The (left) footer text on my website has disappeared… when I changed my theme temporarily to a different one, the footer text appeared, but when I changed it back to Omega it was still missing.

I need help, the mobile menu isn’t showing up properly when used. It used to be clean, visible, and scrollable on the right side of the screen and for some unknown reason, it now shows up small, unscrollable, and incomplete on the left side of the screen. What can I do to resolve this matter? Please note that I have made no changes to my site in weeks yet this happened. I do not know code BTW. Thank you in advance!

I found out that while using The Events Calendar plugin by Modern Tribe with the Omega Theme by ThemeHall, the month view doesn’t work properly on mobile. It shows the event title + dot, even though it should show just a dot.

This issue is fixed when switching to next/prev month, so it is present only when loading/refreshing the page or selecting a month view from the list of views.

I know that resolving plugin conflict issues is probably out of scope of this free support forum, but I wanted to give it a try anyway. Maybe there is a simple solution to this.

P.S.: I can’t share the website link unfortunately, but the issue I mentioned is universal, so if you have a chance to try the plugin yourself, you will see the problem described.

Whenever I am on my mobile device (android phone) and I press the menu button, it just reloads my home page before a can navigate anywhere. It shows the menu items for a second then just reloads. Trying to navigate anywhere is impossible. This is affecting my user experience tremendously. Please help.

PS I do not know code. Also, I have made no changes to anything so the problem isn’t my doing. Please help

Is there a way to make posts display differently according to date posted? I would like to edit my theme to make my main content wider than it is now, but I don’t want to mess up the display of any posts older than today. So, I’d like posts dated prior to today to continue displaying at 700px wide, and posts made after today to display at 1000px wide. I think I would need a when/else rule in my css but I’ve never done this and don’t want to mess anything up! My site is https://goldlionstyle.com/

I would like to move the three-bar menu button on the mobile view to be under the logo/header. I have done this for the larger views using the below code in my functions.php file:

This works well for large screen sizes. However, when reducing the window size on a PC, the menu changes to the mobile three-bar menu.

The issue is that this menu is a hover-over, not a click-open. When hovering, the above code forces the menu below the header, and so there is no physical way to move the mouse from the three bar menu button to the actual menu.

You can test this here, be sure to set the window width to 920px or less:

I’m trying to remove the header/logo image and navigation bar (and the line under the nav bar) from only one page. I have this code in my css:

.page-id-265 header#header.site-header {
display: none;
}

.page-id-265 .omega-nav-menu, .omega-nav-menu > ul {
display: none;
}

when I remove the page id piece, it removes the header and navigation bar from all of my pages, so I know it’s right, but it doesn’t seem to be selecting this one page. The page id, from what I can see, is 265, so I don’t know what else I can do or try. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My site is https://www.bibliophone.com and I’m having some trouble with the mobile responsive menu.

It works perfectly well, but for the fact that the ‘hamburger’ menu bars (I believe that’s who they’re referred!) look messy because they cover up my header image. What I’d like to do is remove the mobile menu bars entirely and leave the full-size screen menu in place, because my menu only contains two items. I.e. they will fit without any problems on a smaller screen anyway.

Any ideas?

Tried to display my featured image in the actual post. At the moment it is just shown as thumbnail on the main page.

I set default post format already on “image”, but nothing changed.

EDIT: I FOUND A SOLUTION>

I am using the Omega theme as my main page. I created a new page to use as a redirect confirmation page for a registration form (the plugin is Simple WP Membership) and that page was inserted into the sidebar menu on the theme main page automatically.

I edited the main menu in the dashboard and that is showing as correct, but I have tried several different browsers on a laptop and an ipad, and the confirmation page is still listed in the side bar menu on my main page.

This confirmation page should only appear for those who register and submit a completed registration form and not as a menu link anywhere. I have unchecked the “add new pages automatically” option, and it is set to be viewed only by new registrants. I deleted the page from dashboard and it disappeared from the sidebar menu, then I went back in and added a new page again and it reappeared on the sidebar menu automatically.

I check the page source code and it is listed there. The side bar edit menu allows me to exclude pages but I could not get that to make the page not show.

I am using the Beta child theme for this theme and for some reason the logo will not either disappear or shrink for mobile devices.

I’m using the Omega child theme called Me. I’m having a problem with blog posts only (not static pages). There are two main problems:

1. Links are not working (they are not clickable and display as regular text).
2. Paragraphs are not displaying on posts. Instead, the everything is displayed as one long string.

I’d like to add the search bar to the header rather than the sidebar. I’ve found various examples of code to add, but it’s either not related to this theme or it’s a few years old, and I’m new enough that it’s hard to sort through.

Any suggestions for what to put where? Should I be trying to use a child theme at this point?

I expanded the width of my content section to 650px rather than 600px – I don’t like the large gap between the content and sidebar when it’s set to 600px. My issue is that, when I do this, the mobile view of my site no longer adjusts to the screen – you have to scroll back and forth to see the entire width. Not sure what needs changed to correct this.

I am using Omega with a child theme that I created (website is https://goldlionstyle.com/ ). Right now my single post pages are 700 px wide with one column, no sidebar (example: https://goldlionstyle.com/zilker-botanical-gardens/ ). I would like to change the single post page to be wider to 1080px, but I’m worried that doing so will ruin the layout of how my older (700px) posts appear. Is there a way to create a rule so that all posts before ‘x’ date appear as they are now, at 700px wide, and posts after ‘x’ date appear in the new format at 1080px? Or a way to allow different page templates to be used on single post pages?

Hi, I just created a child-theme of shopping, i copied all the file of omega and i pasted them in my shopping2 child-theme of omega directory, so I have my two menù but the sidebar now is to right (content\sidebar) and i can’t to choose sidebar\content. How can I have sidebar\content in my child-theme? Why the new update of omega don’t support 2 menù and the change sidebar position? Why my logo in child them disappear after the update?

I’m pretty new and trying to figure out if there’s a way to hide the site header image except for on the home page – or, alternatively, is there a good way to get an image to span the screen under the nav bar menu on top? The site isn’t up yet, but I haven’t made any changes to the code beyond adding a picture to the header via the branding plug in.

Not sure where to start. Our website is powerdowndc.com. We update images on the site every month and otherwise don’t do much with the site in terms of the backend. The front end of the site is working fine, except that I really need to update the images and cannot.

Last month we got a weird string after updating each page that read “Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, string given in /home/corwei5/powerdowndc.com/wp-content/plugins/download-media-library/download-media-library-admin.php on line 74” It repeated down a full page, but would update the edits.

Now I have tried to go in again, and the visual editor is not showing up at all, and (just to test it) when I hit “Preview” I get that same string.

All the plugins are updated, and our web designer tried turning them off one by one to see if any specific one was creating the problem. No change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated…
