I got accused for GDPR violations in my website because the file jquery.mousewheel.min.js is loaded from cloudflare before the GDPR cookie consent popup.

These are my suggestions to overcome this issue:
Switch two lines 159 & 160 in file “profitmag/inc/profitmag-functions.php”:

wp_enqueue_script( 'mousewheel', get_template_directory_uri() . '/js/jquery.mousewheel.min.js', array('jquery'), '2.0.19', true );
wp_enqueue_script( 'mCustomScrollbar', get_template_directory_uri() . '/js/jquery.mCustomScrollbar.min.js', array('jquery'), '1.0.0', true );

Reason: mCustomScrollbar checks if mousewheel is loaded. in the original case it is not loaded yet so it will be reloaded via CDN.

so switching the two lines makes mousewheel load first so that the check in mCustomScrollbar does not cause a load via CDN.

It would be fine if you could add this change to the next theme update.

Hi there,

I am using the ProfitMag theme and have run into issues lately regarding the implementation of changes made to my CSS Stylesheet.

I think it may be possible that there is a secondary stylesheet loading ahead of the one I have written, but I’m unsure as to where to start.

Among the changes made in CSS to the content on the website currently are: new font (Segoe UI), larger single post content size, and newly defined (coloured, ordered, sized) “next page” markers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Today I noticed that names of comment authors are displayed with enclosing HTML tags. I analyzed site source text in browser and detected that HTML tag is converted to HTML syntax (see source code before div end tag):

</div>

I am not sure when this behavior arrived. Last update for this theme occured on Feb, 1th, 2019 – Version 3.0.1.

Is it possible that this theme is not 100% compatible with WordPress 5? My WP Version is the latest – 5.4.1.

Or is there a setting I can set to prevent this behavior?

Hi all,

I have accidentally deleted the files that host the miniature logos on site, meaning that users can no longer see icons across the user-dashboard (on site or in dashboard view), can no longer see any of the icons for “headings”, font colours, etc. in new posts, and so on.

Would anyone be able to send over their files for me to install on my FTP or suggest a fix.

How do I change the font size of the post titles in the “Recent Posts” widget *only*?

For example, I’d like the title of the post to be 16px, but the date underneath to remain 12px.

I’m looking to integrate my logo into either the area at the top of the screen where the social media links are found and the news ticker can be implemented (not implemented on my site) or, ideally, in the location the “home” logo currently occupies in the main menu. Is there a way to do this? If so, how can I go about doing it?

Since updating the theme to the latest version,

Instead of the homepage showing like it used to I get the following message displayed.

‘Thank you for choosing Profitmag
You are viewing this message because options of home page have not been setup.<br/> Please go to “Appearance >> Customize >> Theme Options >> Home Page Blocks” in admin panel to setup options.’

As you can see in the link provided, my Pages are duplicating the pagination feature (at the footer) so that it is displayed twice.

I would like it to only appear once.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do to find a fix for this?

The issue is not present in posts.

At the link provided, I’m finding I have issues with the slider aligning in both the main and mobile themes.

I’ve tried disabling plugins that have recently updated, checked the JS Slider code (which seems okay) and have cleared the site’s cache.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read about my issue.

As you can see at the link, the “next page” feature in the post is placed below the starbox author profile and the related content boxes. The page break is in the correct place in the article (using short code “<!–nextpage–>”) but I would like the “next page” feature to be placed above the author profile and related content boxes for better readability.

Would anyone be able to provide a fix for this?

As you can probably see from accessing my website, the homepage is no longer aligned correctly and the individual content pages are no longer loading with the correct style.

It would be great to get some help on the issue as I’m fairly new to this and haven’t found a fix elsewhere.

On my site, the font in the body of pages is very small. I changed the text in posts and made the size bigger but still it is a grey color (line 1936 in the CSS, I changed the size from 13 to 16). (The color is not a problem in pages though – the text is black.)

So basically I would like to
1) Make the font size bigger for “Pages” – the content or body.
2) Make the font black for “Posts”.

I haven’t updated my site in a few months but as soon as I got back I began all my updates. The site looked fine.

Now as you can see it looks broken. All I did was update all my plugins, themes, even WordPress itself.

On the homepage:

In the right sidebar and in the block lower down the page and in the footer – The font has all turned italic. I didn’t make this change, so i imagine it’s an error. How can i return the font to its normal state?

How do i add more than one image to the media gallery?

How can i remove dates from posts in the slider and right side images?

On a post page – how can i change the number of related posts next to the featured image to only 4 posts so it doesnt run too far below the featured image and push the article text down the page?

At the very bottom of a post page and above leave a reply there are lnks to two articles…what are they supposed to be …previous and next? If i want to remove this on all post pages how do i do it. (already has related articles above)

And finally – Im new to web building and i have built what you see so far in the main theme without creating a child. How do i revert the site so far over to a child so that i can continue to work without fear of losing anything later on when the theme is updated.

I recently analysed my website’s speed online and found that nearly 2 seconds of load time was wasted on trying to find menu-bg.png (the background for the menu, I presume?)

Hi,
I downloaded mo- und po-File for German to translate the fixed texts of this theme.
I customized it locally since there are missing translations and my translations were not confirmed until now.

I use the latest version 2.1.8 of this theme.

I found out that some texts are not translatable:
‘Leave a comment’
(since I added a translation for “Leave a comment” and it is not displayed). Maybe because it is a header line with capital letters?
‘Add comment’
(the only occurence is a hard-coded one in profitmag-functions.php, line 563)
‘WRITE SOMETHING…’
(a hardcoded placeholder in profitmag-functions.php, line 561)

Is it possible to add the translatable code to the next version you release in future? I don’t want to change this in theme editor since the next version you release will overwrite my changes again.

Hi,
my customer just informed me, that the customized logo is not visible anymore.
I went to Design/Themes/Header/Website-Information/Logo and there I still see the imported logo image. But it is not shown in the website.
I tried to reload it from media – no success.
I regarded “source” in browser and found that no logo-file is specified in HTML. Seems that it is not applied.

By default it displays 3 posts horizontally in landing page. i want to control. i only need to control horizontal. vertical is not important

I would like to add more than 6 posts to home page (without blocks).

I would like to display # of views on my posts. I see in single.php there is <?php profitmag_record_views(get_the_ID()); // Record post view ?> but the views are not showing on my posts. I’m not sure if at some point in the past maybe I deleted something that enables me to display the views, I don’t know. How can I display them on post pages?
