I made no changes to the layout or CSS of my site, but all of a sudden my main horizontal navigation bar is all the way to the left now rather than centered with the rest of the site.

I have a child theme set up, so a theme upgrade shouldn’t have caused this, but I don’t know what else might. I have figured out the code which impacts that area and I can change things like the background color, but I can’t get it to really line up right like it should.

Friday I logged in to do some work on my website and saw the theme needed updating, so I did it. Unfortunately, that update zeroed the theme back to the original upload of the theme and all my CSS and other modifications were GONE!! It even modified the major layout of the theme (right-side navigation).

Luckily I had my previous CSS file on my computer, so I uploaded, though there are still some problems I’m going to have to edit to get it back to what I had because evidently other theme files were also edited. Then, I noticed that the theme, again, said it needed updating! Come to find out, every time I update a file, it will say the theme needs updating, and, if I do that, it just goes back to zero with all my edits gone again!!

Sure, I can just ignore the message that the theme needs updating, but what if there’s a security update? How will I know? Also, since it’s changing all the CSS and other files, what a pain to have to re-do all my work!

I can’t keep using this theme if the updates will continue to change the theme php and CSS files.

I like to change the background color of the window title to what it was prior to the latest update. Can you let me know how?
In customization, I was able to only change the background color.

My site is https://www.pigorety.ro (with northern-clouds theme) and i have a problems with him .
The frontal Menu has disappeared although I went to Settings-Customize-Appeareance- Navigation- Primary menu . A few days ago he worked . In the time the menu worked i installed some plugins and widgets , i’ve tried different themes (but i kept the theme)
I also put the Google Analytics code in header.php . I guess after that the frontal menu didn’t appeared . Then to repair this thing i uninstalled the plugins , widgets , and i removed the code but still the menu doesn’t appear .
I guess is a problem from css when i put the tracking code from google analytics .
I am not so good with site editing so i don’t know what to do .

This is an excellent theme! Love the responsive feature.
It is also very customizable.
However, I have created a child theme and find that the child theme styles are not being used.
I’ve created child themes in the past of other WP themes so I am pretty sure I’ve set it up correctly. Is there something written into this theme to not allow child themes?
Otherwise it must just be me and I will try to figure what I’m doing wrong.
