Just figured out that you don’t get the flashing if you give the image a caption, but that’s not a solution!

Newsframe now gets image flashing problem on Google Chrome when you hover an story image. Only affects that browser, annoying as hell. See the error at:

Hover over any image on Google Chrome on the PC and it will flash.
Perfectly fine on all other browsers

Any ideas anyone?

Love your theme and it works quite well. But a small problem is the “Load more” button with infinite scrolling. I want to have it translated into German like “Mehr laden”. But where can I change it?
As workaround I disabled infinite scrolling for now.

Question 1: Will the future update revert to the one before the current update with regard to (i) the font, and (ii) the Navifation Menu?

Question 2: Since I prefer the one before the current update, shoiuld I just disregard future updates?

Suggestion: On Mobile theme. Current and the one before current still have something left to be desired in terms of the layout for various sizes of fonts and images in proportion to the desktop presentations. Having tested over 30 themes, I have concluded that the best default theme for mobile devices is Twenty Fourteen albeit there are still something left to be desired.

Therefore, if you are receptive to my suggestions, please consider revising your mobile theme along the line of Twenty Fourteen. And, if you can make (i) the Menu part better, (ii) a logo implantable above the default header,and (iii) the fonts more classy and elegant than the insipid, boxy default ones, your mobile theme must be the best in the industry.

First I would apptreciate it, if you would allow us the option to save the orignal fonts to our Child Themes,because your recent update has not only destroyed the regal beauty of your Theme, but also destryed my entire website.

I have practically re-font and re-size throught oput my entire website.

The worst is anything from h4 down looks boldy and squarely, nothingwithstanding my efforts going through many from Google Fonts, only to be confronted with the same ugly deafult from the Theme.

Please (i) allow me to go back to the orignal fonts, and I will save them to my Child Theme (ii) correct the issues of identical default squarely fonts.

I know this is a free Theme, but you owe a good faith duty to any end user a prior warning of any drastic change to prevent detrimental harm that shpould and could have been avoided.

Sorry for my honest feeling, but I trust you can un derstand and help me through professionally.

I just noticed that my website looked different from the one I revised based on my Chiold Theme.

The Fonts have changed; the layout has changed.

They don’t look as classy and elegant as before.

Whta happened. Pleade advise and help ASAP.

I am attempting to embed a Youtube, Vimeo, or Soundcloud embed as the featured image thumbnail on the homepage, rather than the feature image. I’ve looked up multiple ways of doing it from plugins to inputting code, but it seems that theres a line of code missing from the newsframe file that is in other themes, which is used in just about every plugin for this feature. And the line of code I’m talking about (which people say would be included in the single.php) is this: the_post_thumbnail(‘main’)

Now I’m trying to change the entry meta data to only display the date instead of “posted by…xyz”. I’ve looked up on a couple of other forums how to do this and it seems that the line of code people are using with other themes is not present in the Newsframe theme. Dear Mr. Jenkins,

Recently, I found a need to creat some Posts for easy and specific reference. However, the default Post has a Sidebar of Search on the right and the information about the time and author of the Post.

What I would like to have is a plain and simple Post that looks like a full-width page witbhout any sidebar at all, nor any information of the time and author of the Post.

I would be most grateful, if you would grace your advice to help me accomplish what I hope to achieve.

I am using a child theme for editing my web and I have created a child php function for standby needs.

Thank you very much for your recent support resolving my problems beautifully. I managed to resolve the remaining 2 requests myself, i.e., hover color and solid color after selection of current page. Here is my web in progress for your reference.

Now, I need 2 more recipes from you, if I may,: (i) Sticky Menu, and (ii) Scroll to Top toggle at the Page bottom on the right. These 2 features will perfect your webdesign.

Both feature are essential for a reader, because the web pages are bound to grow longer as the day goes by.

In addition, could you please reduce the title font size for your mobile edition, like Twenty-Fourteen, making it more readable for mobile devices? I prefer your mobile theme, again for its simplicity and elegance.

I must commend your design is most elegant, rivaling, even surpassing, mainstream media publications.

I am using the rss feed to auto-post some of the posts on my blog; however, the posts title is repeated twice when using this theme. the first title points to post page, and second title points to the rss feed source page. how do I prevent the repeated title from showing or changing the font of that title?

Can my home page be my post page and if so do I create a post page or not?
