Hello,
I’m new to wordpress. Try to search on google but I found no answare.
I’m creating a new site WP with Pique theme.
I try to set up header logo as mention in the documentation and demo page, but logo will not appeare.
To be more specific, this is what I wont to accomplish:
I try a fresh new installation with no plugin, same result.
Can someone help me?
Thanks.
Simone.
Hello,
The text in the Title that gets wrapped in the square breaks: “PORTFOLI – O OF – GORGEOU – S HAIR” and “INTRODU – CING THE – HAIR – ARTISTS”.
The break happens on mobile devices (not tablet). How do I fix this?
ADD: This issue is happening on my Pixel 7. Wifey’s iPhone 11 presents better (both on Chrome), but the one Title is still broken: “INTRODUCIN – G THE HAIR – ARTISTS” (the “G” is on the next line). Seems like a zoom thing? Or a font size thing? Thank you.
I’ve managed to put in the CSS for 100% black for the menu background and for the footer. However, I’m struggling to get the header background to be 100% black, its showing as a very dark brown (see page link). Any help much appreciated. Cheers.
I’m trying to remove the page title but keep the title in the menu.
However, the menu title then reverts to an automatically generated placeholder title (#564) when the actual title is hidden. Is there anyway around this? I don’t want the page title of my shop (and others) to show that text above the start of the page, but obviously want the word ‘shop’ to be in my main menu bar.
Hello there,
Is it possible to create a multilingual website using the Pique theme? I tried the Polylang plugin, but I couldn’t figure out how to assign the pages in the second language to the panels on the main page.
Thank you very much for any help!
We set the page/panel title (H2 entry title) to 40px using CSS. When viewing the home page on a mobile phone, the titles for the panels are not wrapping. Instead they extend off the screen. All other text and headings are mobile responsive. Is there something we can input into CSS to make sure the page/panel titles wrap on mobile devices?
Hello,
I am new to WordPress and I am attempting to remove the space on the left and right of the page. On my mobile device and tablet the website looks normal. However, on my desktop there is too much space on the left and right side. How can I remove?
I’m trying to add Testimonials to my site, but I can’t figure out how. The theme’s instructions (found here: https://wordpress.com/theme/pique) say to go to My Site > Testimonials > Add new, but I don’t have an option for that. I click the link for testimonials right under the heading for Testimonials Template, but the directions are for WordPress.com, which I’m not using. And, the options there don’t apply to my site (there is no content type options).
Please help.

Any idea where to put site logo?
Hi,
I am having an issue with the custom links in the menu.
Whenever I am trying to add a custom link in the main menu, it doesn’t show.
Please let me know if there is any way I can fix this issue.
Also, would like to know if there is a version of Pique theme that is AMP compatible.
WordPress keeps on reminding me that Pique doesn’t support AMP. So was curious.
Thanks
Prashant

Hi there ??
I have logo or site title not displaying on mobile view at the top for Home Page.
Please can you help me with css code to make it appear or any other way to make it appear as I have all set up in customizer
Is there a way to keep the site logo feature but disable the animation on hover? Client initially liked this effect but now hates it and wants the logo to remain static even when hovered over.
We love this Theme (Pique Café) and don’t really want to have to find a new (similar) Theme, this is the *only* aspect of this Theme they don’t like. We only use Jetpack to enable the site logo, without it there is no option to customize/display a site logo.
From culling thru some other support requests on this Theme I found a mention of the CSS that scales the size, I removed that from the stylesheet but it had no effect on the hover animation.
I know I can simply photoshop all the post/page featured images to include the logo, but that’s far from ideal as it’s a lot of work to do every time they want to upload a new featured image, and if they ever change the logo all images would need changing.
If there is simply a script that handles the animation that I can de-register in a Child Theme functions.php file I can do that, just need a bit of guidance.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
How to Remove Previous and Next Link from a Blog Post?
I tried lots of CSS from various thread, but none of those work for me. Need help to remove Previous and Next Link from Blog Post
The images that I’ve set as featured images of the front-page panels are out of proportion on iPad screens. They are scaled way too big so that only a tiny portion of the image is shown and appears blurry/pixelated.
See the screenshot here.
It happens only on the iPad, not on desktop or iPhone.
What I’ve tried is to set background-size
to contain
@media (max-width: 767px) and (min-width: 415px) {
.pique-panel-background {
background-size: contain;
}
}
but while I see this having an effect in the tablet preview of the WordPress customizer it has no effect to how it looks on an actual iPad after I publish the page.
Any suggestions highly appreciated!
Hey people,
I have an activity based business and have just started using Pique as it’s a gorgeous theme. An issue I’ve come up against is this:
I am opening a second location and each location operates slightly differently and there fire I would essentially need two pages – one for each location – can I have two multi-panel pages?
I’ve done a fair amount of searching to no avail so I just wanted confirmation of whether it’s doable or not.
———
I had an idea that may work?
This would potentially cost an absolute fortune, but is this going to be the only way?
– One ‘free’ landing page giving a link to each location.
– One paid for site with panels for location #1
– Another paid for site with panels for location #2
Is this really the only way to do it?
Thank you!
I have a quick question concerning font weights.
I have the Google Fonts plugin installed and use “Montserrat” as my main font.
In the Typography panel of the Customizer, I can select any font weight from 100 up to 900 as general paragraph font.
Since I have selected 300 there, I wanted to change the weight of
text spans as well, and make it slightly less “strong”, which I have (sort of) accomplished through the following Custom CSS:
body:not(.pique-frontpage) .entry-content strong {
font-weight: 500;
}
However, as I was playing around with settings, I noticed that not all weights are possible to select:
100, 200, and 300 all don’t have any effect on how the text is displayed,
400 makes it slightly bolder, but 500 looks exactly the same as 400,
and then 600 and above are yet bolder but, there’s no difference between them (i.e., 900 looks exactly the same as 600).
So I assume something here is overriding something else, but I have no clue what.
Is this something about the Pique theme, that restricts the possible font weights?
Is this some setting in Google Fonts plugin?
Or maybe something about the Montserrat font?
When adjusting the number for the general default in the customizer, each value gives different output – so I know the font has these different weights …
If anyone has an idea, I would appreciate some help where the problem might lie, and if it’s not about Pique, maybe someone has a suggestion for the appropriate forum where I should be asking this question … Thanks much!
I could use some further help with my logo/header, which, after some customizations doesn’t properly resize on mobile and tablet.
I’ve modified the size of the logo like this:
/* Logo */
@media screen and (min-width: 768px) {
.site-branding .site-logo-link img {
max-height: 110px !important;
}
}
I have also reduced the size of the header with this code:
/* Header */
.site-header {
height: 220px !important;
}
(this affects all pages except for the front page)
Unfortunately, while on the front page (https://jandavidhauck.com), the logo properly resizes on mobile and tablet, on the other pages (see for example here https://jandavidhauck.com/publications-2/) the logo becomes super tiny. Also on mobile, the height of the header is too large (I presume because it forces it to be 220px?)
See here two screenshots
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pn29wdhsoex13em/mobile.png?dl=0
How can I make sure that both logo size and header height get adjusted for mobile and tablet similar to how they do on the home page?
I could use some further help with some customization of text and titles in the Pique theme. (I hope it’s ok to put several questions in the same post, but they are all somewhat related.)
First, is there a way to control the appearance of the title of a page as it appears on that page (not as part of the panels on the front page)?
It seems that page titles are displayed as H1, so they do take the settings for font etc. from the typography panel in the customizer. However, there are some things that don’t seem possible to customize here, for instance, I would like to display them centered on each page and the customizer doesn’t seem to have that option.
Then, on the front page, each panel title takes the formatting for H2 level and appears with this nice white border, which remains open on the bottom. Is there a way to replicate this border (in the respective font color) for H2 headings on other pages as well?
Also on the front page, text sections are displayed in white text on the dark image background. To make the text more visible, I would like to add a half transparent dark background to the text. I know I can add a background to the text block directly in the page editor, but I can’t make that semi-transparent. Also, for pages that have the grid template, it’d be great if each of the grid headings would also be included in that background.
Lastly, is there a way to change the background color of pages? It seems to be a creamy white, with a little bit of transparency. But I couldn’t find anywhere to change it.
Any help much appreciated!
Hello, I have an issue similar to this one that the logo I set in Site Identity doesn’t show up. Using the Pique theme with static front page and anchor menu.
I am able to select an image file as logo from the media library, but once I publish it or even when I refresh the preview, it disappears. It still displays the file in the Customization > Site Identity section, but not on the website. There is a slightly larger space above the menu, which makes me think that it’s still there but just doesn’t show the image. I tried with different images but to no avail.
Also changed the home page to a new empty page, in which case I could set the logo again, and it showed up in the preview again but disappeared again upon publishing.
Any help how to fix this much appreciated.
(On a side note, while previewing, i.e., before publishing, I also still experience the bug that has been reported here, that the logo changes size … in my case it flickers and becomes super small. So clearly something else wrong with the logo as well.)
Hi,
I am using the Pique theme for quite some time. I am trying to add a slideshow to my home page. The page url where I am trying to add the slideshow is https://www.contentspotlight.org/our‐esteemed‐services.
After adding the images and updating it I do find that the slideshow is working properly in mobile but disappearing most of the times when I open the url from any laptop/PC. I am forced to add images in a gallery because of this issue but I strictly want to add it as slideshow. Is there any way to fix the problem in laptop/desktop

Is this a bug in safari or the theme?

Hi!
A managed to give my main menu background color using this code:
.menu {
background: #734222;
}
The next thing I want to do is to give the menu borders, so that the background color does not reach the edges of the page, only the edges of the menu items (from ‘Talajtár’ to ‘Rólunk’).
Can anybody help me with this issue?
Best regards
Sort of a difficult to replicate problem, but when I click to any and all internal pages (I believe specifically when I use ‘Open Link in New Tab’ in Chrome) the top of the page where the menu is displayed becomes uber stretched out sometimes.
Screencaps of the problem (showing it stretching more than the height of my screen) can be seen here:
https://ibb.co/Ct5Qzkf
https://ibb.co/T0b973w
As far as I can tell if I don’t ‘open in new tab’ this problem doesn’t really occur and then it looks as it should: https://ibb.co/ZgKjw3K
The problem usually goes away on refresh, and seems to occur only when the loading tab is not being viewed (If the page loading is visible, it doesn’t seem to happen), if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello,
I have started creating a WordPress site with Pique theme. The site is pretty simple with maybe 3 to 4 pages. I want the look and feel of one site to scroll trought, and when clicking on a menu link on top of the page you scroll down to this section accordingly. (Just like the example).
So far so good, all this works. However I now have a background for my frontpage, and when scrolling down the background disappears to black.
Is is possible to create a static background of our logo, so that when scrolling the text/images move up and down, but the background images remains the same from the frontpage to the last page?
I have taken a screenshot of what I would like it to be, however at the time of posting this question I don’t see a way of posting this.
Also is it possible to change the highlighted color of the menu? When I scroll down my test site the color of the page to which I scrolled is still the beige default color.
Hi I am having trouble with the headings on the menu. When I click on it, it will only show on the homepage, instead of opening in a new page. For example, if I click on ‘About’, instead of opening in a new page, nothing happens, but the ‘About’ section appears at the bottom of the homepage. Same happens with all the other menu headings. Where in the settings can I change this? Please help me, will greatly appreciate.
Hi, I’ve got the logo showing up in the “site identity” section, but it’s not showing up on the page anywhere at all.
And to make sure I’m even asking the right question: Is the logo going to show up above the top menu, meaning that no matter how far down a user scrolls, they will always see the logo above the menu?
Thank you!!!
