I have been looking through thousands of pages on my paid element subscription for a wordpress theme that I loved the last 48 hours or more. I have found 4 however I have not been able to get them to fully upload into the WP themes without any bugs. I am a big newbie, designing my first page for my dads business and it seems I bit off more than I could chew. Luckily, I have found Overlay and the Simplistic child theme to wow me. I did not think I would find anything that I really liked within WordPress, but I was very wrong. I just couldn’t attempt another uploading bust.
All newbies should just start out with a WP theme from within WP. There is no telling if a custom theme downloaded is up to date with all the necessary components.

I must have tested out two dozen themes or more. I wanted a minimalistic theme with some very specific customizations. I found it with Overlay. I am immensely impressed with Overlay’s visual customization and the fact that it works as a responsive design without issue. I’m also really impressed with the sheer breadth of social media links it lists.

I needed to update an old website, but incrementally. I need to keep kind of an old fashioned sidebar layout while I get some other things updated. Most of the other sidebar themes were clunky, but the non-sidebar themes would have taken too much redesign for now.
Overlay is giving me a beautiful, clean sidebar layout with minimal work from my previous theme. It’s so flexible! Once I get everything moved over (and it won’t take long), I can modernize.

I am very impresses with the Overlay theme. We are using it for our doctor’s office and I am personally doing the website which is not really my day job, but I love all things creative.
