I’m locally developing a simple child theme and I got the very basics setup and working, but when I add style changes to the childs style.css they do not override the parent. Throught the browser inspector I can see that they are there, but the parents css is being prioritized it seems.
Is there a way except adding !important to every single line to have it just use the child css when present?

I wanted to ask about specific action hook qi_action_after_header_logo_image which can be found in inc/header/templates/parts/logo.php. I have a trouble hooking any function to this action. Here is the code I used

The problem is that I am not getting any HTML output on frontend whatsoever.
I tried with some other hooks like qi_action_before_page_header and it is working fine.
Can you please try to replicate this on your end and let me know if it works for you?

when i add items to cart on my WooCommerce site , which has Qi Version: 1.3 , the “Add a coupon” field is only visible on the Cart page , but not on Checkout.
The WooCommerce support said this is something that must be enabled by the theme , not by WooCommerce itself.
Since i have also the Direct Checkout plugin that brings the buyer directly to Checkout , the cart page is skipped , so the buyers never see the Coupon field.
How can i make the theme show that field on Checkout page too?
]]>Hi! I have a problem with QI theme header. I must admit that it is 1st time when something like that is happening and I’m using this theme for several websites.
When I changed the logo image (all three – main, sticky and mobile) the sticky and mobile logos are OK, but main logo remained old, and after i deleted that old file there is a blank place (with icon and alternative text displayed). I tried to clean the browser cache, I checked it out on other systems and browsers but still the same. Please help me to resolve this problem because I’m stuck with this.
I use the side area and it works fine. How to open the side area with a custom URL-Link (eg. text link with href=”javascript:void(0)”?)
]]>My custom Add to Cart button says either ‘Album Details and Audio’ as shown on the linked page at the bottom or ‘Listen to Audio’ for other product pages. You can see that the ‘Buy Sheet Music’ button is displaying correctly (this is the standard WooCommerce Add to Cart button) and it shows correctly as ‘Add to Cart’ on the product pages for the products I’m selling myself and ‘Buy Sheet Music’ for the products which are external/affiliate products.
On the Shop page, all the buttons display correctly, but as you can see on that linked page, the ‘Album Details and Audio’ button is not displaying correctly on the Single Product page. This is also true for the ‘Listen to Audio’ button on the other product pages.
I’ve also linked below here to the Shop page so you can see how the buttons both display correctly on that page.

I don’t know if it’s connected or not, but I was also getting two ‘Add to Cart’ or ‘Buy Sheet Music’ buttons but I’ve hidden it on the single product page so it’s not a problem now.

]]>I’ve used several free demos for several websites. Recently while working on another project, I noticed footer codes on 2 different free demos are totally different.
In one of them, “Web Agency” demo, has proper order; footer top and footer bottom are same level ordered divs.
In another demo “Health Center”, footer bottom is nested inside footer top div.
I want to style footer bottom similar to another project, which is made from Web Studio demo, but because it is nested inside footer top div I cannot style separately.
Compared all the settings in theme options panel, everything is the same. No setting about this on the options panel. Neither on page specific settings section.
How can I fix this? Importing different demos also change some codes in the theme?

I have created Portfolios for 11 (eleven) artworks. On the portfolio-category page which I have linked above, there are only 9 portfolio feature images shown. An error 404 message is returned when the user navigates to page2 using the pagination (1,2,>) at the bottom of the screen.
I do not see portfolio page options (# of portfolios to show at most) on the Qi theme Reading Settings.
Is there a way to change the number of portfolios to show on each page? (ie, 12 or 16 or more…)

I installed and axctivated the Qi theme in my wordpress and am trying to import the Web Studio free demo using the One-Click Demo Import Feature using the Qode Essential Addon method. I have followed the steps listed in the How To Import Demo Content Using The One-Click Demo Import Feature (Bridge Versions 18 And Older) page of the Qode Help Center but unfortunately the import gets stuck at 5% and doesn’t proceed.
I have checked the php.ini file with my hosting provider and it the values are even higher than the ones suggested in the Help Center. I have installed and activated only the plugins required by the theme and am running WordPress 6.1.1
I am attaching a screenshot of the page and the import stuck at 5%. What could be the cause of such error?

I’m developing a website using the theme Qode Interactive. However, I’m facing an issue with the visibility of the site logo while browsing it through mobile or tablet devices.
The logo is visible when we browse from desktop, but on mobile it is not visible. Please refer to the screenshot here. Another similar issue i’m facing is that the sticky header is not visible on mobile or tablet devices, while on desktop it works fine. What could be the possible fixes for this?

]]>Hello, I’m quite new to wordpress as a tool for website building, but i’ve been trying my best to learn. My current project is a landing page for a client who runs a store from whatsapp, it’s a bit of an odd business model but I can adapt to it, the page is currently barely built, but my client is adamant that it must have a way to showcase his basic products.
Qi theme is a tool I’m enjoying a lot, it’s very flexible, but I’m struggling with a way to make a simple showcase for products that allows me to display an image, a title, a price, and a link. I thought the “product slider” widget had the perfect layout, but it seems to be connected to the woocommerce elements, I created a custom product but i can’t figure out a way to replace the “add to cart” label and link with a custom external link to his store.
I’d want to know if there’s even a way to do this at all using the product slider widget or if there is an alternative with similar results. Thanks in advance for any advice or solutions.
]]>When creating a Post for our News page on Elementor in Qi Theme, we select an image that we want to be the featured image on that Post’s tile, which looks good. But the same image is also used as the banner image on the Post…and that image doesn’t center properly. How do we adjust the image so the people’s faces are in the center and not cut off?
We are able to adjust the banner images elsewhere, but can’t figure it out on the Post widget.

]]>Hi. On some of our pages there is thin white space above the banner image and header, but on other pages the image and header fill the whole screen, which is what we want.

]]>The banner on each page takes its name from the menu. So on our Take Action page, it says Take Action in blue letters on the banner. Can we change that text to something else? Is there additional CSS code that will alter the text only on that page, but not others?

]]>Hi, we have two issues we cannot solve…
On our home page there are two pieces of pink text above and below the image carousel that are problems…
1)The text that begins with “Donating a box of cereal may seem like a small thing until you visualize that cereal making its way…”, we want that text to break between “cereal” and “making” so the two lines are more even.
1b) An even bigger problem is that although that text looks okay on desktops, it looks gigantic and takes up full screens on mobile. Do you have any advice on this? Is there a different method we should be using?
2) The heading & text carousel below the image carousel that says “Start a Cereal4all Drive like these amazing partners” and has names scrolling under it…for some reason it has a delay getting fixed webpage, like it takes a moment to settle into position (instead of being permanently fixed in place like everything else).
Can you tell why?

]]>Hi, we’re students trying to get our nonprofit’s website working properly, but we’re having a problem we can’t solve.
The small Featured Images on the News posts are blurry. We are sure the images we are choosing on the WordPress Dashboard in Posts are high resolution enough because we can see the file name and size in Dashboard, but we noticed that when we publish them and go into the website and right-click to open the images in a new tab, the images are now shrunken down tiny and blurry. We also noticed sometimes, those image file names are changed to include the word scaled.
Do you know why this is happening or what setting we need to adjust? The same chosen featured image isn’t affected when also used as the banner inside the News post, but only blurry in that Featured Image spot.
We’d be super appreciative for any help.

Hi, Google Search Console says the above link has mobile usability problem including text too small, clickable elements too close, content wider than screen.
This problem was ever met in my two old articles when I used WordPress Twenty-Seventeen. But once I changed to Qi Theme, no more problems. Then I just post this new article these days but problem occurs. May you please help? Thanks.
