In my free Newsium theme I have a two-column slider on the home page. When I load the site or go back to the home page it happens that for a few moments the first image takes up all the space of the slider, then everything goes back to normal. How can I prevent this from happening? I can’t post the link because the site is still under construction. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Hello, with the 12 May 2021 update to the Newsium theme free version (1.1.5), the behavior of the frontpage sidebar changed. I have a static frontpage with a sticky sidebar (main sidebar comprising 2 text widgets), and with the previous version of the theme, the main content area and sidebar peacefully lived side-by-side. When I updated the theme today, without any other changes to my configuration, the sidebar now plops right on top of the main content window aligned to the left.

I can fix it if I turn off “Make Frontpage Sidebar Sticky” in the Frontpage layout settings, but now the sidebar content falls to the bottom. This makes it so the site doesn’t look broken, but I prefer the content to be visible on the right side. The problem only happens with the standard desktop viewport. For the narrow and mobile viewports, the sidebar drops to the bottom like it normally should.

After updating the theme to the most current version, the default WordPress item “Theme Editor“, which is in the Appearance menu, disappeared.

For the Exclusive Posts section, it uses articles from my posts section.

However, I am using a News aggregator to run my articles on my website. I was wondering if there was any way I could use a widget or shortcode, so that the Exclusive Posts section picks up articles that have been generated by my news aggregator. e.g, So when someone clicks on one of the articles in the Exclusive Posts section, it takes the person to the external website where that article is.

Some of the images on the larger homepage thumbnails become so enlarged, that it becomes impossible to tell what the image is.

This is the case for some of the images on the Carousel Column sliders on the Main Banner Section, and the AFTN Posts Slider on the Front Page content section.

How do I stop these images becoming so enlarged on these thumbnail?

When I upload a logo to the header section, it creates a large gap between the top of the logo and the top of the header section.

How do I reduce this space so that the logo fits properly into the header?

How can I removed the featured image from the post, but still utilize it as a thumbnail?

When loading the homepage, a loading spinner appears for 3-4 seconds before the homepage becomes loaded.

Is there any way to reduce the time of this loading spinner? The homepage is taking to long to load.

Unfortunately I have problems with removing the Google Fonts.

Should these not be removed by the following command in the Functions.php ?

Hey all, I’m in process of setting up my soon-to-be launched Celebrity news site. I’ve chosen Newsium as the theme and so far things are coming along great.
However, I was wondering about swapping out the image in the Header Image with a 4k video. More interesting than static, right?
Rather than deep dive into changing up codes (I’m a noob) I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions around any Plugins that might do the job?
Anyone have experience using a particular Plugin that works well with Newsium theme that will allow me to swap out the Header Image with a Header Video?

After the Newsium theme update on the site I own, I get the error that there are invalid URLs in the “id” field in too many desktop sections in the Search Consol Content Maps area.

How can I fix this problem?

Is there anyway to add rss and email to the social menu? Also can you add regular text there such as a menu? If so, how? When I try to do either it shows white boxes. PLease let me know. Thanks
