Hi, when you hover over a thumbnail on my home page, you see a small blue box appearing (usually this shows the date, which I do not need), just above the title of that thumbnail. I would like to get rid of that blue little box. Does anybody know how to do this? I assume a custom CSS would be the solution?

Hi, even though Jetpack is installed and active (latest version) we’re getting the admin warning: “The?Jetpack plugin?is necessary to use some of this theme’s features, including: Featured Content (no specific module needed), Portfolios (Custom Content Types module), Content Options (no specific module needed). Please install Jetpack by WordPress.com.”

I would like that in the grid of the initial page, when mouseover the image instead of showing the date, it shows the category of the post. How can I do it?

I am creating new categories for some of our offerings – e.g. events (https://swimquest.uk.com/category/events/). I would like the posts which appear in these new category pages NOT to be automatically added to the homepage too. Is there a way to acheive this?

Ideally, I would be looking to create an events ‘square’ on the homepage, which when clicked, links through to https://swimquest.uk.com/category/events. I am happy to have the grid layout on both the homepage and the events page.

I would just be able to use https://www.swimquest.uk.com/events?

as you can see on my sitemenu I want to seperate it into two sections.

The Homepage should act as carousel of my newly posted pictures and I would like to introduce a blog section,
a page which shows my latest posted blog posts (can be differentiated by tags or categories) in a different style than on the homepage.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Hi all,

we have adjusted the content and as a result would like the number of columns in the landing page grid to be 3 instead of the default 4. (This looks really neat with the larger images, by the way, and might be a future theme option?) Is there any way to adjust this now? Of course it would be simple to pick a 3 column theme but I have tried a lot of themes and this is my favorite! I would hate to have to drop it because of this.

Also, I need to use ‘Raleway’ font in 500, 700 and 900 BOLD. I installed Google Fonts and it does recongize the font, but it won’t let me assign the boldness level.

My header is not centering properly, and there is padding at the edge of the page which shouldn’t be there. I installed the theme, Jetpack, and imported posts from a wordpress.com site where everything looked fine. It is at

In the WordPress Customizer I chose a Background Image and when I hit “Publish” all images on the sliders and boxes disappeared. I was quickly able to recover all Slider images by reinstaling the Feature Image for each slider–no problem. But doing the same for the 12 post boxes below the sliders did nothing–there are no images, only boxes in different shades of blue. The content and functionality within the 12 posts is still there when I click on any of the boxes, but I can’t get the Featured Images to show on the boxes. Is there something that’s overriding them? Thanks in advance for your advice.
(I don’t know if this is relevant, but no tags or categories have been established for the 12 posts, but they were imaging perfectly before.)

I guess another option would be inserting an image linked to that category, but I don’t know how to do that.

When I updated to the latest version of WP, the size of my headings changed (they are now much larger than they were). Is there a way to reduce the size of these using CSS, to make them slightly smaller than they are currently?

On the Pictorico theme, I am having an issue where when you click the “Older Posts” button on the home page it displays the 1st 12 posts again. If you click “Older Posts” a second time, then it takes you the the next 12 posts. Any help in solving this would be appreciated.

On the destinations page, I had created a custom menu to call/link specific posts; ie. posts with europe tag and so on. Next to it is a content slider with just pics running and I want to do the same callout when it’s clicked. If i refer to it with the html id&class info, could I do that?
Also, when the link of custom menu doesn’t contain anything, there’s a standard “nothing found” message with a search box appearing underneath. I want to change the message as it’s misleading people and thought as an error, and lose that search box as I already have one at the footer cause in that case the page has two search boxes.

A friend of mine, with chrome 61.0.3163.100 has such a problem that when he clicks destinations and then europe, which is actually a menu that provides posts with europe category. It’s strange because I had the same version and no problem, what else can we look for? Also, i’m told, the same prb on mobile nexus 6p, chrome 61.0.3163.98. Homepage posts are ok but not the ones in the menu I created, they seem like a blank post, two blue boxes, no links nothing.
