I’m using the Openstrap theme with a child theme. Apparently the Posts Page uses the default template. That being the case, I don’t have access to Page Attributes where I would select the “Full Width” Template

How do I get rid of the Widget?

My clients like the front page slider, but are frustrated that they can only select pages for the button link. Is there an easy way to update this so they can also select posts, or a custom URL, for the button?

Can’t edit the Blurb section when i put in code in Additional CSS. I try the .front-page-blurb .lead and .front-page-blurb h1 tag but i dont see changes

Please change the code in openstrap_excerpt, it will cause the excerpt show before JSON output.

I’m really liking this theme, but have only one issue. The Tag Cloud widget is not added to the sidebar as a proper widget, and darned if I can find the code where it’s generated. When I apply styling to my widgets to set spacing or title styles, it affects all widgets but the tag cloud — the result looks unprofessional. Also, the spacing around the tag cloud is poor. Finally, the tag cloud title will not display. I’m not sure what is up, but it seems this theme is overriding the stock tag cloud feature in WordPress and I’d rather not bloat my site with a custom plugin. Anyone have any success getting this thing properly deployed so it has a proper widget class and styles?

I installed the “Openstrap” theme and can’t for the life of me figure out how to get rid of the “Hello World” text with the “Get in touch” button. It is not a post, nor is it a page, and I can’t see any widget that has this content.

Can someone please steer me into identifying where this content is located and how to eliminate it?

I have install Openstrap 1.0.8 working is fine but client requirement we create pop from side for contact us info we install SuperSlider-Login.But Openstrap slider The header image keeps closing and opening.it menace conflict JQuery.Please help this issue

Every time I try to update the changes on a page I receive the message that the page cannot be found =/ But the old page appears on the site just fine.

hey guys been using this theme for awhile and loving it

the only problem im having is my website looks odd in mobile view. The content area works fine but the header and footer shrink in size and look funny.

Also how do i disable the default zoom in on a mobile device? id like to zoom out and just have it as a standard page in mobile view.

I’m using Openstrap with a child theme, Can anyone tell me how to show Last Updated Date instead of date when the post/page was created?

Text should be like – Last updated on June 21, 2015.

I’m having a hard time finding the code in the css file to make the font size of the main navigation menu (the black bar under the logo) smaller. I’d also like to change the amount of space between the lines – is that being determined by the search box? Should I change the size of that?

We have been using this theme for some time now but randomly the homepage is no longer working. When I look at the front-end output of the homepage, the HTML code just stops randomly after the header. Below are the last 2 lines of code on the homepage. No changes have been made on the website. It just randomly stopped.

I’ve enabled the OpenStrap Social Icon Box Widget in the Header Right. I checked all the Social Media icons i want, and put in the links, but nothing shows. If i put in header txt for the widget it will show, but none of the icons show.

What am i doing wrong?

I’ve added multiple menu headers with sub menu pages, but when i go hover over them in the navigation menu, it does nothing. If i click on the menu item it will go to that, but it will not show a drop down for the sub menu items.

IS there any way i can fix this? I on wordpress 4.2 using the 1.0.9 version of the theme.

Hi,
I set a static page in the template to have the same result such as template demo.
So, the problem is that setting a static page, left and right sidebar are not showed. While, if I set the default style, sidebar are showed.
I think I must to edit some condition such as is_home() but I foudned this if-condition only in 3 page of the template but without success.
How can I solve this issue?

The built-in slider for the front page works perfectly on my desktop, but when I use my mobile, the responsive nature doesn’t work. The, albeit few, words that I have on each slider get cut off or hid on a mobile, and I want to know if others have had this problem as well – and what to do about it.

Alternatively, I don’t mind grabbing a new plugin for responsive sliders, but I’m not sure where to put it. I tried one plugin using a shortcode on my “Home” Page but nothing showed up.

Help?

When I select the Front Page With Slider Template I lose all the content I have written if I choose another template my content shows.

Any ideas?

You latest update, does not work well – for some reason the pictures I place in the header section do not show on the site. You can see them here but when you publish it does not show?

Am I doing something wrong? My developer who is very good a wordpress said it was broken as it should work.

Please advise if this can be fixed or I have to go back to earlier version.

Everyone is raving about the Captain Typekit plugin but it doesn’t seem to work with Openstrap Child Themee. Anyone have any suggestions on using Typekit with Openstrap?

The social icons, phone # and email do not show up in the mobile version – iPhone. If I reduce the size of my web browser (Safari), the information disappears and increasing the size makes them re-appear. Is this the normal behavior or are there plans to fix it?

Hello, how can I hide the header page only in content-sidebar page?

When I click on the minimized menu nothing happens. The menu doesn’t open. Also I would like to control when the minimized menu appears. It should only appear for my site at the 320px or 480px size. I need to show the client tomorrow and launch the following day so any immediate help is greatly appreciated.
