Hi thank you for reading this. I have a problem getting my website view-able on smartphones.
The images on my website will not shrink to fit the mobile screen. I tried using some plugins like Adaptive Images for WordPress but did no solved the problem. I use the Poloray Pro Responsive ThemeVersie: 1.3.1

I had to reinstall the Poloray theme after a Parser error and now the home page appears, but I can’t add any pages. The old ones have a 404 error and any new ones I try to create have the same.

Hi,

I’m creating a child theme for Poloray (the free version) and I need to change some of the description text for the logo and the top feature image settings in the WP Customizer.

The description text is contained in the functions\customizer.php file.

I’ve done quite a bit of reading up on this but have come to a stand still as there seems to be very little documentation on how to override a parent theme’s Customizer options.

I tried uploading functions\customizer.php to my child theme and making the edit in there, but it does not override the parent options.

But got stuck as my understanding of the php being used is a little beyond my current knowledge so any help is greatly appreciated!

How to I change my mobile “home” page to my HOME page!!!

I have gone to Setting -Reading then selected the page that I want to show… problem is I want it to show the same home page as it would if you were browsing via PC.

Is this possible?

I do not know anything about codes, I would like to remove the “read more” buttons on the 4 features on the front page (which does not show up on my pages menu).

I am using the POLORAY theme.

I am having issues with the “home page tagline feature area”.

My description box is no longer showing for me to input copy into, when I am in the Feature 4 area, it actually is editing the copy of Feature 3. Help! I can edit the title and image in Feature 4, but the description I put in there shows up in Feature 3 area. HELP!

I’m the developer of Max Mega Menu. When it’s enabled for the main menu, the ID on the <div> that wraps the menu is changed from ‘menu’ to ‘mega-menu-wrap-custom_menu’.

This is causing a JavaScript error when ddsmoothmenu is initialised, and in turn it stops the max mega menu mobile menu from functioning.

I was wondering if you could make a change in the custom.js file to fix this:

I have uninstalled and re-installed the Poloray theme, and the sidebar is pushed below the page content still. On the home page, there is a sidebar space when it should be a full width template. Suggestions?

I’m using Poloray and after updating wordpress, I now find that the 3rd and 4th Feature area are not working correctly. When I go to Appearance, Customize, then choose the Home Page Feature Area, then choose the Third Feature ARea, the Description box is missing altogether. When I choose the Fourth feature Area, that has the Third FEature area description, which I can change but there is no where now to change the Fourth Feature Area description. Please help!

Just updated to 1.2.4 on my test setup and the theme loses all my settings: the title goes back to the default colours, the logo disappears and everything.

Doubly annoying because I run a child theme version, so it REALLY shouldn’t happen.

Why does the update lose my settings?

This is more a CSS formatting question than anything related to the theme but hope someone can help.

I find that there is too much space wasted between container_24 and grid_24 and i would like to have the text in grid_24 closer to container_24. I have tried playing around with margins and padding and not found what I was looking for. Hoping someone can help. My site is https://www.mathurasri.com/

I changed the home page color, but when I click on the other pages there is a title bar that is the same as the original theme color. I need this to match our logo. Can someone please help me with the CSS to change that particular color?

I really like this theme and the blog template. For each page, I would like the posts to have only certain category posts display as blogs. Not sure how to go about doing that. For example.. in my website https://www.mathurasri.com under positive lifestyle I want only positive lifestyle posts to appear on there and not all other posts. For each page I want only that category of posts to appear.

I set up a website about 18 months ago using the Poloray theme. I have not logged in or viewed the site for some months. When I viewed it today, it had an error “Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home2/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/ap3-installer/ap3-installer-core.php on line 58.”

I am also unable to log in an administrator. I get more error messages as follows: “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/ap3-installer/ap3-installer-core.php:58) in /home2/xxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxx.com/wp-login.php on line 368”

In footer.php there is a comment that it can be changed through widgets. And indeed I see 4 footer widgets in Appearance -> Widgets.

However it seems that you cannot change the content of those four widgets, only through editing footer.php.

Using Poloray lite. Is there a way to delete some of the social media icons in the footer?

HELP!! I just noticed my Poloray themed site loses half its content in Chrome. When I go to a subpage and return home, it’s fine. Then if I refresh, it loses info again.

Works fine in Safari and FireFox. What is going on????

I am using the Poloray Theme and I think it is a great theme. However, I ran into a few problems when I installed the WPML translation plugin on my site. This plugin helps to manage translation pages on my website. I would like to assign a different template (.php file) to my translation pages. Somehow, this is not working with Poloray. I activated it in the plugin settings and it works fine with other themes so I think the Poloray theme does not allow the plugin to manage templates of pages. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or has an idea how to solve this problem?

I already contacted the plugin support but they think it is a theme-related problem.

Hello, I have two issues on my site https://www.northstarnp.com . They should be easy to fix once I find the files to change…..

1. I would like to override the 300x90px size of the “poloray logo” on the home page and can’t locate the .php file to modify it in. I hope that making it larger will make the text more crisp and easier to read.

2. I would also like to set max and min widths for the image in the “Top Feature Image” in hopes of keeping it from distorted appearances on overly large and small viewing screens. I thought it must be in the .css file but could not locate it there or in any other .php file.

Anyone able to point me in the correct path for either or both of these mods?

Following the advice under “How to make the featured images on the homepage clickable?” here in the Poloray support thread, I successfully updated the “front-page.php” file under my child theme made the 4 buttons clickable and link to their respective pages. (Thank you for the instructions.)

In doing so, the 4 unique media images loaded and assigned to the 4 circles all changed to the image used in the first circle – the result can be seen at https://www.northstarnp.com

I returned to the “front-page.php” file and updating each links reference of
wimg1 to become wimg2, wimg3, wimg4 however that resulted in grey circles without any images.

Any suggestions out there?
