This is one of my favorite themes by my favorite theme designer ?? I use it as a parent theme on a thing I call SPLOT that allows people to create sites for public writing w/o access to the WP editor.
This site is being tested by some visually impaired users, and I am getting reports of lack of accessibility features for the site search, I am trying the WP Accessibility plugin to overcome the WordPress lack of adding form labels.
But I am curious, not being very expert in the issues at play, if the way the search field is hidden unto the magnifier icon is clicked, presents an accessibility challenge. Is the search form navigable by a screen reader if it is visually hidden?
Thanks
]]>Hi,
Would anyone know how to center the menu bar? I recently added a new page and the menu no longer fits on one line and it looks odd being justified to the left. I would like to center it somehow so it looks nicer ??
Thank you in advance!
]]>Hovering over a main menu item causes a submenu to pop out and appear beside the main menu item, which is good. However when hovering over a popout submenu item, the next item on the *main* menu is what gets highlighted, and the item on the submenu disappears, highlighting the next main menu item instead.
This means a visitor cannot click on a submenu item from the main menu.
There are two main menu items which exhibit this behavior, but a third that does not. I can’t find any reason why the first two exhibit this behavior; not the parent/child page relationship, not the placement in the menu structure, nothing.
I don’t know how long this behavior has existed but it cannot continue. Visitors need to be able to click from the menu to the page they want to select.
Any advice is welcome.

]]>Hi
In hosting, I increased the PHP version from 7.4 to 8.0 and then ran some normal updates (plugins). Now the website is throwing up this error message:
Warning: Undefined array key “address” in /home/httpd/vhosts/exampledomain.ch/httpdocs/wp-content/themes/radcliffe-2-wpcom/contact-info/contact-info-functions.php on line 8
How can this error be fixed?
Thank you very much in advance.
Hi All,
Am new to WordPress and to this theme. I’d like to change the titles of all of the posts to allow lowercase letters. I can see that there’s lots of entries of “text-transform: uppercase;” in the style.css. Which one do I need to delete – I can’t figure out which section will do it for all posts… Specifically, I’m talking about the “YO LA TENGO & DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE AT THE FOX THEATER” in this post: https://www.staticandblur.com/gallery/yo-la-tengo-death-cab-for-cutie/
Thank you!

]]>Hello there!,
Although I created my clients website several years ago using Radcliffe 2, I am still a beginner!! This was first website I have build so I am sure there are many mishaps within. As of recently my client noticed that the navigation menu was not working properly, as well as the responsive mode. In addition the navigation bar is no longer centered under the logo.
1) On the desktop; if I hoover over about us it shows the pulldown nicely. But if a person was to click rather than hover, it shows a blank page and no dropdown menu (if you happen to move your curser a bit). The client would like the blank page removed if you “click” and would like the navigation to show up on a click and stay, maybe rather than a hoover. I honestly think it works fine the way it is, but my client doesn’t think people know to hover rather than click. Can this be changed to a click (and remove the blank page on the navigation label) This is the same result for (About us, Services and Online Dispensary.)
2) On the iPhone, when I click the menu button the navigation lines up correctly. However, when I click on a menu item that has dropdown, I have to be very specifc to click on the check mark and not the about us. If I click on about us, the whole navigation disappears. This is the same result for About us, Services and Online Dispensary.
3) I had created a child theme from the parent theme, but it has not been updated in a couple years, could this be contributing to the issue? I have not updated because within WordPress, it says that I could loose all my formatting if I update, SCARED!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I reached out to WP Beginners for help and that was unsuccessful.

Just noticed on a site using my child theme that having a long title pushes the menu bar off screen (and runs off itself) on screens less than 600px. Not sure if it affects anything else, but adding this CSS (in Customizer for sites using Radcliffe or in child theme) made long titles more responsive:
.blog-title {
max-width: 80%;
}

Hello, first of all thanks for the theme, I find it really useful.
I have a question, is there any way to change the size of the featured image so it fits the banner of the post.
For example in the example page of the theme there is a post that says Hello World! and I would like that the image is just the size of the Hello World! banner in the main page.
I already tried changing the size of the featured image but I realized that is a theme thing, independent of the image that I upload.
Thanks again!

More info:
— Using latest versions of WP & theme Radcliffe.
— This is just the standard built-in WP gallery.
— No other image-related plugins are installed.
— I’ve tried 3+ different CSS code snippets, to no avail.
Kindly nudge me in the right direction.

Hello,
I need help ASAP!
Long story short, when I edit or create posts and pages the original Blocks are not there. It is replaced with a text box for code and shortcuts.
I can no longer add galleries, text boxes, or any of my plugins.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Danny
Hello,
When i am in “Edit” for my Posts and Page, they have now become text blocks of code instead of the original blocks for salaries and text boxes…
I thought it may have been a plug-in but i’ve removed the most recent ones I downloaded.
Thanks in advance,
Danny.
Hello,
I am currently developing a website using XAMPP Local Hosting with the Radcliffe Theme.
I’m almost finished with my website but i would like the “About The Author”, “About The Post”, and “Comments are Closed” to be removed off every post that I have created.
I’ve done a fair bit of research and tried installing the WP Meta and Date Remover Plug-in, as well as attempting some CSS. All to no success.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Danny.
Hi,
I currently use Radcliffe, I like it, but there are a couple design elements I’m grappling with, Before I invest more time, I’d like to know if there are reasonable fixes or if they fall into the category of web development.
Here are the items I’d like to adjust (didn’t find them in forum):
-Customize fonts – change font style, and colors to a specific hex code in body text, titles, menu
-Header – make logo left justified (instead of centered) and in line with menu
-Reduce some padding in header area.
Thanks!
]]>Looking to set menu to right justify. Haven’t seen any other posts, so hope I’m not repeating a previous topic. I have Jetpack. Using Modern Bauhaus style.
Also interested in having logo on left side (justified left) next to menu, so it all runs across in one line – hope that makes sense?
Menu is the priority though. Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.
