Hi — how can I remove some of the icons for the social networks?

I only want to leave instagram and whatsapp.. I tried leaving them empty in the configuration, but the icons are still shown..

Hello!
I see that I can have either the logo or the site title and tag line in the header. I want to have both. Is there a way to accomplish this? When I upload the logo at the 150px x 150px the text copy of the site title and tag line disappear. Thanks!

1) Can i read about the theme anywhere else? i want to understand which parts of the set up correclate to which parts of the screen. For instance
a) How do you get the round menu buttons to appear that show on the sample?
b) when i fill in menu links they do not appear on the theme
c) can you change the order of the page URL links that appear across the top of the main page slider picture?
d) what is differnece betweena page URL acorss the top and a menus item?
e) How do you add change pictures to the slider?

If there is a place to go and read please advise.

I just purchased the premium version og oceanic. But im using wordpress.com, the online easy version the make a webpage..not a program on my computer. All i got was a file to download, but i dont know how to use it???. Is it not possible to get the features unlocked/working on wordpress.com???

Ok I can’t get the slider working:

1. I created a post called slide 1, added in the featured image same size at the other slides. Put in some random text into the editor.

2. Made a category called it ‘slider’

3. Went to the theme slider options and wrote in slider to select it …

and I got what you see is … it’s just showing up as a regular blog posting on the page …the slider has vanished…and just lists of posts there.

I made an update to one of my website pages and when I check to make sure the updates has populated while logged in as the admin, I see that it goes through. However, when I log out and check the page, that update doesn’t show.

I’ve checked it in both Safari and Firefox, and on my iPhone. I also went ahead and deactivated all of the plug-ins. At the server level, I’ve opted in for both https://www.and https:// to work. Any help you could offer would be very appreciated.

I have posted an entry and there is the button that says add contact form. I clicked that and have them put a name and a comment but I cannot get it to post on the bottom of the article when they do it. I went through and checked all the boxes that says anyone can post and unchecked any that says needs approval before showing but the comments section on the side will not post any comments as well as any comments on the bottom. Can you help please

When I place a youtube video in a post it shows up just fine. However on the front page where the most recent articles are shown, the article text shows up but now video.

What can I do to rectify that.

Site has been up for months and working fine. No changes in the slider configuration have been made, but the site is no longer showing images in the slider. Anyone else having this problem?

To rule out the obvious – the Slider category exists, is populated and each post has a Featured image. These images are present on the server as referenced by the posts, and all of these images previously displayed properly. The issue appears to be the same on mobile and in all browsers tested.

I’m using Oceanic Premium theme and everything has worked like charm until now.

I am able to log in to wp-admin and access admin panel as usual. All settings are accessible and working. However, when I try to view the site as admin, all I see is the public view. There is no admin bar on the top of the site and the “edit”-links are all gone.

Also I can’t preview anything on the site. I get an error message saying “You do not have permission to preview drafts.”

Also I am able to access the customization panel as admin, but live preview is not showing up. Instead I get an error code saying “Your session has expired. Please log in to continue where you left off.” (Image: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/60867018/1.png)

I have tried to shut off all plugins, update WordPress manually via admin panel, switch to default theme and a couple of other tricks, none of them successful.

When I press on a link on the primary menu, before loading the correct menu, the mobile version is shown (only in Google Chrome (48.0.2564.116)).

I’ve used the standard header layout, if it is useful.

I recently added WooCommerce to the site and nor the right side of the header has account/cart/checkout info instead of the phone number. Is there a way that I can:
– Add the phone number back in on the right side of header
– Make the phone number larger

Only issue is I can’t generate an RSS feed.

Is there another URL instead of feed?

Maybe there is a setting missing??

I’m editing the slider on the front page. I’m uploading photos to the posts and tagging them “slider” but they’re all very big.

What is the size for the images on the slider? I have tried to resize to smaller size and then they end up blurry. Any help is appreciated!

I activated the search on the customize menu / layout and I can see the search icon and box in the editing mode but when I go on the website directly it doesn’t show, would you know if I missed anything?

Hi there,

I have installed the free version of the Oceanic theme and everything is fine accept for the menu. When I hover over the tabs, the font changes color, but the tabs don’t change to ocean blue like they do in the demo.

We are using Oceanic Premium, with Woo Commerce installed 2.4.13 (if that has any relevance) but when testing on any mobile device the top menu doesn’t work, any ideas.

I’ve customized the appearance of the theme considerably for the site I’m working on (https://theaperturegroup.co) but it’s causing a problem with menu items appearing on the mobile version. On desktop, the menu text is green on a white background, switching to white on green background when hovered with the mouse. Unfortunately on mobile, it’s just white on white so items are illegible unless currently active (i.e. the current page).

Ideally, given the newer format of the mobile menu, I’d like to simply exclude the mobile menu from the styling I’m applying to the menu items for desktop, but I can’t seem to get that to work using @media or any other solution I’ve come across and I can’t locate the mobile styling tags if they exist.

Can anyone tell me how to apply the css to desktop only, or alternately how to style the mobile separately so I can make the items reappear?

Would like to set the Header, Footer and Menu backgrounds to 50 or 60% opacity but cannot seem to get it to work. These areas are white or dark grey in my design, with a full screen image slider behind. I’d like the images to be visible through the header/footer/menu containers.

I’ve been trying to add the appropriate opacity tags to .site-container but it seems the property is coming from elsewhere.

Anyone know where I need to add these properties?

Just purchased oceanic. Wanted to change the background color for the top header. I didn’t see a way to do it within the theme editor, so i used siteorigin CSS Editor.

From what i could see, it appeared as this was the area:

header.header-stick.stuck {
background-color: #cfab74;
}

With the above addition, i got what i wanted when using Chrome, but it did not work using firefox.

So, either there is a bug, or perhaps i’m using the wrong CSS.

When I activate Woo commerce, it completely changes the current layout of images in Oceanic premium on my front page. If I renamed the front page to something else, would that help? Is it the name or the location causing the problem? How can I avoid this as I have just completed the layout so I like it. Thanks

Loving the theme, and have got things pretty much exactly as I want them except for this…the text location for the slider (i.e. where the “body” of the slider posts is displayed over the image) is fixed, and doesn’t work for some images. Is it possible to select this location? Per slide perhaps even?

Would like to exclude certain elements of a menu when viewed from a mobile device – essentially some menu items have submenus that are too numerous for mobile use and I’d like to keep them for desktop but exclude them from the mobile menu. Is there a simple way to do this by tagging them or something similar?

I understand that the default resolution for featured images, unless changed in functions.php is 352×230 (please correct me if I am wrong). I usually double that resolution to 704×460 when creating my featured images so as to get higher quality images. However, what should I do in order to later have control over the size of the featured image as it appears in the post (as compared to on the left of the post excerpt on the homepage)?
