I am trying to create a custom post page to e.g. change the wording from “Previous post” to “Previous painting”, hide the author and date and category info, use the full width template, include a list of other bespoke content links, etc…

I created a child theme, so how do I go best about it?

Is it possible to insert a shortcode underneath the Main Menu in the header? I would like to put an audio player there in hopes that it won’t refresh when I select a new page (as I’ve noticed the menu doesn’t appear to). If this will work, do I just insert the shortcode into the header.php file (child theme of course)?

Where exactly should I put it in the header.php file, and how do I force the shortcake to execute when inserted in a template?

Now that I have been able to customize PhotoStory with your built-in options, I am really happy with the theme. I have a few questions.

1. I would like to update to version 1.1.4, but I need to know if I update the theme within WordPress will I lose any of my settings? I don’t want to lose anything migrating, or have to start over. Can I update PhotoStory as you release new versions without worrying about losing anything?

2. I saw the feature list of the premium version, but it looks like the free version offers a lot of what the premium version has already. I am interested in it. What are some of the most notable differences? One thing I may want to do is change the font title to a picture, but I’m not sure how it will work with mobile or how to do this.

3. When viewing my web-site on a desktop, the title displays correctly. When viewing my web-site on a mobile browser, the title is cut-off in the middle of words. You can see what I mean here: Can I edit something to keep this from happening?

Hello,

I got my WordPress running at https://www.themarkofthebeastmanual.com , and it displays correctly on a desktop. However, when viewed on an Android mobile browser, the menu in the top-left does not display, and there is no way for anyone to view all of the site’s content. I don’t think I have Jetpack installed, and everything appears to be updated. I have not done anything extra to add mobile support. What can I do?

I’m pretty new to wordpress and I’m using the Photostory template. I’d like to learn how to move tags, categories, author and all that junk from the top of my posts to the bottom. If anyone can walk me through I’d very much appreciate it. Explain it like you’re teaching a chimpanzee.
