I just want my Social Media icons to display beneath the page links (ILLUSTRATION, CHARACTERS, etc…) at the bottom of the “Main Menu,” but I can’t figure this out.

I have tried everything: I’ve fooled around with the Menus and followed Organic Themes instructions for adding “Custom Links” that will auto-generate the icons then I placed them in the “Social Menu,” but nothing shows up. I tried using Custom Links in the Main Menu, and it just makes text links. I tried removing my “Metaslider” Carousel I added into the Header *.php code, but no change. The only thing I could get to show up was a “Social Icons” widget from Jetpack in the “Default Sidebar,” but I refuse to use it because it makes a second very wide menu to the right that squishes my site in between two menus only for a few small icons. I’ve also cleared my cache, and all my plugins, theme, browser, php, etc. are up to date.

Please is there anything I can do? A plugin I can install? Some code I can paste somewhere? I’ll try anything to get these icons to show up at the bottom of the Main Menu.

I’ve had only a little experience with style sheets and I’m having trouble figuring out how to change anything with the Portfolio Lite theme.

I have just a simple portfolio site with just a few pages. I need to modify the appearance here and there with changes to font point sizes & colors, alignment and column width. As an example, the text at the top of the Work page is too big and too pale…

I’ve tried making a few changes in the Portfolio Lite main style sheet (style.css), but it doesn’t seem to affect anything.

I am using newspaper (tagdiv) theme. Previouse it was right. Suddenly it does not show the header logo. It catch the alternative text. I try to several time reuploading the logo. But can able to fix. I did not able to find out what is the problem!!
Is there anyone who will help me to figure it out.

First of all, I would like to thank you for such nice theme. I am very glad to have found a clean and well diagramed theme. Im having only a little trouble with it, because in posts the mobile menu is showing as “undefined”. I added the navigation menu to the sidebar widget, but they are not visible for posts pages. Is there anything I can do to make the menu visible for mobile menu?

The menu is displayed as ‘undefined’ when viewed while on a post. It is otherwise displayed correctly when viewed while on a category page.

Any help fixing this would be great.

I followed your instruction to make blog posts as in the demo, with a Blog catergory, but it doesn’t work. It keeps showing posts in a gallery style.

I’m trying to put a video into the header image/video section. I’ve had a photo in there and it worked perfectly. However when I link to a video or put a video in it, even when it’s to the specifications (2400 x 1600), it seems to drop it a massive amount so it is cut off, and doesn’t even show up on mobile or tablet. Any ideas?

Does that work for anybody here? It won’t work for me with the latest WP version. The post will only display the featured image and the gallery in the body below. If I don’t set a featured image, the whole header section with featured image and post details are not displayed and the postfolio page only shows a random preset image.

Does anybody use a slideshow on a post that is featured on a portfolio page? And if so, how did you achieve that?

Creating Slideshows
A page using the Gallery Slideshow page template will display the first WordPress image gallery as a slideshow.

Navigate to Pages > Add New.
Enter a Page Title.
Under Page Attributes on the right, choose the Gallery Slideshow template.
Click the Add Media button.
Click the Create Gallery link on the left.
Upload and/or select the images for your slideshow.
Click the blue Create a new gallery button.
Click the blue Insert gallery button.
Publish the page.

just upgraded to 1.4 version of this beautiful theme, and i read in changelog this:
“Added jQuery for double click submenu parents”

but it doesnt apply on the main menu. i dont see something different in the HTML, after the upgrade of the theme. any leads how to fix the menu to resemble the one in the demo?

I have a problem with single-post. All theme settings are working but single post page not responsive only mobile.

My posts don’t show when you click on them. Instead, you get this message:

No Results Found

It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching will help.

For some reason when I try to edit the “style.css” page I get this error “Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over https://FTP.” I cannot update the page when I make a change and click Update file to the “style.css” page. I just want to be able to edit the code to make the page more customizable and change the letting, tracking, color, and kerning of typography as well as padding and add css animations. Is this because I don’t own the theme?

I am trying to replicate the demo site where the slideshow shows images without any text, properly aligned but the alignment is not as perfect as the demo site and the text is author name and post name is appearing on the image. How do I get rid of that? Is it a different widget used on the homepage for the slideshow? Please help.

I’ve found that my posts and my products lose the main menu on the left when you go to their individual pages. I saw in the support forum that someone asked about this in the past and the answer was to make sure the navigation menu widget was included in the Blog Sidebar settings. I did this and it doesn’t appear. I deactivated other widgets to see if they were causing the problem. No change.

I also don’t have the option on my widgets page to edit widgets for particular pages. The only two things that show up editable are Default Sidebar and Blog Sidebar.

In addition to my posts each showing the main menu on the left, I want my products from WooCommerce to do the same. When you click on the product right now, its page is full width and the left-side menu is gone.

I want the main sidebar menu on the left to be visible on every page. I don’t need the blog posts or products to be full width. I prefer the consistent look of the main menu always being present on the left.

Is this a glitch or not an option in the Lite version, made available in the Premium? Is there custom CSS that I can employ to get the result I desire? I can’t afford $69/yr for Premium, so hopefully there’s a workaround for Lite.

Thanks for the awesome minimalist theme! but may I know if the drop-down menu feature could be activated at all in the lite version? This feature has always been helpful to organise the navigation menu but it does not seem to be compatible with the theme currently. Looking forward to hearing from ya!

I have a strange problem with the main menu that I can’t seem to figure out:

When I’m on my “About” page, I can’t click on any of the other menu items. If I use the page to scroll down, click somewhere else to get on a different page, then the menu items work again. As far as I can see it’s only on this one page where the menu is not responding.

Does anyone have any idea why this is?

I’m a bit rusty since it has been years since I maintained a wp site.

I’m helping someone upload images and noticed that the image thumbs on the category/portfolio pages fail to show even tho they load. I know they are properly loaded bc when you resize the width of the browser down, it shows all the images once it is in a single column. But for some reason, when the browser is resized to a width typical of laptop the images that shift over into the second or third column suddenly disappear from view. I notice this on all the portfolio pages, whether its humor or business or any other page.

Please note: I wasn’t able to add a new project at first. I suspected it was because wordfence was saying I was operating on a very old and unsupported version of php. However when i logged into the hosting, it says i was on php7. when I returned to wordpress, suddenly i was able to add new projects. not sure if this is relevant but this bug didn’t appear until after this incident.

Hi, I love your theme and it seems perfect for what I want to do.

I am still very new to building a website. I am trying to just put in the main image on the homepage. I uploaded the image I want and it shows up in “customizing header image”, but does not show up on the website. I don’t know why this is happening. When I was setting up the pages, I noticed there were 3 different “home” pages. I might have deleted the wrong one? The home page I have now is just the website name so I don’t know why it would go anywhere else. It still looks like the same setup with the menu on the left and name above.

I am curious to know if it’s possible to change the background color of the navigation menu, so that it’s not the same as the main body.

Also, is it possible to sticky the menu as well?
