my page is not loading correctly when published. in development it shows fine, biut when published it is not
]]>In customizing basic settings I select:
“Blog Full Width & no Sidebars”
But when I inspect the page I see this:
div class col-md-9 has width of 75% (where content is placed)
and this:
div class col-md-3 to the right of div above, with 25% width.
In other words. The full width of the blog is not used for the content, since there is an empty right colum present which takes 25% of the width.
I also use:
Page width:
“Smaller Width 1200px”
and have also tried:
“Full screen”
But both gives same result.
Is this a bug, or what?
What is the best way to get rid of the right column, and get at true “Blog Full Width”?
Hi – with the recent theme update, a setting on my website has changed and I can’t figure out how to fix it. This is the second time this has happened, but the first was so long ago that I can’t recall what was necessary to restore the color setting.
The line under each page title changed color. As you can see on this page link provided as an example of what is happening on all pages, the graphic line under the page title ‘Contact’ is now teal but it used to be the same color as the menu bar background – a shade of purple. Seems the default is teal and with the latest upgrade, it reverted. I can’t find where to change this setting or if it is a custom CSS, why did that disappear – and what would that css be? PLEASE HELP!
Once I upgraded to WordPress 5.9, the customizer for my Pure Simple Pro no longer works. When I go to customizer it is empty. I am using the Safari browser. In some other browsers it still does work, but I use Safari.

]]>Hello,
I was looking forward to the latest theme update in hope that this issue (of menu items with sub-menus disappearing from mobile version of the site) but this problem remains. I have gone beck to my previous fix of enabling “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin, then selecting “Legacy 1.12.4-wp” in the plugin config screen, but this is not ideal. Can you tell me if this issue of menus (with sub-menus) being hidden in mobile versions will be resolved?
Many thanks
On mobile devices, primary menu items with sub-items are not displayed.
An earlier thread on this subject has been marked as resolved, but I am experiencing the same problem with current versions. I’m using WP 5.8.1 with theme Pure and Simple 3.2.0 and, with or without, “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” 1.3.0, I still see this problem on mobile devices.
Can anyone recommend a workaround other than switching themes?
TIA.

Hope it will ..

If you look at the Network tool in your browser (e.g. press PF12. Then choose “Network”. Then refresh the page) or use a tool that shows the “waterfall” of all the things that are done when a page is visited, you will see that the wordpress page is loaded at the top…. and then a bunch of other stuff is loaded as per usual (e.g. the style sheets and images and javascript files).
… this ia all normal….
but then we see the wordpress page loaded AGAIN near the bottom. A second time. This is not normal and other themes do not do this. So pure and simple is slowing down webstes by doubling the amount of work that has be done to display a page.
For example you can try it on your demo page:
https://demo.styledthemes.com/demos/puresimple-free/
The waterfall shows that the first thing that is loaded is “/puresimple-free”
but then if you scroll down to the bottom you see that the third one from the bottom is also “/puresimple-free”. The same page again.
Since updated to wp 5.6 I got a weird problem:
I got a portfolio website which I made using the “pure” theme. it is hosted by ionos and is a wp managed (meaning that ionos takes care of the updates and so on…) The English version of the portfolio works as expected: all the images load fine and everything looks correct. However, on the Spanish page, none of the images would load. The only thing showing up, other than text are the links to two youtube videos.
I tried to delete the Spanish page, duplicate the English one (copy+paste from the English portfolio to the new page) but nothing works. I got installed jquery migrate plugin, which did not solve the issue. In the plugin setting I tried to use the legacy 1.12.4-wp jquery version, to no avail.
I got some “jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated” messages and also “jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated” message.
I am far from an expert in website developing. I just set up my website to promote myself so I find myself out of my depth here. I tried to look on the internet for any solution but it has been 2 days and I am still stuck. It is really important for me to fix this. Any help would be much appreciated at this point.
Wordpress has auto updated to 5.6 from 5.5.3 and now, not all top level mobile menus are seen. Have had to revert WP back to 5.5.3, and set WP to manual update. Please fix asap.
Thanks
Dear support team,
first of all: thanks a lot for this beautiful and versatile theme!
However, I found the following deprecated messages appearing with jQuery Migrate Helper:
1. jQuery.fn.scroll() event shorthand is deprecated (/wp-content/themes/pure-simple/js/global.min.js)
2. jQuery.fn.click() event shorthand is deprecated (/wp-content/themes/pure-simple/js/global.min.js)
Are you going to “correct” this in one of your next updates?
Thanks a lot
Best regards
Michael

While I appreciate that WordPress made a plugin to patch the issue of sub-menu items not appearing on a mobile device, I am wondering if you are going to update this theme so that this plugin (Enable jQuery Migrate Helper) is not needed.
Thanks!
Hello…
Is it possible to either remove (or move to the left side of the page) the button with the up arrow that scrolls the page to the top when it is clicked?
Thanks!

]]>I can set a custom header image or just a normal text header, which appears fine on normal browser size. But when in mobile size, or re-sizing the browser window right down, the header doesn’t fit on the whole page with the body; it only seems to re-size down to a certain point before cutting it off. Is there a minimum size set on the header? Can I change this?
Thanks
]]>Hello, I have a featured image set for each page (not post) and it didn’t used to show up on the page. But now it does. How do I remove it from the page without switching off the featured image completely?
I have already tried the following but they haven’t worked.
1. Checking the box under “Basic settings” in the customiser, that turns off featured image in the full post.
2. Adding the following CSS
.page .entry-thumbnail {
display: none;
}
I’m out of ideas. Can you help please?

Had someone implement changes to my site for faster speed. Now, new blog posts do not render correctly on mobile devices, they only appear on half the width of the page. New pages are fine; old posts are fine. It’s only happening on new blog posts.
Not sure if it’s the changes made or if I messed it up! Any help would be very greatly appreciated.
]]>I want the left sidebar menu to disappear (and show the mobile menu) as soon as the widget areas begin stacking. However the breakpoint seems to come too late, so on a tablet the very large menu appears above the other widget areas and the main page content. How do I fix this?
There is a password to view the site which I can provide. Also I’m not sure this is the place to post pro support questions.
]]>Bonjour,
href=”https://www.copyrightfrance.com/phtml/copyright.php”
target=”_blank”>
Pourriez-vous me dire comment faire ? Merci

Hello,
First of all, I congratulate and thank you for this wonderful theme.
I bought a Copyright and for it to be valid I must be able to display the logo at the foot of the page. Here is the line of code to insert:
<a title=” Site déposé sur CopyrightFrance.com ”
href=”https://www.copyrightfrance.com/phtml/copyright.php”
target=”_blank”>
Could you tell me how to do it? Thank you
]]>The following is a bug relating to the menu:
1) if the viewport is shrunk to a small size making the primary menu a collapsed toggle button, and if that toggle button is clicked so as to open the menu, AND THEN the viewport is resized to a greater width, the menu items display weird. This does NOT happen if the collapsible menu remains collapsed and then the viewport is resized to a greater width–in that case, everything looks normal.
2) the same bug thus also happens on mobile if one switches from portrait to landscape by turning their device. Note that the whole area the drop-down menu would take up also remains.

]]>Hello
Since upgrading my wordpress platform to the latest, my Blog page won’t work. I have:
1) made sure the static page for Blog in set in the Reading settings
2) checked the theme customise settings
3) made sure the categories are right
4) deactivated the plugins one by one to see if this was the problem, which it wasn’t
5) I have created a text post but this won’t show
Currently my blog shows just the feature image and the title of the last blog post. When I click on the title I am re-directed to another page just with the title.
I can’t seem to find a way that shows all my posts, with the information and read more. Any help would be appreciated.
