrsolutions.co.uk. I paid someone to design it, so i could just go in and edit the content and pictures easily. Could someone help me please. Thanks.
